1st Order [Action / Video]
[Action]
[If one passes by the bay area you might catch the entrance of a quiet disgruntled blond dressed largely in white, the only black immediately visible being the shoes and vest beneath the white suit jacket. He's currently standing in front of the Genessia Commonspace, idly seeming to turn a key over in his fingers while eyeballing the building as if he somehow finds it offensive.
This isn't the first time he's been kidnapped, but at least this go around it would appear that he's more of a guest than confined prisoner. Not that this really makes things all that much better. A gilded cage was still a cage. What they seemed to have here was an illusion of freedom.
Perhaps, he'd change his mind in time, but this place would have to work to show him he was wrong.]
[There's only so long a time one can glower at a building, and thus once he'd sorted his thoughts out, he turned his attention to the phone he'd been given to examine it more thoroughly before finally ended up broadcasting a short message.]
Is there anyone else here from a world known as Gaia? I would like to speak with you if so.
[He would learn if he was alone here or not in a manner of speaking and then plan from there. Though while he waited for answers, he would head for Nettle and 27th street. He wanted to check out this Foundation that had been mentioned within the welcome message.]

It's then that he looks at the screen properly, well, shit.
Immediately he's flicking the video on.]
There's a few of us 'round here.
Perhaps you can brief me on who and how long you've been around?
[Casual conversation over a public line was one thing, for anything else he was going to want to work at securing this feed or talk to the redhead in person.]
Where are you?
Uhhh, haven't been around here too long. Less than a month, maybe a month, something like that. Rude's 'round here somewhere and then there's hero blondie and his friend that I'm not going anywhere near as I'm sure she'd break my face currently. Other than that, no one else.
[Yeeah, that'd probably be for the best.]
Just wanderin' Genessia, might be easier if you give me your location instead.

[He considers Reno's words, there's something simply off with the time frame presented there and it makes him wonder if he's been knocked out and sleeping in that pod for around a month before waking up, because he knows with a quiet certainty that Reno has not been missing from his side for so long.
It was good to hear that Rude was here. To be honest, he was largely indifferent about Strife or Lockhart. Their presence could prove to be useful should something nasty rear its head here. It was about the only use he had for them these days. Pest control. As long as they were civil towards him and his, he could be perfectly civil in return.]
I believe I'm on Oak Avenue currently. I'm headed for Nettle and 27th.
no subject
But he's taking note of those directions, humming softly to himself as he thinks about where that is exactly. If there's one thing he's good at with cities, it's picking up the lay of the land after a few wanderings and he's pretty sure his mind's map is accurate for the most part, at least with streets.]
On the way, boss. Don't do anything stupid before I get there, yeah? [HE'S SERIOUS, RUFUS.]
[Action]
She stops when she sees the disgruntled looking stranger and turns to look at the building that he's currently angry at. She wonders if the building hurt him in some way.]
Are you okay?
[Airy doesn't know if he's noticed her or not.]
[Action]
Here he was more or less a stranded stranger in a strange land with nothing save what he wore and what his captors had decided to grant him upon awakening. The fact that they expected him to live in the building before him until he could make other arrangements was galling.
Though it was a step up from the cave his last captor had shoved him into.
He let his annoyance melt away into polite civility as he turned his attention properly to the young lady beside him.]
I'm fine. Tell me, how much does a decent hotel cost in this place?
[Action]
With what you wake up with? It can last about a month if you're frugal though most can only make it last for one. Do you not like this place?
[Her head cants to the side.]
If you get a job you can buy an apartment.
[It seems obvious but Airy has met a lot of people who don't know that and she'd rather just cover her basis now.]
no subject
It isn't to my tastes, no. I'm used to more privacy than this looks capable of granting.
[He'll have to think more on the pros and cons of using the freely given room later. For now, he turns his mind the new subject that had just been raised.]
How does one go about gaining such employment here?
[Does he like the idea of working under someone again? No. However it wasn't as if he really had much of a choice in that particular matter if he was to gain more funding to support himself here.]
no subject
[It'd been an accident and now she is in charge of a lot of stuff and she still doesn't know how it happened but she likes her job. It keeps her busy while giving her the freedom to do what she likes, helping others and organizing things.]
What do you like? I can probably help you find something or if you'd rather look alone.
no subject
[It'd be a place to start looking at least. Perhaps give him an idea of what his prospects might be. Unfortunately, what he might like held no real bearing over the type of work he'd no doubt end up having to do.
He liked working with guard hounds, practicing with the Turks, be it physical sparing or working with guns. He liked solving problems with minimal fuss, turning an enemy into an ally, even if for a short period of time. Those last were harder these days, but perhaps it made them more worthwhile.
He considered how to answer the question and decided to give her a simplistic version of the task he'd been involved in prior to his arrival.]
I was looking into how to utilize cleaner and healthier sources of energy back home, I doubt there's much call for that here.
no subject
[It's Tony's and she only knows that because she's been working on the paper work though it isn't ready to be fully up and running.] Are you a scientist or engineer then?
no subject
Neither technically, but I've been around both since my youth. Personally, I prefer the engineer's over the scientists.
[The engineer's were less prone to play god in his opinion. Their budget was often more easier to deal with as well.]
I am rather good with computers if that counts for anything here.
no subject
[Airy glances to the south as if seeing something through the buildings. When she pulls her eyes back to Rufus she continues.]
You should see Nova City first. Everything there is usually a step up from what people are used too. At least from what I've seen. You might have to relearn a lot of computer based things. [Airy did, it isn't like they are using Window's 10 or anything she was familiar with.]
Once you get a hang of the interface it isn't so hard though.
no subject
[He listens quietly to that, and yes, he can understand how that could be an issue. Still, he was a quick study. Given the chance and a crash course in how things worked. It shouldn't take him too long to get back up to par on his ability to sweet talk computers into dancing to his tune.]
I'll have to see if I can find someone willing to give me a crash course in how they work here.
no subject
Did you hack into things a lot?
[She works with so many hackers that it's tiresome. She hates it when they decide to mess around with things.]
I know some people who know... but I don't know how much they enjoy teaching.
no subject
[Which is one way to put those events, even if it is an overly simplistic way to put it.]
Couldn't hurt to ask, could it?
no subject
[A job that involves bodily harm sort of unnerved Airy. After everything that's happened she finds a lot of what this man says unsettling. She doesn't want too, she thinks it's better to trust people, it might just be Tony's paranoia rubbing off on her which she also doesn't like.]
I mean it can hurt... emotionally. Terrance plays tricks in the office when he's bored and Tony is... Tony. I promise I like the people I work with.
Action
Not a great starting point. But it'd do.
Furthermore, he's known Rufus long enough to have a fair idea of how he'll behave - maybe not to Tseng-like levels, but not so far off either. Rufus will want information, so Rude will scope out the places that offer said information.
Sure enough, it doesn't take him long to spot the familiar blond and white shape up ahead. Rude picks up his pace a little, though still calm as he draws near enough to speak.]
Sir?
[And all the questions for when he got here and how he is and what he needs are all wrapped neatly into that one little word.]
Action
He could almost hear them in the tone the word had been delivered in. That concern and inquiry.]
I'm fine. I just woke up maybe an hour ago at the most. How long have you been here?
Action
[No sense repeating information and it's as good a way as any to work out if Rufus even knows Reno is here at all. And that neither of the other Turks are, given their omission from his question.
It's only been an hour, maybe. But Rude knows how quickly Rufus can work.]
no subject
[The last is casually spoken, but the idea behind it isn't something he likes. Yet, it is the only explanation to explain the time frame they're working with it seems.
Or rather it's the only one that actually makes any sense.]
no subject
[There are flaws in the logic, of course - if that were true, why not bring Reno and Rude at the same time, and then there's the matter of their colleagues either left behind or yet to awaken. But as an answer it suffices until they can find out more about the place.
But Reno's been in touch. Rude can take that to mean he can skip certain other warnings in favour of natural deference to his superior.]
So what's the plan?
no subject
Pointless really to ponder such things, given he currently can't do a thing about the situation and has very little to work with in regards to facts about this place and its reasons for kidnapping people here.]
Reconnaissance, job and house hunting.
[The first was apt to continue even after the latter two had been accomplished. He wanted to know why he was here and how he'd been kidnapped here along with two, possibly more, of his Turks. There were other smaller, minor things he also wished to know, but those two were his long-term information goals.]
What have you and Reno been doing since your arrival?
no subject
He might at least be able to help with one of the three questions.]
Getting used to the place, mostly. Got security work for a company in Nova City. Can probably find something for you there.
[It'd make his life easier, at least.]
action at the gsrf
It's not a wholly rare sight to see her there, but it's certainly less common than her being at the Guardian's office in Nova City or one of the Schnee Company branches. Since she is, she let the person who normally manned questions while the scientists worked have the day off. Just so long as no one minds the very organized clutter of many, many binders being organized, it works out fine. When Rufus walks through the door, she peeks out from behind a file cabinet behind the desk. ]
Do you need something?
[ Okay, her customer service isn't the best but at least she's on it. ]
action at the gsrf
Yes. The welcome message said I could find some answers here about this world. Could I see that information?
[He recognized the voice from the recording as the one who had spoken to him, but refrained from commenting on that for the time being.]
no subject
Also, since she grew up with maids she learned very quickly that messes make her uncomfortable and if she doesn't clean them up, no one else will. ]
You... can.
[ Except she's redoing the binders right now. She looks around for a moment. ]
Where would you like to start? I'm organizing it right now, but I can grab what you're looking for. Unless you'd just like to peruse the whole collection, in which case I'll have to ask you to wait a little while.
Action
He floated down from the roof he'd been perched on and hovered just above Rufus's head sitting on his staff]
Let me guess? You just woke up here?
video;
She hesitates for a moment before finally responding. He's going to learn of her and Cloud presence here soon enough anyways. She smiles but it's noticeably forced. She may have been able to find common ground with Rude, but that doesn't fully extend to his boss.]
I know of two guys here who will be happy to see you. [The underlying message being that she isn't.] Aside from them it's just me and Cloud here. And now you.
