[It had been a rough couple weeks since Rose had arrived in Genessia, but she had taken time to let her worries of home simmer, collecting information as best she could without really intruding on anyone's lives here. However, what she saw was... rather fascinating. Never before had she seen a group of such disparate people, aliens, and other beings living in such harmony before. For once, she didn't feel like such an outsider, and she wanted to have some greater measure of interaction than she had taken in her own world. As such, she had found a nice untouched grassy area near The Bay and had worked her magic to grow some rather large watermelons. It was still summer and summer just didn't seem like summer without watermelons.]

Hello, some of you already know me, but my name is Rose Quartz. I just wanted to say thank you to those that helped put my worries to rest when I found myself here, and while they haven't vanished, they are much more manageable. As a way of saying thank you, I've grown some watermelons.

In my world, it's something of a tradition to share watermelons among friends and family during the summer, and I wanted to extend an invitation to anyone who wished to do so here.

[She turned the camera around to show the slightly above average size watermelons, growing amid a patch of what seem to be roses with small crystalline shapes at their centers.]

I'm near the area where I woke up, and anyone that wants a watermelon is more than welcome to come get one.

Oh? I've never met a human or anyone that wasn't a gem that could use magic. I'd very much like to meet him!

[Airy suddenly looks nervous.]

It's my roommate, his name is Nathan. He might be around here somewhere. [She hopes its okay that she's saying this.] I've meet a few people who can use magic who are human.

[Airy's own magic is to weird to explain.]

That's fascinating! I always knew humans had potential, but I never imagined they would have that much potential.

Well we are from a different place.

[It's possible that where people were from in her world didn't have magic.]

So maybe... that's why?

[She nods a bit.]

Yes, and that concept alone is jarring to me. I'm more than familiar with traveling to different worlds but... different dimensions is new territory for me.

Yeah me too.

[She wonders if it's new to most people but she hasn't had the chance to ask.]

So... what's a gem? Steven tried to explain it but I don't understand.

[Pardon her for a moment, she's just going to go wide-eyed for a bit, almost like she's seen a ghost.]

...Steven? I... I don't mean to dodge your question but did he say what his last name is?

[There should only be one Steven who knows what Gems are... but she dares not get her hopes up just yet.]

I don't remember.

[It's been a little while back.]

He said he knew gems though. He was looking for them... um... Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst I think.

[That settles it. Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst aren't the most outgoing, and Greg wasn't the type to bring people by the temple so... that only leaves one possibility in her mind.]

Is he okay?

Yeah, he was really excited when I made dog-copter.

[The last word is spoken with uncertainty, she's pretty sure that's what it had been called.]

Do you know him? He's here. [She thinks he's still here.] I think.

[She drops to her knees as seemingly the weight of the world slides off her shoulders, tears starting to stream down her face.]

He's... my son. I've never been able to meet him though. In order to bring him into the world, I had to give up my physical form. I don't understand how this is possible, but... just knowing he's okay means everything.

[Airy looks very worried.]

Yes of course, are you okay? I'm sorry. I mean this place pulls people from different timelines sometimes.

[Rose wipes her cheeks, chuckling softly.]

Yes, I'm fine. Just knowing that he's alright means the world. I don't understand how it's possible but... here we are.

Yeah. [She feels awkward.] Why not go and see him? I'm sure he'd really want to talk to you.

[Airy can't talk to her parents anymore and she'd given anything to have that chance again. Even for a few seconds, to just say what she never got the chance to tell them.]

I... don't know.

[She sighs.]

We've... never met, and I'm not sure if I would live up to his expectations... it's... complicated.

You're like his mom right?

[Airy exhales a slow breath and closes her eyes.]

I'm saying this as a daughter but no mater what he's expecting, it's better to give him the chance to meet you and hear how much you love and care about him. The greatest thing that anyone can give their child is love. That's the only expectation that will matter.

Trust me.

It's... more complicated than that. I'm his mother, but also him.

[She still seems unsure.]

[She offers her another smile.]
