 [The video feed opens on a empty room. For a moment, it remains empty, and then between one blink and another a faintly glowing teenage boy appears. He offers a confident smile to the camera, and begins to speak in a voice that faintly echoes.]

Hello. I'm Danny Phantom. Some of you might have seen me at night around Genessia or Everglade. [He grimaces.] I haven't really been out during the day much.

[He gestures at himself.] It's probably obvious from the whole glowing and floating thing, but I'm a ghost. And I'm running for Guardian of Everglade.

Now, I'm not going to promise I'll know what I'm doing. I've never done anything in politics before, and I've never tried to run a city. But what I will promise is that I'm doing this because I want to help. I want to make things better. And I want to find a way to get everyone, human and supernatural, to work together.

Good intentions aren't a bad place to start. [ He was definitely eyeing Danny, though. Not so much for the ghost thing as much as how he had hoped to hear more about who he was and further information on where he stood, but he'd come out with neither. Frustrating, but maybe all it took were a few questions and a polite smile to make some progress. ] May I ask what inspired you to run?
