WHAT: The cherry blossom trees are in full bloom, so this calls for a weeaboo picnic party traditional social gathering to relax, eat food, and admire the view. And maybe shenanigans.

Raye had indicated that the weather would be favorable on Sunday, so when the rain started coming down over the weekend, she got angry. And she ranted at the spirits, who didn't bother responding to her demands for pleasant weather to encourage attendance at the shrine. But to her relief, Sunday morning brought blue skies after all. Whether that was the spirit's doing, or if the skies were going to clear up on their own, who could say? Raye didn't care so long as she got results.

She rushed to the temple as soon as she was dressed in order to put up the paper lanterns once more...and to throw out her blanket on the spot she thought was the best for watching cherry blossoms. If no one else had claimed it first, then she was within her rights to aggressively stake her territory, especially if she was going to spend the day with Jaune and Minako, possibly some of her other friends as well. She hoped Harry would show up, but Everglade had a lot going on, so it wouldn't surprise her if he couldn't. She'd lecture him about it later.

Hastily she swept up the courtyard and tossed feed at the chickens, trying to take care of her daily chores before the first of the party-goers arrived. She'd worked hard to make this tradition a success, and no one...no one...was going to ruin it. Or they would face her wrath.

when battler finally arrives, he's wearing something he picked up at the store and it feels like forever since he hasn't worn something for family gatherings. he's carrying a basket full of certain goodies and has a picnic blanket in hand as well. he spots her, grinning as he heads over to her.]

Yo! Yuri. Did ya wait long?

[he really hopes not!! what a bad boyfriend he would be if that were the case. he's setting the basket down, taking the blanket and spreading it out properly.]

Only like three hours.

[ She's exaggerating. She did get to talk to Keiichi before he got here though, but it's not like she was actually here that long.

Either way, Battler wearing normal clothes is something she's so unused to even after their time here that she has to stare at him quite openly for a few seconds. ]

I'm losing my touch if I make you wait that long...!

[SHE'S A LIIAAAARR!

either way, he's just sitting now, moving to take the items out of the basket... but then he looks over at her. she was staring at him, totally.]

W...what, what is it?

[ She shakes her head. ]

Nothing. It's just refreshing for neither of us to be in our 'battle armor' so to speak. I'm not used to it.

Oh.. [he looks down at his attire.] Ihihi... yeah, I know the feeling! It's been way too long! I was getting so tired of dressing formally, you know?

[OKAY! the contents of the basket are coming out. he seems to have sandwiches, trays of fruit he cut up, is that a pie?! it sure is. he might have just bought that one at the store.]

And I have some cans of juice in here too! [YAYAY good picnic!]

[ She gets cut off by the food though, content with letting that compliment go right to the wind because she's content with less embarrassing topics. ]

How much stuff did you make?! There's way more than we need here!

[ They're going to get stuffed!!! Yuri's totally grabbing some of that juice first and is going to open one, take a sip, then pass it to Battler. ]

[OH- he was about to comment on the food, but then she was already handing him something. he grinned at her, reaching out to take the can.]

We're sharing now?

[ You're getting an indirect kiss, asshole. Duh. She's going to take the other can and open it and sip it too because this one is hers. ]

Pass me a sandwich.

[oh fine... he goes to take a sip of the can, somewhat understanding what she was getting at.]

Alright! One sandwich, coming right up!

[he grabs a paper plate and puts a sandwich on it. he leans over to pass it to her.]

[ Even as she's asking, once she's got it she's picking the bread up to peek inside.. ]

[he can't help it!! seeing her so lively like this is really entertaining! he missed this kind of situation with them, so he wanted to take full advantage of it.]
