[The feed starts with a view of the Bay's ceiling, from beneath the water. A second later and a hand reaches out and picks up the device, wiping it some. There's a glimpse of bright pink hair before the holder lowers the device to her side, seemingly unaware that the video was transmitting.]

This... shouldn't be happening... I need to find the others... I need to find Greg... Maybe Garnet will know what happened...

[Whatever she's talking about, she seems pretty worried. She stops to listen to the explanation of Weiss' hologram before venturing out into the city proper. She was easy to spot, at least. Eight feet tall, 10 if you counted the hair. She wore a black t-shirt with "Mr. Universe" on it, though the shirt stopped just short of her hips, and the white dress that extended beneath it looked as elegant and fancy as the shirt wasn't.]

[It was difficult for Rose to stay sad when confronted with this infectious feeling of hope. Something she had long survived on during the Rebellion. She closes her eyes and nods, a gentle smile crossing her features.]

I'm not entirely sure how you know this, but I can't help but feel comforted all the same. That's what I love about you humans... you're so full of life, and hope, even when things are at their darkest.

That is very true... for humans. I'm afraid my fate is set in stone. But it is a fate of my choosing, and I have no regrets.

And either way, isn't being here already a diversion from your fate? I also had a fate that was rather set, but I still woke up here with new options.

[She cocks her head contemplatively for a moment.]

That is true... but I can't help but feel... wrong about being here. My very existence denied the life of another in my world, and I was more than happy to make that sacrifice. Having that taken from me feels... off.

[He blinks a bit trying to process that. After a few moments he smiles brightly.]

What an amazing thing! This world truly is full of surprises!

[But then he becomes contemplative. She had made a sacrifice and had been prepared for the consequences of it. Was it so different from his own current state?]

I think I can relate to this. I shouldn't be here either. Part of me does wonder what it means to be here. Is a second chance deserved even? But sometimes you just have to accept things as they come. Bad luck and good luck go hand in hand and you can only accept them as they are. It's important to just stay positive and realize when something can be beneficial. This world is odd, but it gives us different options, second chances, and a new narrative.

[There's a small sad smirk, one that belies a deeper wisdom behind it and the comment.]

Taking things as they come is not one of my strong suits. I've always been something of a troublemaker, of sorts. However, I understand the sentiment and I appreciate the thoughts.

[She smiles that sad smile again. Betraying her homeworld and her own kind was not something she did lightly, and she would never wish that sort of burden on anyone. Especially a human.]
