Voice | Action for Genessia City
[So believe it or not it actually did take him a moment to realize that this wasn't Hell. Because there really were certain parts of Hell that were this fucking cold, if not infinitely colder, and it took using at least two other senses to figure out that it smelled far too nice to be the ninth circle, and was far, far too quiet.
One wouldn't think a half frozen damned soul could scream so loud for so long but here we were.
With that out of the way, that just meant figuring out where he was, how he got here, who put him here and why, how to get back, how the hell he was going to get around without Midge to guide him, and who he was going to quietly but painfully murder later when he was all finished being upset about this.
Or murder mid being upset about this.
... There was going to be murder, he decided, at some point. A lot of murder.
Murder however was going to have to wait as the freezing cold demon stumbled his way out of the cave, wrapping himself in a coat (that he never thought he needed but it was excellent he'd thought of it), and clumsily fumbling with the device that he at least knew he'd woken up with. Considering it had been jammed into his hand and all.
It took a few tries, and he had to listen carefully to ensure that it was actually recording voice, before he actually started talking. He'd shoot himself before it looked like he didn't know how to use one of these.]
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.
[Smooth and sweet, if a touch quavery due to being frozen right down to his skeleton.]
It's really not a morning to be out and about, I guess.
I'm afraid I've gotten... turned around.
[ANNOYED]
And I'm... not in any fit state to wander unaided. I hate to bother any of you right now, but if it is at all possible for someone to help me? Please try to understand my annoyance if you send a map or read me instructions... I won't be able to see it.
I'm ninety five percent certain I just left an ocean adjacent cave, if anyone knows where that is.

[Also it's only 30 degrees you big baby]"Ah, sounds like The Bay, where all our fresh captives make their entrance. Certainly; I'll help you wander. I'll be right over."
[For someone who can't see, he's learned the communicator very well. Ted's not sure what he needs help with, exactly, nor where he intends to go in an unfamiliar place, but he'll hammer out the fine details of blind altruism later.]
Re: Video-Action
Thank you, I appreciate it.
You'll have to forgive me if I get at all impatient, this really isn't my kind of weather.
Re: Video-Action
[He revved the Goku uniform and off he goes, puffing winter breath as he finally made it to origin of everyone. One of the benefits of being blind is never having to see what Ted's wearing.]
"Hello! Welcome to Genessia. I'm Ted." [Which is what he would say, presuming he found the weirdo. He better not have wandered too far...]
Re: Video-Action
Recently.
... Well recently to anyone who could actually do this.
Thank goodness Ted actually arrives in a decent amount of time, the man in question shivering and perking up as he heard his approach]
Is that where this is? It's a bit of a surprise, I know I wasn't here this morning.
Thank you for coming out here. For the sake of language, you can just call me Szel, the whole name is a bit complicated.
Re: Video-Action
"Huh! For the sake of etymology, what does it all mean? Truncated or full; I've never heard that name before." [Sorry, oblivious Ted doesn't take into account the shivering, just yet. Gotta use your words to get things out of him.]
"Mm, no it never really prepares one before spiriting you here. Nor when it spirits away, either. Everything's as sudden and abrupt as Judgment Day here. Ah well, nothing for it." [Ted's starting to remember he wanted aid. BUT WITH WHAT]
"Well, er, you mentioned standing in need of something? A warmer place, perhaps?" [Ted's starting to wish he had a home of his own beyond his gloomy bag, if only to warm these poor souls for a while.]
Re: Video-Action
[God that was tempting though, because he definitely knew what it meant but-]
I don't know, my parents just wanted a fancy sounding name. Something that looks good on the certificate, like Neveah. Or North West.
In any case, I would love a place that's considerably warmer than this. I'm used to much warmer and drier weather.
[And this man was religious, he can tell already. Super duper. Lets see how long it takes, unguided, for him to start talking about that.]
Re: Video-Action
"Haha, I know the feeling. I was spared at the last minute from such flights of fancy by a considerably more practical relative. Well, you ought to have a key on you for something to that effect. Here, let me retrieve it for you." [Ted had dealt with enough newbies to know all the things that came with them, and would hunt for the box and key to the Commonspace, as well as take a look at his necklace color to see where he ultimately belonged.]
"Thankfully if we can't find anything, we can become warmer on our own person. Let me put a sweater on you or something; you hardly seem dressed for the climate." [Pushy? You bet. But pushy altruism is efficient altruism]
Re: Video-Action
[He'd let him look, not even bristling if he was touched because... well help was nice. He didn't like it though. Frankly somewhere, deep inside, he had made the decision that he was going to take a long, hot bath the first second he could and just soak until he felt better.]
Oh thank you, you're far too kind.
[Ted would be allowed to dress him. But something tells him he really should be thankful he cannot see shit right now.]

A British accented voice came on the communication device, curious.]
Hello, are you new? You're in a world called Genessia, just for a start. If you can't see, are you able to hear?
[audio/private]
The facade dropped when Sebastian's voice cropped up. He didn't really have to guess if this was a demon. Like knew like
No, I'm deaf, blind and dumb, can't even string a sentence together.
[Okay no, be nice]
When did it become winter? I don't remember it being winter.
[audio/private] -> [Action]
I see.
[Meaning fresh out of the bay.]
And it's January here, so it's winter season.
[Turning chipper.]
Well, since it's cold, you have to find living arrangements. Give me a moment, I'm passing by the Bay anyway.
[After all, he did said he can't go anywhere unaided. Sebastian just left Nova City and he's on his way to Everglade anyway. Call it a commute to home.
So in the Bay now, what happens when two demons are in close proximately of each other? It is like a normal walk in a park?]
Re: [audio/private] -> [Action]
[He wouldn't be hard to find, dressed to the nines in front of the bay and wrapped in a long coat. Smoke curled from his mouth, half in irritation, half in an attempt to keep himself warm. He wouldn't die, after all the center of hell was so much colder.
But it was very uncomfortable]
Alright. We should get this out of the way as soon as possible. Name and levels.
[There were official ways of handling demons he didn't recognize, Sebastian was one of them]
Szelhamos, first lieutenant to Beelzebub, third level, gluttony.
You?
[Action]
[No comment as to why He invented seasons onto Earth. To Sebastian's surprise, it's another demon, and he's more than familiar of who the rulers in Hell are. With a deep bow that a butler should have, paying his respects]
Sebastian Michaelis. And I'm just one Hell of a butler. [His favorite motto.] I left Home for 3 years to serve a human.
I dare say, it's quite misfortunate you ended up here. I would have recommend the Genessia's commonspace. It's a small apartment building where the rent is free for one month, but the space is a 10x10 studio. [In other words, very small room.] After that, you have to find a job in this world or else your money run out in your starter pack will run out.
[But money and jobs are for humans. Pretty worthless to this demon. But he pass off as a human anyway on principle for aesthetic appearance. And boredom.]
Anyway, Genessia works like Earth, but there is a small population of other Beings from other worlds and universes here who enter this dimension the same way through the Bay.
Re: [Action]
[Contract demon. He used to do contracts. Once. Being an old fuck has its distinct benefits.]
I agree, it's a travesty. Neither of us deserve to be here, but here we are nevertheless. ... And a ten by ten room is garbage and so is getting a job.
[BUT, he is a demon of high taste and high maintenance and he really doesn't want to live in a shitty ten by ten apartment for god knows how long and eat crap food.]
Do you get paid to be a butler, or have you found some way around having to cough up money here?
no subject
Well, the year is 1889 where I'm from. So I rather not say what is my salary, considering all forms of money is absolutely rubbish compared to souls.
[In the end, souls matter.]
I own a company, and I plan to expand my business. So I'm a butler to a child by contract, but here I'm a businessman that makes money.
[Changing the subject.]
Anyway, it's getting late. If you don't mind walking through the cold, and my hospitality, I invite you to stay at my manor if that studio is far beneath you. If you find your pendant in your box and wear it, you'll need that to enter the archway gates as the key.

A-Are you okay? It looks r-really cold in the other cities for s-some reason.
[Okay, it was cold in Fayren because of the season, too. But, it hadn't been hit by the magic, especially out in the middle of nowhere like he was, so it was normal cold. And he excessively heated his home to keep the boyfriend happy, so it was pretty cozy.]
D-Do you need help? It's... It's warm here.
Re: [Video]
It's just terribly boring.

Re: [Video]
It's a mm... fiddly sort of hobby for me for various reasons. I usually have audio books or braille for it, but finding the latter is becoming increasing difficult these days.
Do you like murder m-mysteries?
[He seemed to already have an idea.]

Which...is a tremendous shame, lest I would invite you to the library. Still, I suppose chipping ice from the frame just to open the door does grow tedious.
Re: [Video]
That's not to say I still would turn down a trip to the library.
