Cherry Blossom Viewing Party
WHO: Raye Hino, OPEN
WHAT: The cherry blossom trees are in full bloom, so this calls for aweeaboo picnic party traditional social gathering to relax, eat food, and admire the view. And maybe shenanigans.
WHEN: April 27, 2014 - All Day
WHERE: Genessia City - Shrine
NOTES: Feel free to make your own threads! Just indicate if the thread is open, or locked to just a few. HAVE FUN OR ELSE!
Raye had indicated that the weather would be favorable on Sunday, so when the rain started coming down over the weekend, she got angry. And she ranted at the spirits, who didn't bother responding to her demands for pleasant weather to encourage attendance at the shrine. But to her relief, Sunday morning brought blue skies after all. Whether that was the spirit's doing, or if the skies were going to clear up on their own, who could say? Raye didn't care so long as she got results.
She rushed to the temple as soon as she was dressed in order to put up the paper lanterns once more...and to throw out her blanket on the spot she thought was the best for watching cherry blossoms. If no one else had claimed it first, then she was within her rights to aggressively stake her territory, especially if she was going to spend the day with Jaune and Minako, possibly some of her other friends as well. She hoped Harry would show up, but Everglade had a lot going on, so it wouldn't surprise her if he couldn't. She'd lecture him about it later.
Hastily she swept up the courtyard and tossed feed at the chickens, trying to take care of her daily chores before the first of the party-goers arrived. She'd worked hard to make this tradition a success, and no one...no one...was going to ruin it. Or they would face her wrath.

.. Yeah she doesn't think he will really give it back. Actually she didn't care all that much - there was plenty of chicken to go around. And he's probably eaten hers already in which case he can keep it!
no subject
"Mmm. You know, I rarely have chicken, but even I have to admit that this is pretty good. You should try some for yourself."
no subject
Oh well. She should try some for herself huh? She huffs, "I was going to! What are you doing up there anyway, swiping food off of people's plates?"
no subject
“You were?” He takes another bite out of the chicken. “It’s a shame that you haven’t tried it yet, then.” He was resisting the urge to snicker some more.
“Honestly, I was just sitting up here enjoying the view of everything at first. Then you came by and made it so easy to swipe food from you plate that I couldn’t resist.”
no subject
"Must be a nice view from up there too, though. You're a friend of Raye's?"
no subject
"No. I just saw this thing get announced. I'm from the same world as Black, Ruby and Yang, though." He knew she knew them.
"And I met Natsu at that sleepover that your guild had." He drops down from the tree and lands on the ground next to her.
"Sun Wukong."
no subject
Still, as he named the others, Lucy grinned. "Oh! I haven't met Yang yet, but I know she's Ruby's older sister." As he dropped down to land next to her and introduced himself, she offered a hand in greeting.
"Lucy Heartfilia. Nice to meet you."
no subject
He reaches over to her and takes her hand and shakes it.
"Likewise, Lucy." He finishes off the stolen piece of chicken now. "Want to replace the chicken I stole from you?" It was the least he could do, really. And he wanted to go and snag something to drink anyway.
no subject
A firm handshake later, and she shakes her head with a laugh, "No, it's okay. I shouldn't eat too much anyway. You're probably doing me a favor there too. I have sandwiches back on the blanket with Natsu anyway." If she REALLY needed to have a piece of chicken she'd go and get another one.
