I think I have a good idea of what's going on, but I hope no one minds if I still ask a few questions of everyone.

From what I understand everyone with one of these, [He uses his free hand to lift the pendent up. His was mostly yellow with flecks of blue and red in it.] is "real" and abducted to this world. That's quite amazing when you think about it! I never expected in my whole life to experience such a fantasy like event.

But, moving on. I was curious about everyone else here. What sorts of places and states did you come from? Also, how do you feel about this place? Is there a motive behind being here? Surely there is a purpose, otherwise why go through the trouble? It must be a lot of trouble to punch a hole through to another world as well, so there must be some sort of goal involved.

Ah, but don't worry if you don't know, I'm mostly just talking to myself.

In my experience those aren't exactly daily occurrences most people participate in....

However, what you describe so far really sounds like the sort of thing you would find in a game in my world.

Well, I find that incredibly interesting. In fact, recently I was in something like a game myself.

Y-You were in a game? Was it sci-fi?

Hmmm, I think it was trying to be a life simulation, but it was more like survival horror.

H... Horror? So was it really scary? Were, Were there dark forests and evil girls?

Nothing like that. In fact it was a rather delightful tropical island.

However there was a mutual killing game as well.

Th-That doesn't sound like a very fun game. I... I would quit.

Oh, I don't know, it had its moments. The end wasn't particularly enjoyable though....

But, not much that could be done about it. We didn't have a choice.

Why not? W-Were you stuck?

Well, I call it a game, but, I didn't figure that out until much later.

H-How did you figure it out? And, how did you get there?

Some organization put us there. I only figured it out because I won information about it.

Wh-What did you think was happened before they t... they told you?

That I had been kidnapped to a tropical island.

In a sense though, it's both the same. It didn't really matter if it was real or not. And it's not like I actually got confirmation on my theory. For all I know I was wrong....

Either way that place has nothing to do with my anymore. I died and am now here.

Well no, not now. But I definitely died. There was no way for me not to. It was a perfect murder.

Though, I must confess, being here is definitely a failure in my intentions. But, such a situation is also a new door that can't be ignored.

Dying is neither bad nor good. However the reason behind it can make it meaningful or not. My death was definitely meaningful.

And as for before or after, it was definitely after.

I-I've always thought it was bad...
