[The Archways]
Tifa stood at the cross roads. It was a lot to take in at once. Where to go? The folder had been informative, but experiencing something was something completely different than reading it on a piece of paper. She thumbed through the high-tech PHS she was given, unsure whether she should trust it just yet with communicating. She noted that other people were using it for various reasons. She could talk to them, but to her it wasn't the same. It felt detached.
She gave an annoyed sigh before pocketing it again. Standing around wasn't going to to solve anything. It wasn't going to get her closer to home. It wasn't going to help her run into anyone she may know here. Time to choose.
[Commonspace and Streets]
For the time being, Tifa was fine with her temporary residence. She was used to living in tight, shared quarters. As long as she had a private place to sleep and bathe, she had no issues. The money is was provided with was good enough to keep her afloat food wise until she could find work.
As much as the idea of settling in a place that wasn't home rubbed her the wrong way, she knew it was something that had to be done. If she was lucky she'd be back home the next morning. Worst case scenario she would be stuck in this strange land with no work and no money. Work would keep her grounded, and sane for the time being, again, if she could find it.
There was also the matter of a change of clothing. She couldn't just go around wearing the same thing daily, without proper washing facilities. More things to invest in, less money she had until she could find work. You'll make it work she minded herself, as she locked the door to her studio and ventured out into the city streets.
[Open]
OOC: Tifa will be exploring all nooks and crannies that she can. Could be coming into your place looking for work, friend, etc. Pick a time and place (any time any place), and we'll make it work.

Today he was out in Genessia sitting on a bench and people watching. He idly watches Tifa walking by and catalogs little details about her appearance. Martial artist he thinks. He didn't know the different disciplines well enough to pick it out just from that, but there were similarities he spotted. Ran sometimes moved in a similar way.

She turned to him with a smile and gave him a friendly wave. "Hi. Are you lost?" Not that she could help him. She didn't quite know her way around here to begin with.
no subject
"No, I live here in Genessia City."

In other words, yes, he'd been told that many times. And he'd ignored it every time.

If he'd been trying seriously, no one would have noticed in the first place.

So it happened that he walked through the Fayren archway to head home around the same time that Tifa was there looking at her device. He paused to watch her deliberate for a moment, then sigh and put it away. Seeing that, he approached her.
"Pardon me, miss." Xander stopped still a fair few feet away. Even so, it would be apparent to Tifa just how tall the man before her was. He was also wearing medieval rider's armor, and it looked high-quality and ornate. "Did you need help with something?"

"I suspected that might be the case. It wasn't that long ago that I was in your shoes."
He then took a look back at the archway he had just walked through. It was probably not a good idea to go back through, so he turned to her and asked, "Have you already explored Genessia? If not, I'd be happy to show you around to some of the more significant locations nearby."

"Anyway, before we go, let me introduce myself. My name is Xander." After giving his name, he bowed formally. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

Genessia City, 10/10
He’d grabbed a cup of coffee and was walking down the sidewalk when he spotted Tifa. He paused mid-sip and stared at her for a moment or two. They had history together. Maybe not history here, but from where he came from before this. Tifa had been one of the most important people in his life and he figured he could run into her here. Now that he had, he wasn’t sure what he should say or even if he should greet her. He was, however, staring at her a little bit.
Re: Genessia City, 10/10
Why were people here always staring at her?
She promptly lifted her brow at him, and took a few steps towards him. Free hand planted on her hip. "Do I have something on my face?"

"Uh, no. Sorry. You just look like this really beautiful girl I used to know. I thought you were her for a few moments there."
no subject
For their sakes, of course.
no subject
" Again. Sorry."

Fayren wilderness - Poke-Pandeomonium (Action)
Ted's voice would go off like a pistol shot before the chaos. "Annnd...go!"
Gengar, the grinning ghost, faced off against the rest of his team: Vileplume, the spore-spewing flower, Trevenant the tanky tree, and Cacturne the spike-shooting cactus.
Gengar could beat any on his bench 1-on-1, so the obvious thing to do was move up to 1-on-everyone!
Shadow balls fly, spikes shoot, Trevenant nobly runs defense, and spores go everywhere! At least Ted had the forethought to not do this in public. He's got a gas mask and very disposable (read: dumpster-quality) clothes on just in case.
Re: Fayren wilderness - Poke-Pandeomonium (Action)
MONSTERS.
She took into action quickly, into a spring until she was buy the side of the person that was ...hopefully a person. "Do you need help?"
Re: Fayren wilderness - Poke-Pandeomonium (Action)
He's totally a person! Talked to her on the phone and everything.
Ted's in the precarious position of having to watch the proceedings, making sure they didn't get too out of hand, while avoiding the violence on his person specifically. His brain isn't equipped to multi-task for too long, so he'll err on the side of caution and try to tackle Tifa to the ground before an errant spike sticks them both.
"Get down!"

Re: Fayren wilderness - Poke-Pandeomonium (Action)
He had a pang of relief as she eluded all harm. Trevenant sailed through the air as an underground shadow fist popped him skyward. This was too dangerous to continue; he scrambled to his feet, hoped that no spores would put them into any sneezing fits, then shouted. "Stop!"
Gengar got in one last cheap shot, then he stopped.
"All right everyone, huddle up." One by one the monsters marched to Ted's position. "Oh, ah, except you Vileplume. Sorry, you know the rules." It sat down, a little sadly, and rested its sizeable head. He turned toward Tifa.
"Hello Ms. Lockheart. You've stumbled upon an...exercise, of sorts. Don't be too alarmed at the violence; they're very hardy and enjoy it very much. It's sporting, in fact!" He was reassuring a little too hard, what with the protective gear, isolated space, and the fact that the monsters' moods weren't exactly innocent, competitive spirit.
"What brings you to this neck of the woods?"
Re: Fayren wilderness - Poke-Pandeomonium (Action)
She figured out pretty quickly that this situation wasn't as dangerously dire that she had first assessed it. Better safe than sorry. However, the fact that he referred to her by name, that was creepy. That wasn't right.
"I'm sorry, but do I know you?"
