[Text; Locked to Jaune's friends]
I think Pyrrha Nikos is gone.
[People are bound to find out on their own if they haven't already, but it needs to be said.]
[Action | Nova City]
[It's possible to run into Jaune in Nova City. He's not paying attention to his surroundings, and he might not notice someone he recognizes at first. And if he doesn't recognize them, then there's a disheveled teenager who looks like he hasn't shaved, much less changed his outfit in a week wandering around.]
[ooc: if your character is on good terms with Jaune, he would have included them in the text. if you need me to clarify it further, feel free to pm me!]

Action!
I don't know.
[Now that he's in here braving the crowds, even with support, feels impossible. He looks up at her from the floor.]
Could you--
[He nods at the inside of the dressing room and the door. He feels bad for changing his mind so much but it might be easier if Airy isn't outside the door where she can walk away and leave him in there alone whenever she wants.]
Action!
[Airy steps inside and closes the door behind her. She doesn't mind him changing his mind. She wants Jaune to feel comfortable and sometimes that means trying to do something and realizing it might not work. She drops down to his side, her legs laying out in front of her while her back presses lightly against the dressing room wall.]
This okay?
[She hopes that it is.]
Action!
[Some of the tension ebbs away from his ribcage. When he's not alone in a small space and can focus on just one person instead of many different ones, he finds his surroundings become a bit more tangible. He can't turn off the hyperawareness of the noises outside the door, but he can focus on trying to breathe so that his vision stops clouding at the edges. He sits there for a few minutes, with Airy but closed off, focused on trying not to break down right then and there.
He's not alone. Airy is with him, yet he still feels isolated. He did it to himself.]
Action!
Do you want me to fill the silence or do you like it better like this?
[She doesn't know what she'd say but if he wants to hear something she can probably come up with something. She'd tell him her bunny story but then she doesn't know that he already might have heard about that.]
I know fiction and non-fiction.
[It's not important to add but Airy is the queen of unnecessary details when she is unsure of what to do.]
Action!
I kind of like fiction.
[Stories don't have much of a meaning and aren't attainable, regardless of what Jefferson says. But they're less cruel than the real world.]
Action!
Then how about I give you a sneak peek to the next story in the Bunny Chronicles. [Sea bunnies have been her first but she's been thinking of others since then.] Once upon a time there was a very large valley. In this valley there were a bunch of houses made out of lint and in them lived the lint bunnies. Each one had a different smell like Bounty Soft or Summer Breeze and that's how they knew where they lived. It was a very happy place and all the bunnies played together. To the south of the town there was a very dense and very dark forest. It was scary so the other bunnies didn't go there.
Well one day a little bunny showed up. No one knew where it came from because he smelled differently. The little bunny missed his home so they looked and looked and looked for his family. They couldn't find his smell in any of the lint houses but it was a bright and happy smell. After they ruled everything else out they decided to go through the forest. If the little bunny was lost then maybe he came through there.
Three of them went into the forest and it was very scary but they kept going. They stayed close together and were so brave. Eventually they found the edge of the forest. Sunlight spilled through and the three bunnies quickly hopped their way to the edge. When their eyes adjust they find a large field of flowers that smell just like the little bunny. Other bunnies are jumping and playing, chasing butterflies and playing hide and seek. The little bunny joined his family again.
The two lint bunnies returned to their homes and found that the different smells separated them. They hadn't had anything to compare it to before but more and more they missed that field of flowers. Eventually they convinced everyone to follow them through the forest. It was scary but when they came out on the other side they saw the amazing sight just like the other two bunnies had.
In the end they found something new and they all lived as a happy family.
Action!
Giving her hand a light, careful squeeze at the end of her story, Jaune makes eye contact with her, his eyes a little glassed over as if he's trying not to cry.]
I liked it. It's a really good story. [He feels a little better. He's still sad, and somehow feeling a storm of raw emotions and empty all at once. But her story, and just being there resonated within him.]
Action!
I'm glad you liked it. Ah, [She bites her lower lip.] I don't think that many people like my bunny stories but if you do... then I'll keep coming up with new ones.
[She smiles at him.]
I'll make sure you're the first to hear them from now on... if you want. [Her finger lightly rubs against the back of his hand again.] How are you feeling?
Action!
They don't matter. They probably think those stories about sharks in storms are good. You can't throw a chainsaw at a storm and have it work. If you like writing them, you should keep writing.
Yeah, Airy, I'd like that. [He pauses, looking a little lost before answering.] Like I can go out there. Maybe. If you want. You helped. Being around you just helps. I...you're right. I don't really want to be alone.
Action!
Here. [He'll probably notice that it smells like vanilla.] I do like it. I'm really happy that you like it.
[It honestly matters more that someone enjoys her stories. That the might give people a reason to smile and feel better.] It's up to you. I'm fine here but I'm fine going somewhere else. We can always grab a movie, popcorn and curl up and try and relax but it's also okay to feel bad. I'm not going anywhere okay?
[She squeezes his hand hoping that it brings him more comfort to know that she isn't going anywhere.]
Action!
[He accepts the handkerchief gratefully. It has a pleasant scent.] I'll listen to your stories if you keep writing them.
I don't know. [His eyes mist up again at her words, his hold on her hand tightening.] Can you decide? I don't...know where I'd want to go from here.
Action!
How about a sleep over? [Her finger lightly glides over that back of his hand in what she hopes is a comforting way.] I don't know if it will help but my mom used to build pillow forts around me when I was sad. They weren't always very good but she told me that while I'm inside nothing can hurt me.
It always made me feel really safe. [She still does it from time to time.] We can pick up some snacks and a movie for noise and then curl up in a fort. Does that sound okay? [That way he doesn't have to smile if he doesn't feel like it. Airy feels as if doing something in public might simply be more stressful plus she has a few stuffed animals that would happily cuddle with Jaune to make him feel better.]
Action!
Jaune was stupid. He won't allow himself to be too hopeful again, but hiding in a pillow fort with Airy until something else happens sounds like a good option. He's always liked being around Airy since they met. Even though she's already done too much for him, more than he's mentioned aloud, he still chooses to rely on her.]
Action!
They aren't that far from Airy's apartment so without a word, and while keeping Jaune close, Airy begins to direct them. She glances over at Jaune as they walk though she tries to do so discreetly.
Once they reach her apartment she fumbles with the key before slipping it into the lock. It's a nice place, on the ground floor, and with plenty of room in the main living space. Once inside Airy locks the door and sets to work.] Let me know if you want anything to drink or eat okay? I have a lot of food here and I can cook us something.
[As she talks she drags the coffee table to the side and pulls the cushions off the couch. She begins by creating a frame first, then filling the ground with quilts, stuffed animals and pillows from her bedroom. She then takes the sheet off her bed and drapes it over the whole mess. With that done she slips a bag of popcorn into the microwave, grabs a collection of juice boxes from the fridge and turns on the TV.]
There.
[She turns towards Jaune was the smell of butter fills the small apartment.]
Now we just crawl inside. What do you want to watch? Something happy, cute, funny... [They can also watch something sad if Jaune prefers that but Airy isn't sure that it will help very much.]
