🌙 SECOND MOON | [VIDEO/ACTION]
[All this talk about the Everglades as of late had spurned the fox's interest in this gloomy region.
He arrived here by foot after sundown and found himself already longing for the gentle forests of Fayren. The Everglades is a land cursed by darkness and forged by magic. The oppressive fog that chokes the region is almost too thick for even his eyes to see. It's a sinister place that looks only vaguely similar to that of fairer Attleton but not by much. The foulness of this city honestly doesn't bode well for anything remotely human.
Tsukuyomi honestly looks out of place as he meanders along the street immaculate in white with his black sword at hand. He had no other reason to come here other than to ease his nagging curiosity. He caught a glimpse of people here and there but most where quiet hesitant to converse with an outsider. The ominous flickering of the nearby street lamps left little to be desired by anyone visiting this ghostly town.
Finally reaching a landmark in the form of a grand manor obstructed with ivy, the fox deity pauses as he pulls out his phone to record his adventure thus far.]
So this is the Everglades?
[He questions as he glances down at the cracked screen of his phone. In the upper corner of the screen there's easy to see that glass there is chipped thanks to Tsukuyomi's carelessness.]
Not much to look at in the terms of beauty but certainly a rather interesting abode. Quite humble in a sense but still quite sinist---
[The loud cawing of a crow nearby caused him to jump a little. It seems that even a former deity like him can get a tad anxious.]
H-Hold your tongues. None of you witnessed that.

[He isn't really out to harass the kitsune, he was literally out looking for dinner.
Why shoot dinner when he could buy it?
He's cheap]
Yippin' at birds like an angry little dog won't help ye any either, may as well go back inside where ye belong.
[There was something... not... right about the somber dressed man. Like some shadow desperately clinging to him, some massive tick in a sense.
An alien, abrasive, unearthly presence]
Might get eaten by a wolf.
no subject
The only one who'll be eaten here shall be you if you continue to pester me.
[Tsukuyomi threatens with a slight growl. Those tall white ears are flat against his head now despite his brave facade.]
no subject
Ye threatenin' me, beastie? I'd not suggest it, I'm not in a mood to entertain folks right now.
If I'm pesterin' ye, tuck yer tail further and leave. Tis a whole forest open to ye.
no subject
[He huffs. Out of all the monsters to come across, did he have to deal with this troll here? This midget of a man is shorter than even him and yet has the nerve to be this surly. It's downright laughable.]
Why are you even here in the first place?
no subject
[A brow arches... and he points his shotgun.
And pulls the trigger.
... And a fat raven falls dead in a heap of blood and feathers not too far from the fox]
Ravens be a bit like black chickens. Boil 'em in a stew and ye can be rid of the gamey flavor too, tis a lot cheaper than buyin' the swill they have in town.
no subject
[That wasn't nice, priest! The shotgun has a nasty boom to it, especially up close like that. Tsukuyomi's ears are ringing thanks to that idiot's lack of finesse.]
H-How dare you! You were aiming at me?!
[Just when he was about to make good on his previous promise to bite this bastard's head clean off, Cassian explains himself and Tsukuyomi cannot help but feel as if the priest tossed an egg at his face.]
You're planning on eating this trash? [He turns his nose up at this proposition.] I much rather raid a chicken coop.
[That was said on accident.]
no subject
Ye be a pest and a beastie, but I ain't here to hurt ye. Listenin' to ye screech like a girl though, tis a great joke.
[He looks like he's already got a few in there, and the smile just gets sharper]
Well you're in luck, tis a few in town, beastie. Since ye be such an important little beastie yourself, I'm sure breakin' in will be easy for ye.
no subject
[He grumbles under his breath. Tsukuyomi is going to have a healthy dislike for all humans soon enough. His journeys through this realm haven't been pleasant at all.]
Stop calling me 'beastie', you short little bastard of a man!
[How disgusting! That fool is actually plotting on eating those dead crows? Tsukuyomi is frowning in prime disapproval.]
At least have the decency to purchase a proper meal! You'll end up like the monsters here if you eat such foul meat.
no subject
[No wonder his traveling partner at home had so much fun teasing people, this was hilarious]
Ye haven't given me a name, so beastie you'll be.
I've eaten worse.
[That... presence about him seemed to make that statement perhaps a touch more sinister than it was meant to be]
no subject
I shall give you my name if you solmenly swear to never use that accursed nickname again!
[He hisses before piping down a bit once he felt that ominous aura washes over him.]
...I am Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto but I've been donning an alias as of late.
no subject
[He means it too. Well... at least in the truthful sense.]
Tis a bit long to use in an ordinary sentence, ye got an acceptable nickname?
no subject
Please die. PLEASE!The kitsune let's out a tortured sigh. He misses the day when the mortals once revered him.]...Tsukihito Yukimura. [A pause] You may refer to me as 'Yukimura'.
no subject
[Yuki if he gets drunk]
What are ye doin' stompin' around the woods if ye don't like it out here? Tisn't a reason to be out if ye hate it.
no subject
[That is until he officially got scared out of his wits and is now regretting ever arriving here at all.
Don't mind the fox when he jerks back a little. He thought he heard something nearby and it spooked him.]
H-Have you seen the beasts here...?
no subject
Doin' a great job what of clearin' these woods up, seems so much safer now.
[He starts to move, taking that nice safety making shotgun with him. Better keep up]
Seen the beasts? I stumbled across a few dead men, may have been a beast or two earlier.
no subject
[He's keeping up! Definitely! Yuki here doesn't want to be here all alone.]
Dead men? You mean there's undead here as well?
[Tsukuyomi definitely doesn't like the sound of that at all. That's why his tail is wrapped so tightly around him.]
The dead should never walk.
no subject
For one a dead man is a lot less annoyin'. Just lays there, attracts flies and then pops like a ripe grape.
Undead though, tad more difficult to be around. Very good what at ruinin' parties.
Those are here too, but I definitely only saw a few corpses. No reason to be worried.
no subject
[The fox silently prays that they neither run into undead or beasts here in this godforsaken hell. Tsukuyomi can fight well enough but his powers aren't what they used to be and he has too much pride this man to help him.
Yeah, too much pride. If that is indeed true, then how come he's following this priest around like a hapless foxling?]
no subject
Vampires and zombies like fresh flesh.
[WHICH YOU ARE. He doesn't seem too bothered by that though]
Trust me.
Ain't no beasts gonna be attracted by the dead men.
no subject
O-Of course! I was merely testing you. It seems you are indeed truly knowledgeable about such beasts.
I suppose I ought to show some respect.
no subject
Aye, ye should, but it doesn't seem to have stopped ye so far.
[There's a loud rustling not too far away, coming from a densely packed collection of shrubs and small trees.
Cassian just barely tilts his head towards it, he's still eying up a raven.]
Ever have raven before?
no subject
Don't you hear that!?
[Sorry, Cassian, but the fox isn't humoring your culinary pursuits right now. He's too busy trying to hide behind his fluffy white tail now.]
I-It's getting louder.
no subject
[That raven is looking pretty damn good though]
Ye got a sword, go hit the thing.
no subject
[The fox hisses at Cassian for that flippant response.]
You expect me to fight that thing--Eep!
[He cowers even further behind his tail once he hears the growling.]
T-That's a zombie...!
no subject
Now I know.
[Okay, that raven is just gonna have to wait. He's not in the mood to show off tonight with fancy gun play.
The little man pumps the action and stalks off towards the bush, just close enough so that the full blast of the buckshot will have its total effect.
Well I'm sure he's at least going to inquire what's in the-
BLAM
... Okay so maybe not]
