[Accidental Video/Action]

[The feed starts with a view of the Bay's ceiling, from beneath the water. A second later and a hand reaches out and picks up the device, wiping it some. There's a glimpse of bright pink hair before the holder lowers the device to her side, seemingly unaware that the video was transmitting.]

This... shouldn't be happening... I need to find the others... I need to find Greg... Maybe Garnet will know what happened...

[Whatever she's talking about, she seems pretty worried. She stops to listen to the explanation of Weiss' hologram before venturing out into the city proper. She was easy to spot, at least. Eight feet tall, 10 if you counted the hair. She wore a black t-shirt with "Mr. Universe" on it, though the shirt stopped just short of her hips, and the white dress that extended beneath it looked as elegant and fancy as the shirt wasn't.]

[Rose nods at the camera, a sort of resignation on her features now. This wasn't the first person to say the same thing and with each telling, it sinks in a bit more that this is reality...]

So I've been told. I appreciate the information though. It's getting harder and harder to discount. I just wish there were some way of knowing what happened.

I don't think anyone really knows what happened, you know? The last place I was at gave me an explanation, but this place? It doesn't seem to have one at all...

[Which is a pain in the ass for sure, but Genessia's a lot safer in exchange.]

[She'd been to a couple of these places? Rose makes a mental note to pick her mind in the future.]

Yes. My son. Because I am what I am, my son and I cannot exist at the same time. My last memory before waking up here is giving up my physical form to bring him into the world.

[...woah. That sounds... pretty scary, actually. Still, Tori has figured out how places like this roughly work, so she can at least offer this woman some comfort.]

I wouldn't worry about that too much. This might sound weird as hell, but this place sometimes brings people from the same world at different points in time. I'm sure your son's just fine.

[She offers Rose a smile then, but there's a lot going on in her head. This woman had to give up her own form to bring her son into the world? That had to have been such a difficult call to make. And her son would have to grow up without her... Tori tries to push the thoughts out of her head. They're getting too close to personal territory for her own comfort.]

[She thinks for a moment. Garnet could see into multiple possible futures, seeing how the most minute of choice splinters into myriad possibilities, so it's not that big of a stretch to think some entity was able to directly pull from those possibilities. It would explain a few things like how human technology seemingly caught up to Gem capabilities with the hologram greeting...]

I see... that would explain some things, and I hope that is the case. I just wish there were some way of making sure that is indeed what's going on.

I'm sure that's the case, but I guess it doesn't hurt to hope anyway!

[She winks.]

Anyway, even if you don't figure out a way to find out for certain, I'm pretty sure that time isn't passing back at your world while you're here. Once you leave, you'll probably go back to giving up your form. [...that really is depressing as hell, and she can't quite hide it from her tone of voice.]

[For a human that might be terrifying, but an immortal magic space rock has different priorities and finds some comfort in that thought.]
