[Action/Locked] [Backdated] Bitty Birthday Bonanza!
Who: Luke and Koishi!
What: Luke's birthday! Yay!
Where: The zoo! Possibly the aquarium later!
When: July 22nd
Warnings: Lethal amounts of cute
[ Track: Truly Glory ]
The day probably should have been like any other day... though things rarely go like that when one lives in a fantastic world full of a variety of colorful and inhuman characters. This is why it probably shouldn't have been too much of a surprise when Luke's alarm went off and he opened his eyes to see a certain green youkai literally perched on one of his bedposts.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUKE!" And then she pounced.
Not waiting for him to fully gather his mental faculties, she lifted him straight out of bed, spinning him around once, twice, three times, undoubtedly disrupting Suna. "Birthday birthday it's your BIRTHDAY!" Placing him down, she squished his cheeks, giving him a bit of a fish face. "And I have a surprise for you! I do! We're going to the zoo!" It's not much of a surprise if you tell him, Koishi.
Either way she hopped off the bed and zipped inside. There was a breakfast waiting for him. Like before the bowls did not appear to belong to Luke. Koishi would undoubtedly take them home when he was done. "Sis made you some oyakodon with miso soup!" Well, whatever it was, it smelled delicious. Oyakodon appeared to be chicken mixed with egg over rice. And the miso soup was less familiar but certainly contained quite a few vegetables. In addition Koishi had brought an entire basket of fruit from Chireiden's gardens.
To top things off there was a present on the table poorly wrapped in the same somewhat drab brown paper that Koishi wrapped all her gifts in. But it was the thought that counted.
"We're going to have so much fun today! I can't wait!"

After being thoroughly shaken and spun Luke blinked, rubbing his eyes. It was his birthday, wasn't it? Fifteen--he'd been here nearly two whOle years. "Ah--good morning, Koishi!"
When he follows, Suna does as well, a three-creature parade into the kitchen. He's not even awake enough to be concerned about his absent hat, instead ruffling his fingers through his hair. "Your sister is always so nice to make so much food for me! And you're so nice planning birthday things, even though it's...not the same as a birthday at home."
Suna climbs his leg and then torso to wrap herself around his shoulders (she does get a bit jealous of the attention Koishi gets), her face resting comfortably on his shoulder as he settles in his chair.
Suna sniffs the soup as Luke serves two portions, one for himself and one for Koishi--he always serves her, even knowing she tends to refuse. It's rude otherwise. "The zoo! I love animals. That will be a lot of fun!"
