[It's possible to run into Jaune in Nova City. He's not paying attention to his surroundings, and he might not notice someone he recognizes at first. And if he doesn't recognize them, then there's a disheveled teenager who looks like he hasn't shaved, much less changed his outfit in a week wandering around.]

It's not awkward. I almost never go there. [He's such a liar he goes there almost every night. Yang's probably seen him.]

[An Arc always keeps their word. Getting smashed is probably easier to convince himself into than some things right now. Jaune shows up at After Life Club, really owning the dead inside look as he heads for the bar.]

[Yang at least has the benefit of being at work when Jaune gets there, the blonde though not in her usual spot as a bouncer, here to enjoy the variety of drinks as she waves her fellow blonde over.]

[Jaune nods in response to Yang and sits next to her. Neither of them probably feel like talking much.]

[He doesn't hesitate in downing the shot, not caring what it tastes like. It burns down his throat so it does what it needs to. But he trusts Yang to know her drinks; he wouldn't have been concerned even if he had been less distracted. That, and After Life had pretty good drinks in general.]

Sure. We'll probably end up doing this more often anyway. [He shrugs, aware she's joking, but he doesn't feel capable of doing the same. Part of him is glad she is trying to cope, but mostly he just feels numb. He's used to not feeling in control; he just doesn't see the point in trying anymore.]
