Seventh Reel: That Reaper, Handling Her Business [Video] + [Action]
A: [Video]
[Grell is walking along the streets of Nova City while she's making the video post. Because why not? And guess who's abusing a face filter app that gives people flower crowns and such? In her opinion, everyone could use a flower crown. She should get Marco to make some for everyone.]
I was recently asked a very good question. There are some of us here that aren't new to world hopping. The question is: how do you feel about that? Barring irritation at not getting back to your own world.
[Sips her to-go cup of tea.]
To be honest, it's rather exciting. A long vacation from my original vocation, all the while gaining new skills. Free of charge at that! So I can't exactly complain.
B: [Action: Genessia Library]
[After the video, Grell will hole herself up in a booth in the coffee shop of the library for most of the day. Books surrounding her include books about:
Computer Science
Poetry
Trashy Romance Novels
Feel free to question whatever she's reading. Currently, she's engrossed in a book called "The Call of the Sea Maiden." By the cover, it's definitely one of the trashy romance novels she pulled from the shelf. Handwritten papers are strewn about the table, but there's a space for her tea to rest when she isn't drinking it]
C: [Action: Nova City at night]
[Having gone home and cleaned up, Grell makes her way down the street. She’s walking fast, as if she has somewhere to be, when she hears something that stops her in her tracks. The sound of pain, but not from a human. It was definitely an animal. Backtracking, Grell peers into an alley and spots a few men kicking an animal on the floor. Well, she’ll have none of that!
Before one of them could use the knife in their hand, she grabs their wrist and twists it in a way that will definitely leave it broken before grabbing their throat with the other hand, squeezing very tightly.]
I like hurting lowly animals, too~!
[Tosses the person she had in her grip against a wall, which cracks at the impact.]
But no one will save you!
[Will anyone stop her? Join her?]

Barring irritation? That's all I've really got for you. My world needs me, and I find being shuffled off into detour after detour just seems awfully convenient for the person I'm supposed to be stopping...
no subject
I'd consider that person you're trying to stop already...well, stopped.

If it's true, that certainly shines a different light on things.

With your newfound wisdom, what will you do?

sorry about all that bad formatting! orz

[It was sad how very true this was, he didn't mind it either.]
So I'm probably one of the few here who wouldn't find this type of thing to be annoying. More fascinating really.

[It must be some sort of phenomenon indicating the end times or something, if she isn't the only one affected. What else would it mean?]

[He paused holding up his fingers as he starts counting. It wasn't long until he was already at ten fingers and still going. He counts at least another five before he finally stops.]
I think around sixteen worlds. Though for one I was only there to get help, so I won't so much count that one, so fifteen.
[That is not counting the worlds really that he might have been too in between Tokyo and Infinity.]

Because of a change of jobs, he doesn't wear his butler uniform at work, but rather a white chef shirt, an apron, and a puff white hat to go with it. It was his job to keep the store late at night and close it.
So here's Sebastian walking home late at night when Grell has her fun with a minor scuffle.]
Grell? Well, I often like to lend a hand to a lady in distress. Do you need help?
no subject
I do only have two hands.
[Would Sebastian let one of her new play toys run away?]
no subject
Nope! Sebastian is quick like that! Nimble demon caught the fugitive and knocked him out with a swift kick to the head, knocking the run away unconscious. Alive but unconsciousness.]
Well, that took care of your problem. He isn't dead. I just hit him too hard in the head.

Should she pretend to care?
Oh, wait, that's the redhead who was talking about people being too trusting. Huh. Emerald doesn't seem to stop, instead moving closer to see what Grell ends up doing. For whatever reason, the man she's assaulting doesn't seem to notice Emerald despite that she's in clear view- most people would've asked for help if they had. The first sign that she's even there is a cry out from one of his friends who was trying to flee when he falls to the floor with a slit shin, unable to walk but otherwise unharmed. Emerald's not one to interrupt fun, she'll leave that for Grell, but letting people get away isn't exactly her style unless a certain person tells her otherwise.
Might as well make sure no one comes to rescue them while she's here. She understands giving people their just deserts. She crosses her arms and goes to leave against the wall just near the man who was trying to escape, kicking a bit of dirt at him while clearly playing lookout. ]

....no, wait, that's a lie. She loves it. She just doesn't want to be caught.
Her attention turns to the one trying to run away and notices Emerald there. No wonder they were being so noisy. When would they learn...
Giving a few swift kicks with the thighs of the one she's occupied with, essentially breaking the bones so he wouldn't try anything silly either, Grell leaps the distance the other made instantly and lands hard. On their back. The impact crushes their ribcage, and gives them the chance to probably choke on their own blood from here on out. Looking back at her other victim, she urges them to be quiet. Maybe she'll give them a must more swift death.
Her attention turns to Emerald.]
I didn't expect to run into you this evening, Miss Emerald. [Grell doesn't speak as if she was just crushing someone's bones beneath her heels.]
Or anyone, honestly. [Which is true. This is just a detour for her.]
no subject
[ It wasn't her intention to fight but she'd at least make it so Grell could finish the job if there was a problem. Those other than the three.. well, she'd done some research but she didn't have the pleasure of watching them first hand yet. She doubts there's much any of them could do if they couldn't see Grell or the victims, and with the way they're spread out she's not worried at all. But if that's what Grell interpreted her as saying she would do to watch her back, that was fine. Emerald wasn't talkative about her abilities, after all. Assumptions made it very easy.
But it was very easy to see that Emerald had long since gone beyond being bothered by someone being crushed beneath a shoe. She was Mercury's partner, after all. ]
I'm finishing up late. I usually try to take the way home where I can avoid people I don't want to bother putting up with when I'm tired.
[ It's like she's talking about the weather. ]

[Damn it's been a long time since he could cut loose like that.]
["Cut loose." Okay so he's still not, not by a long-shot.]
[But casually back-murdering someone over probably nothing is about as loose-cutting as Marco gets. And he's been having a lot more urges to commit mayhem and murder, not helped that Espio is still kind of mentally and emotionally numbed out of it.]
[And yes, Grell could more than handle them alone but --]
Next time don't hoard all the fun, yoi. [Deadpan and as calm sounding as a frozen lake with no chance to melt or crack.]

This wasn't on my to do list. [She nudges her head towards the real reason she came down here: the injured dog, who was shaking from all the commotion, let alone trauma it went through.]
no subject
[Okay, this is almost definitely overkill, and he's going to have to make sure to clear the area so they don't have a young boy detective stumbling on the blood that Marco casually splatters across the walls with a raking talon -- but all the same, the dogs are Ace's friends, and he's kind of glad that Grell took a liking to them... in her own way.]

[Good way to spend a day.]
[And lest she ignore him too much, he occasionally bumps his head against her to demand pets.]
[Yes.]
[Great way to spend a day.]
PFFFF I SHOULD BE SURPRISED BUT I'M NOT
What sort of technology would we ever need on a ship? [Because Grell knows nothing about ships except that sometimes they have zombies on them.]
XD
[Turns a page with his beak.] I want to make it fishing, caviar, brewery, bar, and hotel.
And enable the rest of the pirates to stay. Good for fortifying alliances and keeping tabs, yoi.
The bottom hull has to open up for fishing and underwater entry, so an automated bilge press and security protocol would be ideal. Cameras around points of entry or anywhere with access to outsiders too.
Still can't say I'm fond of robots though, love.
