[... Well this isn't Cairo.
No they were at least five thousand percent sure they were going to Cairo, that's what the bus driver said, and bus drivers never ever lie, right? That's like... against the law for humans, isn't it? Twenty to life for being a lying bus driver?
They're looking about their little awakening area blankly, with their map, sitting docilely and deeply confused where they are.
Also... Electronic device near them. Their kingdom for Hiro to be here, they'd know what to do with this stupid thing...
Thank goodness they know the alphabet though]
Hello!
I am very lost.
Very sorry.
I am looking for Cairo. I do not think it has moved as of late, and should still be firmly attached to Africa.
If anyone has seen where Cairo has been placed, please contact me and direct me to it.
It is not dire. I can wait.
Where is the closest city, in the mean time? It would be nice, perhaps, to not be
[They glance around the cave]
here.
It is pretty. But I do not think I should live in it.

The cave you are in is in the middle of the city of Genessia. I take it you have just arrived here?
Re: [Text]
Yes. I am new. I did not mean to be new, however. You see, I was going to Cairo, my presence was required there.
I don't know how this happened. I am very sorry.
Re: [Text]
[ How to put this so he hopefully doesn't panic... ]
There is a machine in the cave you are in that explains better what this place is than I ever could. I am afraid the most simple way for me to put it is that you will not be able to return home or go to this Cairo place at this time.
Re: [Text]
[... Two seconds later]
Why?
I am not good with many machines. I do not know them well, my friend can speak with them better.
I may make it angry.
Re: [Text]
You will not anger the machine by activating it, I promise you that.
As for why, it is an effect of this place. It seems to take many from different worlds, though for what reason I do not know. What we do here and how much time we spend here seems to have no bearing on our homes, so you can take comfort in that. You will not miss anything simply by being here.
Re: [Text]
[If only you could but see them right now, staring warily at the machine in question like it's plotting their demise]
But I will miss home.
[Text]
The best I can suggest is that you find work and a place to stay. If you are unused to machines, might I suggest Fayren? It is the city to the south, with no electricity or machinery to speak of. It was the most familiar to me when I first arrived.
Re: [Text]
[Fayren, is it? Well they don't know where that is, but by the sounds of it, it would make more sense than here. They start to locate the exit to the cave, easily maneuvering inside of it while texting]
Fayren. A very pretty name. In the south, then? I will find it.
[Eventually]
What does it look like there?

Hello; welcome to Genessia! The closest city is Genessia City, which you're already in. Will you tell me your name? I'm Ted.

I do not have a name.
[A beat]
None that are mine. Others give me names.

Heh, how good of them. What were they? Which was given most recently? What did they mean?
Re: text
I have taken a liking to Amalu. It sounds very musical. It means darkness, as I recall. Shadow.

Well, you seem to be making out all right. Need or want anything, to do or see or know?

[Because it sounds like one.]
I don't think you can go anywhere, though.

I am stuck in a cave?
Text;
There isn't a Cairo here but there is Paris, New York and a few other places. Everything here is brought here in a ... weird way? I don't really understand it honestly. You can have it appear but it won't be your Cairo, just a copy.
Re: Text;
Where is here? If there is no Cairo? How do you copy a city?
Text;
Re: Text;
Very strange, to come without intending it.
It will be okay. I will learn.
I have never seen New York. Perhaps I should see it now?

[The priest came on quite late, and most likely the hooded being with many names must has met other people on the network already.]
Cairo? Cairo...Africa...[Abel remembered this country before. When for him the city exists a long, long time ago, in his world's past.] Are you looking for Egypt?
