11th Aura | Video
[The video opens to Jaune trying to fix the camera, before finally settling his device and the picture down. Wearing his jeans and hoodie, he's sitting crosslegged on his bed which he takes a lot of pride in. Oh, and there's a hole in his wall that looks like something around seven or so feet was violently knocked through it but pay no attention to that.
Jaune takes a sip from what looks like an energy drink before he starts talking. He sounds a bit stilted and awkward, as if he didn't plan any of this.]
In case you don't know me, I'm Jaune Arc. I work for the Nova City Branch of Schnee Company, led by Weiss Schnee her snowiness herself. But today, I'm here to promote a very important non-profit side company called Genessia Scientific Research Foundation, or GSRF for short. If you went to the party, which you should have. [He points at the camera, then takes a sip of his drink which is precariously balanced on his comforter.] Then you probably know a little about it. But if you didn't, then stop watching this video and go to GSRF. Right now. I'm serious, stop watching. We have a lot of great things we offer but we can't do this for free. By donating, you get to attend the best parties. There's lots of neat sh-- things going on there. We have some of the most dedicated scientists working there, and they're really smart and stuff. At least I think they are. Don't you have to go to school for a long time to play with needles and other instruments? So yeah, if you're interested in science, or want to find out more about this place and donate your time, we could always use more interested people.
What else can I say about it-- Uhhh. Oh yeah, I got this useful pamphlet! [He picks up a GSRF informative pamphlet which he never bothered to read, carelessly showing it off and holding it like it's more than a piece of paper.] You can get one of these for free and you could read it to learn more. You could read it with your friends...you could even frame it and have a poster. Or write your grocery list on it. It's incredibly versatile! GSRF pamphlets, offered for free at GSRF. But we offer lots of cooler stuff for people who donate. Like a free tote! Weiss do we get free totes? [He looks over his shoulder.] Oh. She's not around. Anyway, you have the word of Jaune Arc you'll get this super cool free tote that you can use for...anything if you donate 50 redbills to the GSRF Foundation. You could put your drinks in it, or your car keys...you could even just carry it around. Just in case you find a stray cat and want to take it home.
Don't be mean to stray cats.
Go check it out yourselves because like science people always say, learning's an opportunity. This carefully thought out advertisement promoting GSRF was not funded by any company and done voluntarily by myself without being assigned or rewarded for doing it.

Re: action;
Sure, as long as you promise to tell me to stop if it gets too hard. I halved one of the mechs that was attacking Velvet with just the arm in one hit. We'll just have to find a place to do it that no one else is at risk of getting hurt. [ whatever jaune she likes friends ] I just... like that I can fight alongside others instead of alone.
action;
I promise. I think it's a pretty cool semblance. Once you master it, not only will you be a better fighter, they'll be like your friends. [Despite his back being turned, he seems to realize they've reached a corner and stops.] Before we go any further, can you please close your eyes and trust me? I won't let you fall. I promise.
Re: action;

There are a row of storage spaces that line the street.]
Watch your step. You're going to come to a slight drop just a few inches down, and...here.
[He stops in front of one of them, sliding something cool and metal into her hand. It's a key to the storage shed in front of them.]
You can open your eyes now.
[Jaune steps to the side, averting his eyes anxiously for a second.]
Go ahead.
[He'll look at her once she opens the door. Whenever she chooses to, she'll find an antique piano and bench. It looks like the piano has been repaired extensively for the past few months.]
action;
What she sees honestly takes her breath away. It takes her a moment to even move once she sees the piano. It looked really nice.. it was clearly refurbished, but it was done well from the looks of it. Her steps from there took on a sense of reverence, her hand slowly reaching out to touch the keys- to feel and hear the sound from them. It was just a few notes, a single scale.
Before she turned around, she quickly jerked her hands up to her eyes to wipe away the tears that had formed in the corner of her eyes. That sense that Jaune was the one who was too good for her, for all of his flaws, was back- but this time in a much more positive way. So much work had to have gone into this, and that it was in a storage shed and not delivered.. had he done this himself? Just to get as close as he could to giving her a piece of herself back that she'd long since felt she'd lost with her singing voice.
Weiss didn't cry a lot. Not unless things got really, truly terrible. Her hands both went over her mouth after she'd dabbed the tears away, but a second later her heart felt like it was about to explode. She almost couldn't believe it. And he still gave this to her, after she'd basically said that she couldn't be with him. For every way she'd ever treated him, he always still put her first. This wasn't a good gift because it was expensive or exquisite, it was good because of everything Jaune was.
When she finally turned around and put her hands down, she smiled at him in such an earnest way it's a miracle she even remembered how to do so, her eyes still glistening with the tears she tried to rid herself of only moments ago. ]
I can't believe you. Thank you, Jaune.
action;
For a split-second when he saw the tears, he began to worry, but she seemed emotional...not distraught. An overwhelming burst of warmth hit him. He wouldn't say it, but the fact that she could make him still feel that, without even knowing, just by being herself when he had numbed himself was part of why he had fallen for her.
He knew he was grinning at her like an idiot, but he couldn't tone it down. Not right now. He started to approach her, elated and his heart practically melting at the sight of her brilliant smile. She was amazing and intelligent and graceful and adorable.
This was everything he had wanted.]
You're welcome. Dave helped me a lot, with narrowing it down to the right one and making sure I didn't break it when I repaired it. I just told him you played. And that as City Guardian, you deserve something that makes you happy.
[Which is still true, and part of it. He figures he doesn't need to explain, though. He scratches the back of his neck.]
I don't have anything to transport it, but I can get it back to the house whenever you're ready. I don't know if the acoustics here are the best, but...wanna give it a try?
action;
[ It made sense how he could afford something like this, but honestly, Weiss is just incredibly flattered. He was probably right about the acoustics, but it was fine.. she wanted to try it regardless. Weiss finally pulled the bench in and took a seat at the proper distance. She thinks for a moment about what to play, but in the end, it's easy. Jaune always enjoyed her music. She may not be able to sing anymore, but she starts playing. ]
action;
[Stepping inside the storage building, Jaune finds himself holding his breath while he waits for her to pick a song. For once, he's quiet as she dives into the melody, his chest tight and face hot. He's trying not to get emotional, but it's the good kind, and he scrubs at his eyes while her back is turned, his voice hoarse and betraying his efforts.]
I knew you'd play beautifully...
action;
When she's done she turns around and looks at him, almost looking like she's going to laugh because of how ridiculous it is, in a good way. ]
Why are you crying? I'm the one who's barely holding it together here!
action;
Lots of people get emotional about pretty music.
action;
[ She stands up from the bench to face Jaune now at least. For once she looks.. better. At least, as better as she can be given everything that's gone on. ]
Thank you.
action;
[He's teasing, of course. Staring at her softly, his voice is quieter than he intended, almost as if he's afraid if he speaks too loud he'll ruin it.]
You don't have to thank me. I'm just happy you like it.
action;
[ She's teasing too. It's nice that they can joke about making Jaune cry. ]
I want to thank you anyway. [ She has no idea where to put it. Given the apparent disaster that is her sleeping zone, her bedroom might not be the best idea. ] Maybe I should take it to work? It'd be nice to de-stress there.
action;
I know you do. You're welcome. [He looks thoughtful for a moment, propping his elbow on his hand.] Maybe. It would be safer there-- from Nora and Yang, and I bet your office has nice acoustics.
action;
It's probably going to get crowded soon anyway. The more room at home the better.
[ But okay- Weiss was going to have a nice little presentation for her gift to him but honestly, it fits in her back pocket so she's thinking about giving it to him right now instead of doing what she'd planned back home. It seems too silly now. ]
I.. was going to do this big thing to give you your gift, but I kind of feel like I should just give it to you now and just explain it clearly, because your gift was far more thoughtful and meaningful than I expected. Not that mine isn't but... I was going to play a joke back home, and it just feels silly now.
action;
...Does it ever get weird for you?
[He stares at her a little incredulously, amusement shining through.]
What? Seriously? You were going to go along the lines of, "It's just a prank, bro"? [He giggles into his hand.] I'm sure I'll like it either way. I'd be happy with anything from Weiss Schnee.
action;
Constantly. Despite being the poster child for welcoming I actually hate it when it comes to people from our world. [ It's one thing when you're welcoming strangers. It's another thing when you're giving the same spiel for the fifth time to your partner who doesn't remember you, again, and is probably going to forget in another month or two so what's even the point? And then not feeling anything when they want you to as you tell them that their dead friends might show up for a tear-filled reunion, because it's not the first or even the second time you've seen it happen. ]
I would never phrase it like that. I was going to give you a fake gift and then give you your real one. [ She takes out a Pokeball from her little hip pouch, expands it, then holds it out to him. ] This is for you. It's a Magikarp, which.. will take more work than most Pokemon, but I think you'll understand this a lot more later. It's a boy, jolly nature, and it's level 8.
Re: action;
What was the fake gift? [Nevermind, he's staring at the Pokeball, completely silent. His eyes flicker to hers in awe, and he starts reaching for it, retracting is hand as if it was burned. He's embarrassed by how muted his voice is, but this is honestly the coolest gift ever.] Y-- You're giving me a Pokemon? One of your Pokemon?
action;
It's a stegosaurus made out of a potato and carefully sliced carrots and broccoli. [ She spent a while on it. ] That one's actually yours. I talked to Mewtwo and we figured out which one would be best, and I caught it specifically for you. Which was surprisingly difficult considering I wanted to find one low enough a level that you could do the training and mine are all decidedly not low anymore.
action;
...Wait so this whole time, you've been able to make dinosaur shaped food. And you never told me? [What have they said about secrets? He looks so betrayed. But he's over it after a moment. He's too focused on how she went out and found the right Pokemon for him. She even caught it herself. He gingerly takes the Pokeball from her, smiling at her warmly.]
Thank you. You know how much I like Pokemon. [He studies the ball, gasping and straightening to look at her.] Does this mean we get to train together?!
action;
We're.. probably going to have to. I'm not actually sure how to attack with your Pokemon, we might need to do team battles, so you may have to borrow one of mine too.
action;
What do you mean? Is it purely defensive, like some kind of armored rock?
action;
[ She'll happily encourage him to eat vegetables. Because he is 5. ]
Like I said, it's going to take a lot of work.
action;
[He gets stars in his eyes for a brief moment.]
If there's anything I've learned by training with you, it's that hard work is worth it. So...let's meet him now.
[He takes a deep breath in anticipation, he releases Magikarp. There's that familiar flash of light and...
And Jaune is scrambling over to pick him up, panicking.]
Weiss, is he okay?! Where's water Ineedwater does his Pokeball have water?!
action;
[ She has faith in you, Magikarp and Jaune. ]
