[Regaining consciousness was odd for the high school boy. After having experienced, perhaps the worst thing in his life, his new setting felt serene, majestic, nothing like where he was before.]

Did I…die? [Again.]

[He wondered. Ryuuji didn't notice the box on his chest before sitting up. After having felt it land on his lap did he pay any attention to it.

Okay. This is weird. First a hotel that tries to kill you and now a starter kit to this Genessia city.

Then it hit him.]

LUKE!

[The teen was almost certain the redhead was with him, but it was hard to tell because he went in and out of consciousness due to being sick. It was night…and he really didn't remember any of what happened. Maybe he did die again. Either way the redhead was nowhere to be found, maybe he should utilize this videophone.

Ryuuji found himself outside of the Bay, though still horribly confused.]

[Transmission]

So this…Genessia place…is nowhere near California, is it--or Japan for that matter?

[Not that I've ever heard of Genessia either.]

And has anyone seen a red haired, fair skinned guy? He has green eyes and is about 165cm tall? His name is Luke. I was kind of…with him before I came here.

[I hope he's okay.]

Sorry for bothering you with my questions. I just have no idea what's going on.

[(Luke)]

[The redhead had awakened with a start.

Although his memories were fuzzy, his thoughts were racing. Where had he been? What had he been doing? What…had happened?]

…

[Reading the pamphlet answered the question of where he currently was. The other items were surprisingly informative, as well (it was a good thing there were instructions with the device). His chest tightened as it sunk in. He was in yet another strange place…?

Then, suddenly, without a thought--]

Takasu!

[Ryuuji- Was he okay? Last Luke remembered, he'd been incredibly sick. He needed to find him, damn it! Within minutes he was up, feet moving before he'd even consciously told them to. It wasn't long afterward that he heard a familiar voice. Steps freezing, he listened to the words, eyes widening as they landed on the source. The dark-haired teenager was talking on the weird device, and standing only feet away.]

You're okay!

[Ryuuji may have not needed to use the network had he realized they were brought together, just not at the same time. After living through the Californian hotel, the change of pace seemed…less dangerous.]

[Ryuuji couldn't help but feel a kind of happiness when seeing Luke reunite with someone familiar to him. His happiness shown through a soft smile when he watched them hug. Not wanting to interrupt their moment, he stood off and waited patiently.

Though he didn't have to wait too long before Luke dragged him into the moment by introducing him to the girl.]

She is from your world.

[That confirmed it.]

It's… [He still getting use to this meeting people gig.] nice to meet you?

[He's just going to be shy and awkward now.]

[ She was taken back by his appearance, because he looked the same, and nothing had changed. He was Luke, with the same hair, eyes, clothes, and feeling. She was fighting back the sorrow that was building up inside her heart but at the same time, she was happy that he was here-- that he was safe and not dead.

She never once believed he died, but it only made it harder to realize that he wasn't dead. It had been three years, and she had not given up, but she knew at some point she would have given up. ]

Luke...

[ She was taken back when he hugged her, pulled her to him, with his strength. She couldn't stop it anymore. She couldn't stop the tears that started swelling from the corner of her eyes, before returning the hug, tightening her grip on him, as if to confirm that he was not an illusion she was seeing right now. She was overwhelmed with so much emotions as she hugged him in return. ]

I am the same...

[ She blinked back the Tears that were swelling at the corner of her eyes. ]

...Ah...pleased to meet you.

[ Her expression seemingly changed back to her usual calm and collected. ] I am Tear Grants.

[ He was somewhere else? There was definitely confusion in her eyes, but she remained collected. ]

Yes we are from the same world.

[As soon as he'd felt her grip on him tighten, one of his hands move to rest against the back of her head. The redhead's expression softened immensely just before he released her. After he released her, he noticed the moisture in the brunette's eyes. His expression became strained as he fought off the pain in his throat.

Even so, it barely did any good, as the corners of his eyes glistened with the threat of his own tears. Luke gave a cough, after Tear finished speaking.]

Ah...yeah, Takasu and I were in a place called Hotel California. [He sent Ryuuji a look that gave a sarcastic 'best place, ever, right?'.] I'll tell you all about that, later.

[Sorry, he wasn't in the mood to talk about that place, at the moment.]

It's kind of complicated.

[More of a nightmare, but details.]

[ It was enough time for her to hang on and enough time for her to let go and retain her usual composure. She always had to be strong no matter what. Even if it hurts inside. Even if she wanted to cry, she couldn't-- not right now. She had to be strong. She could see it in his eyes that he had the same thoughts at her, or at least ones that were similar. ]

Alright. It seems like now isn't the time for such explanations.

[ She nodded her head to Ryuuji. ]

Yes, I understand.

[He paused, then reached to rub at the back of his neck.]

Heh...yeah...complicated. [Muttered in response to Ryuuji. Because, seriously, it was more like a nightmare.] So, um- is it...just you, here, Tear?

[He's not going to get in the middle of this. Nope.]

Yes, I have yet to find anyone that is from Auldrant aside from you, Luje.

[ Oh Ryuuji. Tear just gives him a smile to know that she's regarding his presence. ]

Thank you for looking after Luke.

Ah...I see... [He awkwardly shifts, trying not to look too disappointed. Because, hey, there's Tear and Takasu! He's immensely grateful just for that, alone.

He smiles over to the other teenage boy, after Tear's thanks.]

Heh, Takasu...is actually the only reason I was able to remain sane. [Grin.] He was really the only person I trusted in that entire place.
