Confession I [Video/Action]
[The video starts awkwardly, as if someone hit it by accident and didn't know it was running. It showed a young pale boy in all white that looked very much like elaborate priest garb. Of course that would be because it was. Though he was small he was definitely dressed like the Pope, hat and all. He looked distressed as he glanced around the bay and then sat down near the hologram welcome message unsure of what else to do.
What was going on? He didn't understand. He woke up in some sort of coffin, and then a hologram was talking. But... where was he exactly? He was even given some sort of device, but he wasn't exactly sure how it worked. It looked like an ancient relic, but he didn't really know much about those himself.]
I wish S-Sister was here....
[Caterina would know, she would know what to do too. Alessandro however did not. Was he kidnapped again? Was his life in danger again? But no one was here... it was just him, alone....]
What d-do I d-do...?
[It was then that he finally looked down at the device and noticed a blinking.]
Eh?
Ah! H-hello? Can anyone h-here me? I-is this working? H-help... I... I d-don't know where I am.... I d-don't understand what's h-happening.

Heh, well then by the law of exclusion, we must not be in the Darklands, for plenty live here! I do like the "of course", there; you've really no idea how rare that faith is nowadays.
How to explain this place...a world that steals from worlds. A motley assembly from all and sundry, with irreparable distance between here and home. But then I suppose a Catholic knows where everyone's true home lies, eh?
no subject
I also th-thought....
[That he had been recognized.... Had he misunderstood? Caterina would scold him harshly for that.]
no subject
Go on! What did you think? I should like to hear these thoughts.
no subject
[If he didn't know, then that means it was okay. That means he didn't break his promise and Caterina wouldn't be as mad.]
Um....
I-I'm sorry....
no subject
[Aww man, just when things looked to be getting good. Oh well, he understood secrecy]
Ah, no it's all right. Everyone has their secrets. Do you want or need anything?
no subject
I-I don't know.... I've n-never been by myself before. Th-there's always other p-people.
no subject
Really? You look old enough. Well if there's anywhere you'd like to go, I don't mind accompanying. Been here for a good while myself, so I know some attractions.
no subject
[He wasn't sure what he should do. This person was being kind and helpful, and they were a child of the church. Yet....
What would Caterina say? It was too hard to imagine.]
What s-sort of a-attractions?
no subject
[Oh please call him a child of the church out loud. He could die happily.]
Heh, well truthfully the people themselves are the things best seen. But other, less rational sights will stir the heart just as well! There's the wild forests of Fayren--pretty beach, too. There's the shops around Genessia City proper, there's the bustling metropolis of Nova City with its automatic runways and lights that never fade, the quaint abodes of Attleton. Even the gym has a certain earthy appeal all its own.

A-are there any ch-churches?
[He should at least go to a church first.]
no subject
A few sprinkled about, certainly. Think I've been to all but the most exclusive at least once. The one I'm most familiar with is a Protestant one, actually, head up by one Mr. Spike.
no subject
[Why would you suggest that?]
W-would be a bad idea....
no subject
Heh, oh? Some residual schism, eh? I wouldn't worry so much; he's...well, I wouldn't say "tolerant" but he makes fine exceptions. I'm not sure he'd hurl Luther's flames at you.
no subject
[The idea made him distraught. Not because he had any particular political bias, despite his position. However, he knew that it would be political to even go to such a place, and even if people didn't know who he was... if it got out... if people knew... it would cause trouble. It would cause grief and it could cause war.]
S-Sister would d-d-definitely be mad if I d-d-d-did something unbefitting.
no subject
[That is some serious stuttering that would give Bracken a run for his money.]
"All, all right! We can try one of the catholic places. Shouldn't be too bad; Chesterton belonged to your group, didn't he? Suppose I owe a lot to them. I can't say I'm well-versed in their rites, though their Latin is lovely.
In fact I might know of a Catholic. A lax one, but he means well. One Father Abel. Do you know him?"
no subject
He really didn't know what to make of most of this, but then a name was spoken.]
F-father!? F-Father Abel N-Nightroad?
[He was so happy to hear that name, happier than any other time.]
no subject
[Oh good he might get out of embarrassing himself in a church whose rituals he was still not the clearest on]
Ah, you know of him? That's one of the quirks of this world; those who knew each other from the beginning often come close together.
no subject
no subject
Yes! I believe that's fair to say. What's your relation, or is that hush-hush too?
no subject
F-Father Nightroad is my S-Sisters subordinate.
no subject
Ah...hmm. I'm afraid I don't follow. Would that make your sister a bishop, then? I thought women were not permitted to have authority over men, as per Paul.
no subject
[Surely if it hadn't been Caterina would have been Pope instead of him. He knew that very well.]
no subject
Huh! Your Church is very different from how I'd remember. Suppose Eve didn't fall so far, eh? In that case, I'll get Abel. Doubtless he'd ease you into things better than I could. Still, let me know if you want to go on any outings. I can show you my pokemon and take walks.
no subject
[Which is understandable since Alessandro's version of the Church is from 900 years in the future after armageddon caused by space vampires.]
no subject
[OOC: handwaving Ted getting Abel/finding that he got there already. Miracles /do/ happen!]
Oh, it's nothing unusual. The same words and even institutions always seem to have little quirks, here and there. Still, I wonder--theologically speaking--how they resolved that long-standing issue. How I would've liked to have been an audience to that doctrinal debate.
