[Suigintou is sitting at a desk. The little silver haired doll piled up a few cushions on the chair so she’d be at the right height to write, or rather… to draw. Her brows are furrowed and she’s chewing on her lower lip as she concentrates on her ‘art’: a blond girl in a red Victorian dress with ruffles and a matching bonnet. When she’s done, she leans back and casts her work a satisfied look. Then she takes a black marker and starts adding ridiculous moustaches to the girl. She giggles.]

That’s more like it. Now it really does look like you, Shinku!

[Suigintou sets the sharpie down and sighs.]

Now that’s official. I’ve reached the height of boredom.

…I wonder what my Medium and his ‘girlfriend’ are up to.

[Zeref and Mavis, if you hear this, you'd better run and hide. ...Anyone else should too, for that matter. A bored doll is a dangerous thing.]

Sometimes, your hatred for your younger sister comes off as petty.

{ Zeref's voice is heard before his face appears on the amulet. Not much can be seen around him; just a few dead, leafless trees in the immediate background.

It feels odd having someone refer to Mavis as his "girlfriend" in the present tense, and not having done so ironically. The last person who did that in this world was Kefka. And thankfully, he's gone. }

If you must know, I've been teaching her to control... { How does he phrase this? } To control an 'ability' that the two of us have in common. If you truly wanted to come along, you could have asked, though I imagine you would have gotten bored very quickly.

Out of the little amount of respect he's managed to get from her, she switches to private.] Yeah, because you're really one to talk and to judge. Your brotherly love comes off as so much more honorable. ...And it's hatred for your younger sisters, plural. [Although it's true that Shinku ranks up pretty high on the list. Right there with Kirakishou.]

You're probably right about that. But I might still prefer it to this cabin fever I'm starting to get. How's the training going, then?

I raised my younger brother from the dead, Suigintou. I don't hate him, no matter what he may think.

{ He just wants his brother to hate him, enough to want to end his life. Pun completely intended. }

Controlling it requires a completely different mindset than what she's used to having, but she's getting the hang of it.

You raised him from the death, indeed. But in the end, the way I see it, you two are not meant to co-exist. Sooner or later one will win. Just like me and my sisters. I'm just more honest about it.

[She says that flatly. It can sound cruel but Suigintou has learnt the hard way that things you care about always end up being taken away from you. And that there can only be one Alice.]

Good for her. She seems to be an okay girl, if not for the fact that she's always so cheerful. And her magic is surprisingly strong.

{ Of course, if Natsu actually did kill him, he, himself would die because Zeref's magic can't flow into E.N.D.'s book if he's dead. Not that it would matter, here; death isn't permanent. }

Mavis is Fairy Tail's First Master. Her guild is the family she never had. Telling her that if she wants to protect their lives, then she must stop caring about their lives has not been easy. { Zeref sighs. Mavis had a good heart, no pun intended this time. It's what made him fall in love with her. } And yet... she's incredibly intelligent. She is learning in months what took me years to learn. To be perfectly honest, I'm proud of her.

Following your logic, I take it the person who put that horrendous blue make-up on your eyes while you were asleep is not very fond of you either, hmm?
