[Video] Well that's weird
[Groggy and confused was a much better state than he expected to be in. Alive was a better state than he expected. Maybe he wasn't alive? It was pretty easy to die when one's airship was destroyed under their feet.
After fiddling with the phone for awhile, and dropping it twice, he gets it working. He might as well ask, right?]
Greetings. I will not waste time inquiring about how this... world works but I must know how it is that most come to be here. The circumstances that led to my being unconscious before arriving were dire, leading me to believe that this is either some kind of afterlife or that my mind is locked here while my body is controlled by a very powerful entity.
The complexity of the illusion makes it unlikely that the dragon is behind this. Unless it is far more intelligent than previous speculation suggests.
[As calm as his words are, he looks concerned.]
Is it common for others to arrive here in the middle of a deadly encounter? If there are other sylvari that can hear me now, I would be exceptionally grateful to know how you came to be transferred to this place. I still feel a connection to the Dream, though it is fainter than I have ever felt before.
I welcome any explanations that disprove my theories.

"I do glow," he said, lamely. "Plant creatures are so rare from where you're from?"
Maybe that was for the best, considering the origin of the sylvari.

The massive white bengal tiger continued around Trahearne to his side, and headbutted his bicep, purring loudly. Do you like cats? Indeed.

"What-?"

no subject
"I, um, is this why you asked about cats?" That would be his luck wouldn't it?

Tannusen whuffed again and sat down where he was, ears flicking before he deliberately nodded his massive head. His purring trailed off.

"That's, uh, fascinating. Is transformation common among fae?"
no subject
"Pooka are animals that turn into people," he said, "or more... the... embodiment of their specific animal. That's my kith; pooka. Specific flavor of fae. Most of the Egyptian gods were just pooka fucking with the humans."
Ugh, telling plain truths was hard. It took some serious willpower! He made a face.
"Telling the truth is hard. I can, briefly. But only in bursts."

"I know of something similar, but at the same time, not too similar. Transformation magic, temporary transformation magic, is common enough on Tyria. Norn can channel their patron spirits to transform into animal-like forms. Animals turning into people, however, I've not heard of that." He wouldn't doubt such magic existed, but if it did, he'd never heard of it.

"You though, you glow with Glamour. It's our life-blood, the opposite of banality. The Dreaming flows through you like I've never seen it flow through any other mortal. Any Fae on this world will be drawn to you, for good or ill."
no subject
"Dare I ask if you mean good or ill? If you are able to answer that without frustration?" Trahearne wanted to be polite but it was even better to know if he was in danger or not.

Tannusen folded his arms. He glanced at the books Trahearne held, then at the arm he'd headbutted as a tiger. "I mean good. If that wasn't obvious enough. I don't want to freeze to death in this unending blizzard; why would I harm such a bonfire? Let me hang around you a bit now and then and I'm sure I can do something useful in return."
no subject
"I'm not even settled, so I'm unsure where or how we would meet again." Why was Trahearne already worried about this? His desire to help could be frustrating at times.

"I'm used to things like these being considerably less user friendly." He swore asura made their communication devices difficult to use on purpose. "I appreciate that specific contact information is not password protected on personal devices here."
Asura.

"I am not sure what I expected to happen in my first hour of arriving on some strong world that may or may not be the afterlife....This was not it, not it at all." It was all very surreal.

And he looked up with another of those sharp grins, though now the explainable oddness of his canines was perhaps... explained.
"Expect the unexpected, or you'll always be surprised."
no subject
"I will keep that in mind. I can't be the oddest thing here, if what the hologram said is true." Tannusen, for one, he considered stranger.

"Well, I'm off to eat someone. Good luck finding stuff!"
