[ Konoka seemed slightly surprised. She did in fact have someone interested in working under her before, but for some reason or another they backed out. They were probably a little young. However, Anise seemed different. So she decided to be as real about it as possible, albeit still polite. ]

I run a shop called Mahora Fortune and Omyoudo. Due to the dangers of Everglade, people need protection from the spirits that wander the place at night, so I sell charms that ward off demons... and can do a lot of other magical spells too, so users have to use them responsibly. I have a lot of business with the natives, but I haven't been so lucky with visitors like us.

Yes, you have enough money to last you a month. I believe you can stay at the Genessia Commonspace for one month for free. It's clean, but awfully small and cramp, but then again when I was there, I'm very tall at 6'2 feet.
