If it's not noticeable, I'm new here. I get the gist of what's going on for the most part. I'd like to get my priorities straight and get a job as soon as possible.

[Sorry, it took Jade a while to contact her via phone. He is quite groggy and tired from his mission of curing the town of Attleton, as he has been there for days, and just yesterday he went job hunting because he's running out of money to pay for the rent...and found a job, so he and Luke are able to survive for the next few months for now.

Yup, he just woke up in his room at the inn. His hair is a mess.]

HmmMmn? Anise? Is that you? It's good to see you again. Have you just arrived?

You don't need to find a job right away. You have a box with you that gives you enough money for the first month. Also, there is a pendant in the box, you need to keep that to travel through the gates of each city.

Just...hang on. Did you just left the bay? More likely you're in Genessia City.

There's a job post in Genessia, where you can look for all kinds of jobs.

On the other hand, I could use an assistant. I sell charms out here in Everglade.

[The intense seething hatred can be felt though the phone. The last person Arietta wanted to see and here she was.

[His question is teasing as she looks quite young, but he's used to guide and orient arrivals and newbies just like the others.]

It depends on what you want to do for work. I mean some people prefer to do work they are use to back home, or some like to try something new.

So what about you?

Well...I'm good about remembering stuff and can potentially push sales really well...

[Anise looks like she's hesitating on answering his last question.]

So the pendant. Don't loose that. You need that as a key to pass from city to city, as they are gates to pass through.

There are five cities in this world: Genessia, Fayren, Attleton, Everglade, and Nova City.

Yes, you have enough money to last you a month. I believe you can stay at the Genessia Commonspace for one month for free. It's clean, but awfully small and cramp, but then again when I was there, I'm very tall at 6'2 feet.

[Anise wrinkled her noise as she looked slightly confused.]

Not to sound misinformed because I obviously know what a month is...but what's an August? It was the 48th of Lorelei-Decan before I found myself here...

[She was quick to change the subject though.]

But fine, I'll hold off finding work today and make sure to keep my pendent safe...

[She nods her head in understanding as he listed off the cities]

[ The puppeteer looked thoughtful for a moment before nodding her head to herself.]

I'm okay with small spaces.

[Especially after all of her travels and everyone in their group piling into spaces their gald would buy.]

That's the name of the month. They run a different calendar system here, which I have to show you later.

[Oh joy. Jade enjoys teaching, he really does.]

Luke is trapped here as well. We both live in Fayren for a month since more magically inclined people like us has an advantage there.

The other cities like Everglade has vampires and werewolves that roam at night. Nova City is dominated by a lot of fontech, but the technology there isn't run by fonons. Attleton and Genessia are pretty average cities.

A suggestion for a new business opportunity;

[Jade figured out it's someone from his homeworld, cause the anon knows Anise, and he definitely knows not a single one of his friends has such a trash-minded mouth.

And he ruled out Arietta because she arrived here weeks earlier and he personally made a truce with her for their peace, so he figured out Arietta's speech patterns.]

Never thought that the bay can bring in such flotsam and jetsam these days! They're not picky with new arrivals nor selective. It's nice how the city is non-judgemental!

[What? No "Gloomietta?" No accusations of causing problems? It was most curious, and it caused her to soften up significantly. She was so expecting a fight over the phone that this reaction caused her to re-think her words.

Me? I don't have any dreams left actually. They were crushed, wilted like a sensitive little flower dried out husk in the sun.

If you disliked dreams, well, welcome to a new reality. You're in Genessia, another different world. If you want to take this as an opportunity, this is perhaps second chance for you.

Or not. You can choose to be a homeless bum within a month. Anise up there has a point. You'll need money soon to make a new life for yourself.
