Genessia City;《video》

[This feed starts off with a bang or rather a splash. A colorful stream of curses overpowers the commotion as this surly bloke struggles to get himself upright. After fighting his way out of this weird contraption (that subtly looks like some kind of egg or pod), Trevor finds himself knee deep in water. For the life of him, he couldn't remember the last few moments before he fell asleep. All he does remember is being lectured by Sypha and Alucard both. A memory he much rather forget considering the two of them are a pain the ass together. With a groan, Trevor Belmont speaks as he clutches onto this weird device.

So not only does God shit on me but he also pisses on me too?

[A huff escapes him as he peers down at this phone. Be damned if he knows what the fuck this is. Trevor never seen anything like it besides those queer crystal balls that mystic's use. While the shiny glass certainly reminds him of that, this shit looks like something that would be found in Dracula's accursed castle. The monster is actually a renown alchemist, isn't he? So claimed Alucard.

He stares at the device curiously as he dangles it above his head. Get a good look at that face, Genessia. He's going to be a known troublemaker around these parts.
]

So the hell is this? [He questions as he sloshes through the water.] A parting gift from the tombs?

[Trevor scoffs.]

Not bloody likely---Ooof! [His foot slips and he crashes into the water a second time.]

FUCK!

[Trevor Belmont, ladies and gents.]

Everglade;《a c t i o n》

[After successfully cursing out the hologram and gaining some intel to boot, Trevor wanders around town until he finds the Everglade gate. Thinking it somehow could link him home, the hunter steps through only to find himself in a modern day looking Wallachia. He tenses visibly once the thick fog rolls in. Something about this place gives him the creeps despite it being early evening.

Trevor wanders from shop to shop, combing his way through the alleyways for the sake of exploration. Eventually he comes to a little store called Cloak & Dagger, a curious spot not for the faint of heart. There's a few daggers on display that caught his attention, some more exotic looking than the next. Trevor has hald the mind to buy something here but trying to learn this new currency is a bit of a stretch for him.

In search for information, Trevor takes to the streets again. The hunter wanders for awhile until it hits evening. It's then that he finds himself gripping the hilt of his whip a bit tighter. Just what sort of horrors lie here? That's a question Trevor isn't eager to find out. Wandering throughout the town in this dense fog, the Belmont stops briefly at another curious shop boasting exotic meats called Edible Alternatives. Of course he shies away from this particular establishment since it features some really odd foods that simply don't seem kosher. While Trevor will admit to eating sine unsavory things while on the road, he draws the line when the meat looks less than edible. Plus the butcher there simply gives him the creeps.

His next destination is inside the sinful temptations of Holy Diver, a bar and nightclub ironically inside of an old church. This place suits him somewhat since there's a decent bar but all the nudity and raunchiness doesn't impress him. If anything, Trevor seems to ignore it all for drowning some spectacular rum. Four drinks in and he's already shit faced with a prominent blush across his cheeks.

My name is Cloud Strife. I just got here a bit ago. First things first, is man named Sephiroth around here? I was fighting him before I got here.

It's really important that I know if he is.

Thanks.

[Give it a few minutes and something else is added.]

If anyone from Radiant Garden is also here... please answer.

Thank you.

[ He's been here for a few days, however, this will be the first time he's making a public announcement. The screen will depict his body language, his speech and movement undulate with a calm presence and his dark eyes move to and from the video with his words. He is wearing a black suit, sharp tie, and pristine white collared shirt beneath his jacket. ]

The democracy of this society appears to favor the diversity of its inhabitants. However, I wonder if I am still naive in the newness of my arrival to truly appreciate the complications of the convergence. With this thought, I reach out to those who may find interest in answering a question:

To whom does this governing system work for? Furthermore, if not you, then what is it you seek?

𝓅𝓇𝒾𝓋𝒶𝓉ℯ
[ The video cuts from there, however, it fizzes to life once again and a separate message is sent only to the following parties: Reno and Elena. ]

Report to me your findings.

[Action A]

[Waking up in a pod is a new way of getting kidnapped or transported somewhere, though the whole experience of it was brand new and not something she was keen on learning anymore about. A frown crosses her lips as she's wiping herself off with an irritated noise in the back of her throat, hands immediately moving to see what is still on her person once the cleaning had been done. Pistol, a bit of ammo, that seemed more than enough to put her somewhat more at ease than her predicament otherwise would have been.

Of course Elena had the unfortunate experience of being kidnapped previously and every time further enforced certain things in her and this was no different. One hand rested just above where her weapon was tucked away as she finally moved for the exit, far too jumpy to be safe even once realizing she was in a city. Probably not the best time to be encountering new people.]

[Accidental video]

[Hopefully no one minds the screen spinning before settling on the ground, nothing particularly interesting about it.]

How much of this information can you even trust? Seems suspicious but what else is there to really go on? [The voice is more muttered to herself than anything else, but clearly audible.]

... Man, what am I even supposed to do here by myself? [A soft huff of annoyance is heard before the video is going to pitch black before shutting off, probably being shoved into a pocket.]

[Action B]

[The best course of getting any actual reconnaissance in a city setting? Check out the bars and listen into any small conversations or bits and pieces of mutterings from those with looser lips than her's. Which is exactly why she's keeping her head low at the bar top with a mostly untouched class in front of her. At least blond doesn't tend to stick out of a crowd as much as other hair colors, nor does a suit for that matter.]

a. Bay area

[Reno's not entirely surprised that he feels like he's had the best sleep he's had in a long time. With a job that requires sleeping lightly and the most recent catastrophes he's had to contend with, sleeping that heavily is a rarity that normally requires a not insignificant amount of booze beforehand.

More disconcerting is everything else: the fact he's woken up in a pod he doesn't remember finding his way into; the fact that none of his current surroundings seem at all familiar; the fact he can't remember anything at all between being with his fellow Turks and a recently-cured Rufus and shoring up somewhere new.

Frankly, it's a miracle he hasn't already thrown the box on his chest into the water already, given what could be in there. Even when he opens it - after making as many checks as he can to ensure it's not rigged to explode - he's none the wiser. He's never much good first thing at the best of times, and this is a hell of a lot of new to process.

Eventually, he makes it as far as the hologram. But he's wire-tense, senses on full alert and always with half an eye on the box he's still yet to remove the contents of, and as he listens to what is supposedly the full story it's with a slight scoff of disbelief, curses muttered beneath his breath.]

And right when I thought we were done with the bullshit for a little while.

b. The bars of Genessia

[For as cautious as he can be, for as cautious as he's been while he's tried to process the reality of what he's dealing with, Reno's never really been the sort to get too caught up in fretting over things. Once he's had time to process the basics - kidnapped but probably safe, with no apparent expectations save to live - and to perhaps do a little scouting out of the main city just in case - he figures there's really no point getting too worked up about things. Not to say that he's not keen to get back to what he knows but, well. He's got money in hand and the city has bars. Maybe he can consider it a vacation.

And so he makes his rounds of the bars within Genessia City, staying long enough to get a feel for how the atmosphere runs and if it's the sort of place he'd go back to. He finds himself drawn rather more to the dive bars, those that seem to cater to a broader range of people - partly because he hates the snobbishness of the posher places, more because he figures people-watching is a good way to learn about a place and for that, better to hit up the more varied places.

Not that it especially shows. On the surface, with his slouched, open posture and laid-back expression, he seems like nothing more than another bar patron. Only the sharpness of his gaze would give any indication that he's quite ready and willing to deal with any situations that may arise, for all he really just wants to chill out and drink a while. If company comes his way - for curiosity, or because he's spent too long watching someone and they've taken notice - all the better.]

[Action]

[If one passes by the bay area you might catch the entrance of a quiet disgruntled blond dressed largely in white, the only black immediately visible being the shoes and vest beneath the white suit jacket. He's currently standing in front of the Genessia Commonspace, idly seeming to turn a key over in his fingers while eyeballing the building as if he somehow finds it offensive.

This isn't the first time he's been kidnapped, but at least this go around it would appear that he's more of a guest than confined prisoner. Not that this really makes things all that much better. A gilded cage was still a cage. What they seemed to have here was an illusion of freedom.

Perhaps, he'd change his mind in time, but this place would have to work to show him he was wrong.]

[There's only so long a time one can glower at a building, and thus once he'd sorted his thoughts out, he turned his attention to the phone he'd been given to examine it more thoroughly before finally ended up broadcasting a short message.]

Is there anyone else here from a world known as Gaia? I would like to speak with you if so.

[He would learn if he was alone here or not in a manner of speaking and then plan from there. Though while he waited for answers, he would head for Nettle and 27th street. He wanted to check out this Foundation that had been mentioned within the welcome message.]

A. Call this a bar? [Jack's Bar & Karaoke, Genessia City]
[Rude might not know where he is or what's going on beyond what the hologram had told him but if this is like any city in the world he knows, he has a fair idea of where he might go to find out. His funds might be strictly limited until he can adjust well enough to determine where he wants to seek employment, but he has ways around that, too.

Which is what initially draws him to Jack's Bar. Clue's in the name, seems like a sure bet...except for the part where Karaoke is in the title too. Not really his scene, and probably not quiet enough for his needs, and yet he isn't quite moving from the spot he's found himself fixed to. After all, this might be the only place around here he can find a decent drink and while he has to do what he has to do, the temptation to bury all the uncertainty he's not showing or really admitting to under just one drink is pretty high.

His indecision wouldn't normally be an issue. Except he's parked himself in front of the door, and he's a little too big for most people to squeeze past, too. Even for those inclined to try, he radiates a natural bodyguard aura that suggests he might react to people in his space before he thinks about why they're there.]

B. Next best thing [Library, Genessia City]

[Once he's past the bar quandary, Rude decides that if he can't sit and lurk and drink in knowledge from other people, he'll follow his map to a place where he can sit and lurk and drink in knowledge from books instead. It means edited versions of what he really wants to know but it's the best start he has.

He takes his time in perusing the shelves, seeking out more factual sections - history seems to be his main aim, but he can't help but grab other topics of interest. He's not really paying much attention to the people around him but if he does happen to notice someone close enough who's struggling to reach something, he might take it on himself to silently pass them what they were stretching for without pausing in his own intentions even for long enough to suggest he expects to be thanked. Losing the distraction is thanks enough to him.

Soon enough, he has a decent stack of books to start on and has found a corner to settle into, away from most distractions but still close enough to others that he might glean potentially interesting snippets even here. He's taking his time in leafing through each volume, though he doesn't seem to be focusing on any one in particular yet. Instead, he's starting to form two piles based on actual usefulness of the book in question before he starts to read anything in earnest.

Throughout, the shades he wears stay put. Somehow, that doesn't seem to be slowing him down any.]

C. Wildcard [Genessia City]
[Neither of these work? Feel free to bump into him somewhere else. He'll be keeping his focus on Genessia City for now, but he'll be poking about as much as he can manage and just finding his bearings.]

[The lizard-like being that appears on the screen, floating in the skies of Genessia City itself is different from the one that appeared before. Shorter, to the point of being a midget with a pair of black horns sticking out of his head at 45 degree angles and striped pink sections on his arms, legs, tail and sides of his face. But the voice is all too familiar if a bit higher pitched.]

Hello again, my defiant little ants. It is I, Freeza, your Emperor speaking again having at last completed the survey of my new domain. And I think I will put on a demonstration for you all. One to make you realize just how far out of depth all to even try to stand against me.

[He's not going to mention that he has made several attempts at trying to crack the barriers in various places around here these past few days and ended up out of breath, dizzy and on the verge of passing out before his fist could even connect with one them or form a ki blast.]

As I'm sure most of you can tell, I look very different then when I came here. There is a reason for this. I decided to go to trouble of reverting back to my first form for the sake of this little demonstration.

You see, my species is a most remarkable one. We don't need sleep and can go for many years without the need to eat. We can survive horrific wounds that would kill lesser beings. We can endure nearly any environment, even the empty vacuum of space itself. And then there is our transformations...

The form you see before you is the one my kind is born in. However, it isn't our true one. My race possesses an innate and immense reserve of energy that far exceeds most lifeforms in our universe. But because the strain using it all is so great, evolution developed forms to suppress most of it and made it so that only the most naturally gifted among us could unlock said power such as myself. And so...

[He grimaces and a reddish-purple aura flares up around him. His tiny frame suddenly stretching and distorting in size and muscle Strong winds being created around him as his horns curve like that of bulls and limbs elongate and swell to three times their sizes. At last, he stands before the viewers as a towering giant version of his previous diminutive self. Those who can sense Ki or it's nearest equivalent will notice his power has also doubled. Freeza speaks now in a deep gravelly voice.]

This is the second form. Most intimidating is it not? My father, the late King Cold was the first to achieve it. And then I went and did him one better...

[Aura flaring up once, Freeza starts to change again. In seconds, he is now a squat monstrosity with an oblong skull, pointed snout, large spikes across his head and down his back and massive organic shoulder pads. The voice, a nasally snarling rasp.]

The third from. Quite the handsome devil, I am in it too. Of course, it's still only a stepping stone to...

[Powering-up a third time, cracks start to appear in the monstrous body finally shattering in a small explosion that seems to shake the entire city down below. From out of the smoke, appears the sleek androgynous form that people here should be well acquainted with. Unfathomable might radiating out of it like a warning sign for thousands of miles.]

The true and final from of my race. And believe it or not, that's far from the end of it.

[From the briefest of seconds, every muscle on his body bulked up in mass and that Ki signature of his goes through the roof and keeps going up... It will feeling like staring right into an all-consuming black hole. And then it ends as soon as it's started as if it was just a bad dream.]

I trust that some of you felt that and understood the implications. But if you didn't... I'll put it in the simplest terms possible. You cannot defeat me. My power is as vast as space itself and you are all specks that will be lost in it. Maybe there are some here who have abilities that can surprise me, perhaps even hurt me quite badly but then you'd have to be able to move at my level of speed to do it.

Are you really willing to risk losing your life and possibly the world you stand on to for that chance or will you be wise and realize how much easier things will be for all of us if you just submit my rule? Either way, I'm sure to get some entertainment from it. If you have a death wish, by all means come at me. I'll be waiting right here.

[It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure these things out and given the level of tech he's familiar with, this is hardly a problem to figure out. He snorts softly to himself as he finally clicks the video on, leaning up against one of the buildings of Genessia City, arms crossed over his chest and suit just as mussed up as it normally is. Dress shirt untucked, suit jacket unbuttoned, and hair a right mess. But that last part is pretty impossible to fix.]

Well, shit, been a while since I've had anything new to do and being dragged into a semi-peaceful lookin' place is certainly a nice change of pace. No one trying to destroy the world or take it over or what the fuck ever else craziness of the week.

I might have zoned out a little on that whole hologram thing, short attention span, if you wanna call it that. So I got a few questions for whoever can see this mess.

One: The fuck is with the jewelry? Who thought this shit was fashionable or practical?
Two: So this whole unable to leave thing, is that really true or some bullshit scare tactic to keep people in line?
Three: If you happen to know what Gaia, Midgar, or Shinra is? You might wanna contact me.
Four: What the hell do you people do for fun?
Five: Where's the closest damn bar?

The last is of the upmost importance.

[Action, Genessia City]

[To be fair, Reno was never one to sit around for long and tended to get restless if he even tried to do as such. Thus he'd immediately taken to wandering and learning the ins and outs of this particular city just in case he needed them for later. Whether for offensive purposes or to just get the hell out quickly and not have to worry about the repercussions of something he probably did.

Luckily he'd had a pack of cigarettes still on him and his lighter, so finding the redheaded man with a cigarette perched between his lips wasn't a difficult thing in the slightest.

He's poking his head into various businesses that may or may not be of some interest, just learning the lay of the land and anything that might be worth his time or effort.]
