The end is only a new beginning [Video/Action]
[A white-haired figure wearing a decidedly ancient homespun robe emerges from the cavern, looking bemusedly about and blinking in the mid-afternoon sun. Given that the last thing he remembers is aiding Mary in returning all the Gnosis to Lost Jerusalem, and both their physical forms dissipating in the process, he can perhaps be excused for being somewhat confused - especially since he knows, beyond the shadow of doubt, that this is not Lost Jerusalem. Nor is it Michtam, where last he stood in crystal caverns hewn by man beneath that planet's long-dead surface.]
[The hologram at the exit of the cavern seems quaint, even old-fashioned, to his eyes - after all, he's from an era when man walked among the stars. Compared to the inner workings of an ES or starship, just about anything is going to seem antiquated. Still, he listens patiently to the information being given by the young woman, nodding to himself as background noise in the collective subconscious confirms details of what she's telling him, and then examines the communications device he's been given. It's not so different from the UMN phones that have been in vogue for the past decade or so, back home. Doping out its workings takes him no time at all.]
Well. This certainly isn't where I expected to end up.

[Feel free to run into the guy in the robe if you happen to see him wandering about.]

[You mean us religious figures dealing with science and technology go bad and humanity kind messed up Earth yet again? Yeah, totally see a theme.]
What happened to Earth? Destroyed? Mine is almost destroyed...but was saved at the last minute. Then restart all over again. What is it with humankind to be so fascinated with the stars and look upward for the answers?
[Abel have to smile a bit.]
Still, to hear humans go to the stars and map the univere, that's something good happened to their evolution, I think.

My goodness. You sound like a very...um...a very old soul.
[Nods. At this point, with the way this conversation is going.]
May I ask? Are you human, Chaos? Or a personification of the entity?
[The priest is catching on and is quite perceptive.]

[And given what he's said about the universe nearly collapsing, either he's been sleeping on the job, or...]
I'm... to put it in layman's terms, you could call me a fail-safe. If the lower domain ever threatens the upper, my purpose is to wipe it clean and restore everything to the very beginning. I was without form or will of my own for a very long time, until I met a person who showed me that even one such as I could change things for the better. That was nearly six thousand years ago - with the aid of another of his disciples, I sealed my power in order to live among humans, as one of them, experiencing their world as they saw it. I have seen proof both of their infinite capacity for destruction as well as their infinite capacity for love and nurturing. The choice to end that... I could never willingly make that choice. Four times, I failed to realize there was another choice - four times, I allowed another to use my power to reset time, back to the day Earth was lost, and humans left their cradle.
[Yes. That's right. Not six thousand years - twenty-two thousand. And a whole lot more than that, before he became self-aware.]

[Abel listened intently, and just accepts it. He's a priest, humble and meek. Though he understands how much power of divine can be contained within a body.]
My, my, you sure do came a long way. I mean, your very name warrants yours divinity! If you ever meet one of my acquaintances, a man named Ted, your story will sure give him a run for his money!
[Still the kind priest smiled, with a sighed.]
Anyway, I hope your stay, however long it maybe will be a comfortable one. I mean, in the long stretch of things, nothing exciting happens in Genessia.
