Monster or Man [Closed]
Who: Android 18 and Krillin
Where: Kame Dojo
Why: Let's just say someone has gone off the deep end due to her own mind and someone else's influence.
When: After this post
That whole post had only proven one thing to her, she couldn't trust anyone but herself in this damn place. That they all pretended everything was fine and okay, that you could make your own path and decisions despite what the past may say otherwise. She'd thought that at one point, had tried to do such a thing and all it had done was alienate her to others that were supposed to be friendly to her. It wasn't worth the effort of continuing in such a path, to allow the nagging at the back of her mind and the yearning in her soul (if she still had one, she's wasn't entirely sure anymore) for destruction that was ingrained in her very being by being who she was.
Even as a human, so many years ago, she'd fought others for her own survival and due to the fun of it. But things had been a little different then, she'd had help in her endeavors and wasn't left to being unable to speak of things to other people. Without that outlet she really was truly alone, even her own husband didn't seem to understand what had happened. That was probably the most frustrating part of it all, how... optimistic he was about everything without having to experience the pain of such a thing.
Closing out the phone app she shoved it into the pocket of her vest, moving from the main part of the dojo to the door that separated it and their tiny apartment. One hand grabbing and opening the door to get him down here. It would be easier than destroying everything in there, after all. Would give her more room if she needed it.
"Krillin, come out here, would you?" She's keeping her voice even, the malice and unrest hidden beneath layers of lies and secrecy she'd learned long before now. He didn't need to know her emotions right now and luckily she could keep her tone and expression absolutely without emotion through that training.
Without another word she moved back to the center of the dojo, arms crossed over her chest as they normally would be. Blue eyes colder than they normally would be, something of a forgotten age, something not seen since she'd been activated, not seen after Cell had become an actual threat to all of them.
She could wait, certainly, but there was only so much patience that could keep her from problems for now. Only so much the darkness would allow her to wait peacefully.

"...What's wrong?"
no subject
"Nothing." She snaps almost immediately, though reining that temper back in to at least give him a way to explain a few things for her.
"Why did you want me to change? To be a normal human like you? We both know that I'm not and pretending otherwise is stupid and foolish. I thought you would have known better, but obviously I was wrong." Whatever has gotten into her has retreated back to old habits, voice filled with cold malice despite how she might be trying to do otherwise.
no subject
"What do you mean? I didn't want you to change. I wanted you to have a chance at happiness, at doing what you want, not some lunatic scientist. Everyone deserves that. As for your humanity, I would argue you're more human than a lot of people but does it really matter? My best friend is an alien monkey, we know a green space man, and Bulma's parents keep T-Rexes as pets."
He sighs, focusing himself so that he can use his speed at the drop of a hat. "It doesn't matter what you are. I care about who you are. And I love who you are."
no subject
"It absolutely matters! I just... you don't understand anything about who I am, despite what you're claiming. You don't know me, you don't know what I've been through, you don't know anything other than passively sitting around and acting as if you do!" Her arms fall to her sides, hands curling into fists.
"You don't. You don't. You took pity on me and used that as some basis to get your own wants and needs, not giving an actual shit as to what might be the real reason for everything. You're no better than he was! Just using me as if I'm just some momentary thing to use and forget about as soon as something new comes along."
no subject
"And I know we're more alike than you may think. It's not something I talk about much but... I was abandoned as a kid, just thrown away at the gates of a temple. And I was always the kid everyone picked on. It wasn't until I met Goku that I started giving a damn about anyone else. But Goku heard my story, and didn't pity me. He respected me and pushed me to be as good as I can be."
He shakes his head, clenching his eyes shut. "I know it's not anything close to what you had to go through and I'm not trying to say it is. But, I don't pity you. I respect you. You've gone through things no person should ever have to and have come out of it better. And that goes for 17 too. I respect both of you so much, and do I need to remind you that I took an oath to stay by your side, through thick and thin, for better or worse? You are not just some momentary thing. You're my wife."
no subject
"No, no we aren't alike and it's insulting that you'd do such a thing!" Oh boy, here we go again. "I don't give a damn about Goku and I certainly don't give a damn about you trying to pull the pity card here on me, either. It's disgusting."
She growls softly to herself, quite glad that she doesn't have any detectable Ki right now as she's sure it'd be spiking at the moment if she were anywhere near human. "Respect," she spits the word out as if it's something poisonous. "Married me to tie me down, to make sure I wouldn't leave, that I'd hold some sort of honor to a social construct like that."
Her eyes narrow at him, giving him but a moment before she decides enough is enough. Taking advantage of the moment that she assumes is to her advantage she rushes forward, seeming to go for a straight punch but at the last moment shifting it into a kick for whatever she can get at. There's no silence in her movements, each attempted blow there being accompanied by a frustrated noise that could only be described as animalistic and pissed.
She's not pulling her punches, either.
no subject
"I don't know what happened... but this isn't like you. Beat on me all you want, but I'm not going to just stop caring about you. I want to help but I can't if you don't tell me what's going on. Please, just tell me what's bothering you."
no subject
"You don't know me. This is what I am and I'll give you two seconds to flee before I make you know what a terrible mistake it is to fight me. Or did you forget what I did to your friends so many years ago?" Her tone holds coldness within it, seeming dead serious on her threat. But there's also very much a sick teasing in it, as if she's goading him into attacking her.
Your move, Krillin.

Slowly she leans down to his ear, making sure her voice is little more than a deadly whisper. "You're a fool for that. Who says that that wasn't all just a ruse? I'm very good at lying when I want to. But you say you won't give up on me? Is that your heart or your dick talking?"
Uh, Krillin, you might want to get out of her grip there as there's a knee gunning straight for your groin.
no subject
He sees the knee, and makes no attempt to move, taking the blow full on, gritting his teeth against the pain. Lesser men would've passed out but Krillin maintains his stance as best he can while pinned.
Thank god for balls of steel, huh?no subject
Without another word, she's adding more force at his shoulder, intent on breaking the bone in what she hopes is an excruciatingly long period of time before the bone actually snaps. Maybe this will work, she's not even entirely sure anymore. But she'll leave a mark, that much is absolutely certain.
Her other hand moves from the other shoulder to his throat, fingers slowly digging into flesh but not enough to actually cut off any breathing.
"I want you to leave me alone and don't come after me, understand?" The words are hollow, devoid of any malice or warmth, for that matter.
no subject
"Not going to happen. If you hadn't noticed, I'm the team cheerleader. I don't abandon my friends when some cosmic horror shows up, and I damn well am not going to abandon my wife."
He takes a moment to fidget, bracing one foot on the wall behind him before pressing his neck harder against 18's hand.
"If this is really who you are, if all this meant nothing to you, just kill me and get it over with. That's the only way you're going to get rid of me. And even then I have a habit of being persistent."
no subject
As for his pushing himself further against her hand, she tightens it for just a moment before completely removing herself from him and backing off a couple of inches.
"Next time I will kill you." She hisses, but for now she's not sure what to make of this other than she needs to leave now. So unless he's willing to physically stop her, she's going to take off from there and into the sky immediately one she's outside properly.
At least she has some familiar ground to rest on and she's hoping they don't remember that it exists.
