Confession I [Video/Action]

[The video starts awkwardly, as if someone hit it by accident and didn't know it was running. It showed a young pale boy in all white that looked very much like elaborate priest garb. Of course that would be because it was. Though he was small he was definitely dressed like the Pope, hat and all. He looked distressed as he glanced around the bay and then sat down near the hologram welcome message unsure of what else to do.

What was going on? He didn't understand. He woke up in some sort of coffin, and then a hologram was talking. But... where was he exactly? He was even given some sort of device, but he wasn't exactly sure how it worked. It looked like an ancient relic, but he didn't really know much about those himself.]

I wish S-Sister was here....

[Caterina would know, she would know what to do too. Alessandro however did not. Was he kidnapped again? Was his life in danger again? But no one was here... it was just him, alone....]

What d-do I d-do...?

[It was then that he finally looked down at the device and noticed a blinking.]

Eh?

Ah! H-hello? Can anyone h-here me? I-is this working? H-help... I... I d-don't know where I am.... I d-don't understand what's h-happening.

[Abel was scrolling through his phone, searching the network for anything unusual, until he heard the cry for help. Of course, he almost choke on his iced tea, because this is someone from his world.

A friendly face appears on the screen.]

Your Excellency. Are you all right?

B-but... where is Genessia...? Am I s-still in The Vatican? I d-don't recognize th-that city though....

[He was confused, were they making a statement? Or... ah! They must be a citizen right? Perhaps he was somewhere else.... But they spoke latin, so they must be at least a member of the church!]

[He was almost crying in relief.]

[ A... Pope? A rather nervous one by the sound of it. Either way... her first priority is to inform Remilia about this, after confirming a few things. ]

It's ah...hard to say where it is in relation to anywhere else. Seems to be very peculiar to itself. Suffice to say it's very far away from where you know, to the point where the present almost abolishes the past.

Heh, well then by the law of exclusion, we must not be in the Darklands, for plenty live here! I do like the "of course", there; you've really no idea how rare that faith is nowadays.

How to explain this place...a world that steals from worlds. A motley assembly from all and sundry, with irreparable distance between here and home. But then I suppose a Catholic knows where everyone's true home lies, eh?

[Alice is close to the bay area, having only arrived a few hours before the young boy. She hears the distressed call on her phone and heads back the way that she came to find the boy. It only takes a few minutes before she's stepping back into the cave. She's noticed quite a few younger people here but seeing a teenage boy is a little upsetting.]

Are you alright?

[She has a soft tone and a warm Surrey accent when she addresses him. Dark hair falls over her shoulders while a motherly gaze looks over at him.]

Let's get you out of here and I'll explain. You're safe. [Alice can say that earnestly for the time being though she doesn't know if it'll stay that way. Her focus right now is on the boy.]

[If he didn't know, then that means it was okay. That means he didn't break his promise and Caterina wouldn't be as mad.]

[Aww man, just when things looked to be getting good. Oh well, he understood secrecy]

[He jumped with a visible start. To some it might have seemed like an over reaction but the boy really was that easily startled.]

G-go where?

[He really wanted to go somewhere that wasn't just sitting around here. But at the same time, he wasn't sure if he should just go with a stranger. His life was always in danger, what if it was a trap?]

[Alice kneels down to his level, something she'd done to comfort her students in the past. She flashes him a warm smile and waits for him to walk towards her.]

Just out to the street. If you'd like I can get you something to eat and we can talk about what has happened. [Her tone remains gentle and warm.]

I just woke up here in the same way. My name is Alice.

[When people were constantly trying to kill you whenever you left the house the idea that not telling people who you really were eventually sinks in.]

I-I don't know.... I've n-never been by myself before. Th-there's always other p-people.

Really? You look old enough. Well if there's anywhere you'd like to go, I don't mind accompanying. Been here for a good while myself, so I know some attractions.

[He wasn't sure what he should do. This person was being kind and helpful, and they were a child of the church. Yet....

[Ah! So it wasn't just him suddenly here! That meant they were in the same situation. His expression lightened at the thought, they were similar....]

[He tried to smile a little, it came off as rather weak.]

Though, I d-don't really understand, I was a-asleep and then... I was awake h-here.

[Thankfully, the priest brought a bike just yesterday as a part of his job as a travelling chaplain. So within that timeframe, the young lad who is destined to be the pope would see Father Abel on his bike.]

[Oh please call him a child of the church out loud. He could die happily.]

Heh, well truthfully the people themselves are the things best seen. But other, less rational sights will stir the heart just as well! There's the wild forests of Fayren--pretty beach, too. There's the shops around Genessia City proper, there's the bustling metropolis of Nova City with its automatic runways and lights that never fade, the quaint abodes of Attleton. Even the gym has a certain earthy appeal all its own.

[He took in the descriptions carefully. Normally he would be excited at the idea of going sight seeing. He never got to go out much, and he always enjoyed seeing new things when he could. But the last time he had gone somewhere... it had been so awful. It didn't change the fact that he felt very unsure.]

A-are there any ch-churches?

[He should at least go to a church first.]
