I think Pyrrha Nikos is gone.

[People are bound to find out on their own if they haven't already, but it needs to be said.]

[It's possible to run into Jaune in Nova City. He's not paying attention to his surroundings, and he might not notice someone he recognizes at first. And if he doesn't recognize them, then there's a disheveled teenager who looks like he hasn't shaved, much less changed his outfit in a week wandering around.]

[ooc: if your character is on good terms with Jaune, he would have included them in the text. if you need me to clarify it further, feel free to pm me!]

I stepped out for some air. Normally I'd bother my friend but she.. [Is hone. And David hasn't actually slept at their shared home since.] So I came here to grab some coffee and walk around.

...Yeah. [David never finished his sentence. Maybe it's some kind of sore spot for him. He won't bring it up unless he chooses to though.] It's not like you don't have options.

[He hasn't spoken to David much, but he was someone he respected and looked up to in the past. He's caught off guard by the fact that he chose to address him again in person. He might need a cup of coffee if he's going to have a conversation. Talking is more difficult now.]

But I'm curious. How are you doing? [Because like he said, he looks rough. He can only imagine why that is. And David has time to chat, unless Jaune has better things to do.

I-- [His vocal chords start to freeze up, making it more difficult to speak. He stares at David, looking lost, before his expression shuts down into something more apathetic. He forces himself to shrug.]

I don't know.

When your answer to "How are you doing?" is "I don't know" it's pretty obvious the answer is "Not well at all". [At least that's what he inferred.]

Want to get some coffee?

I'm still breathing.

[He hugs his arm and doesn't say anything for a moment, but he's actually thinking about it.] Will it be crowded?

That's something to be happy about. [There were people that didn't have that luxury. At least people that weren't in this world.]

Depends on where we go. There are some small coffee shops here that don't see the mid-day rush.

[He just shrugs. A lot of people probably think he should be happy that at least he's alive. At least there's a chance. He's not so sure if he agrees. It's not rational and there are other people who arguably have it just as bad or worse, but he's not feeling very rational right now.]

I'll probably get us lost, and you sound like you know what you're talking about. You can lead the way.

Alright. [He snaps his finger and suddenly the both of them are standing outside of an out of the way coffee shop. There is soft music playing inside and there isn't much chatter.]

And here we are.

[Jaune doesn't react at first. He's frozen, his eyes wide with a mix of awe and incredulity. His voice is soft when he finally does speak, and he takes a few steps back.]

Did you just--

Did we teleport here?

Yeah. I thought it would be faster than walking. [well, really, it is faster than mostly all other forms of travel, so.]

Maybe I should..have warned you that I was going to do that.

How did you do that? Is that some kind of special ability?

[since not everyone calls their abilities semblances. his reaction is more subdued than usual, but he still sounds impressed. teleporting would have been so cool, so he could see why he uses it without a second thought.]

Do you have to snap or is that just something you do because you think it looks cool?

I've never studied it, though I know different peoples teleportation abilities work differently. But yes, it's a power. And I don't have to snap, but it's a force of habit. I do it when I'm with others so they realize its happening.

I think they have to know you can teleport in order to realize it. I guess that's how you got to Nova City so fast.

[he glances at the coffee shop, but he isn't going inside first. he still feels some trepidation about it.]

Yeah. I can hope to what ever Archway a want, but I do still have to pass through them. [It'd be easier to teleport from city to city without having to do that, but still.

He goes over to the door and opens it up and heads in. There are only a handful of people inside.]

[this place is so powerful that even david can't teleport out. jaune's not upset so much as resigned. he stares inside as if it's unfamiliar to him, inhaling a deep breath and rushing in after him, possibly a little too fast.]

Do you have any favorite places? I'm guessing you like coffee.

Sometimes it depends on the mood that I am. I go here on days that I like to relax. [And sometimes he goes to the busier places if he's in the mood to be surrounded by that element.]

You can go anywhere. Sounds convenient. [He's trying to ignore the other people and acclimate to his surroundings. It's kind of warm and peaceful once he gets used to it.]

It can be. [It's definitely one of the more useful powers a person can have.]

What kind of coffee do you want?

[He narrows his eyes and thinks about it. What are those really complicated orders people like Weiss have? It seems like too much work. He shrugs and goes with what he really wants.]

Just a coffee with five sugars and one cream. And maybe some vanilla.
