So you you are from there as well? Then that makes it clear that a number of people are from different, shall we say, versions of Japan. It is unknown, for now, how we've all arrived here.

[Satsuki is quiet for a moment.]

Many things here are different, though basic living is essentially the same. My theory is that we are supposed to simply settle here, there isn't any evidence that suggests why as of yet.

I suppose I should introduce myself, I am Satsuki. Revocs Corporation is world-known textile company. I'd like you to explain what GALAX is.

[This all seems like something out of a science fiction novel. It takes a moment for him to answer as he is processing the information.]

Seems like a strange kind of kidnapping, doesn't it? They snatch you up and then just expect you to live somewhere new. I suppose the basics of life are necessary when you are stuck somewhere indefinitely.

[He pauses, well she did introduce herself so he can do her the courtesy of doing the same.]

I'm Rui. Ninomiya Rui. Even if you explain it, Revocs Corporation isn't one I'm familiar with.

[He smirks a little, at least this he can do.]

GALAX is an open platform social networking site and application that connects users all over the country. It's an intricate program that is maintained by an A.I. named X and X keeps an eye on everything going on. The idea is to update the world through social media and using everyone instead of people manipulating things to their own ends. It's a fairly large community now.

It does..

[Satsuki admits she doesn't grasp the entire scope of GALAX's purpose, but what she does gather impresses her. Really, all that's left is for Rui to prove their talent.]

I see. It may be beneficial for both of us to speak further, Rui, though it would be best to do so in person- I have a dislike for these devices.

I wish to see a demonstration of your skill. In return I will get you up to speed best I can.

That sounds fine, but I'll need directions since I don't know where I am to begin with.

[He gets up, frowning a little bit although she can't see him.]

I hope I find a map soon.

You will not; I am already on my way- It may take about twenty minutes. And I shall provide a map for you.

You sound young; might I ask your age?

I will be at the edge of the water then, I have no interest in remaining surrounded by it.

Do I? [He smiles a little bit.] I'm already eighteen, so not that young.

[Perhaps it's the acoustics of the bay to blame! That said, but 'one moment' she clearly meant twenty minutes because it takes her that long to arrive.

Her uniform is a combination of a sailor fuku and a military uniform, and she has a sword in hand; her stride is purposeful and.. Well, she doesn't really appear very friendly. There seems to be a rather commanding presence about her when she comes to halt before Rui, whom she greets with a raise of her brow.]

[Twenty minutes isn't that long in the scheme of things really, and Rui found somewhere to sit while he waits for her. In a way it was lucky that he was wearing what he wanted to when he was kidnapped because for the most part he didn't let people meet him when he wasn't dressed up accordingly.

Satsuki does give off a commanding presence, while Rui's own presence is one that easily blends into the crowd. He stands, smoothing down his red and black skirt, brushes one of his blond braided pigtails aside and pushes a button on his tablet to clear the screen]

That would be me. You're Satsuki?

[Satsuki nods her head.] Mn. [Though she has to admit, Rui doesn't look as she had expected. But then again not every computer wiz would look like Hoka, would they?]

Has anyone familiar contacted you while you were waiting? Some newcomers are 'fortunate' enough to run into one or two.

[That said, the other's presence is about what she had expected. Sadly she hasn't any Goku Uniforms to bring that potential out further. She'll have to make do.]

No, no one at all. That's not that unusual though.

[Rui seems to be thinking about something.] Someone gave me directions to the library.

[He glances around the body of water again, a little puzzled by it all.]

Something just isn't sitting right with me about this whole thing. It's illogical.

[He might not have reached out to Satsuki at home, but he's also missing his Hundred and only he has CROWDS here.]

I suppose while I'm trapped here, maybe I can update this world as well.

[Satsuki is used to the atmosphere here, so isn't nearly as curious about it. Which may or may not be unusual. She can understand the other's curiosity, though, and it almost makes her smile.]

It is. But perhaps with a few clues, things will become clear. [she offers] Ah, before I forget..

[Satsuki hands Rui a map of Genessia City.]

And what do you mean by 'update'?

[Rui accepts the map with a nod, glancing it over while he talks.]

My reasons for creating GALAX were to change the way the world is run. There's a big problem with the politicians in my country with a high level of turn over. No one is able to do the job, there is a lot of corruption and I don't think we need people like that anymore. People are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves. GALAX is used for a lot of things and when people behave in a way that helps the community at large they are rewarded with points and scores in their help to 'update the world'

GALAX encompasses a lot of different applications in one large social media system.

That's an.. Interesting system. By the sounds of it, it seems it was incredibly popular.

[Satsuki is surprised that something like that would even work. But..]

Perhaps that is your purpose; something like that would be useful here. Nova City is a city connected to Genessia via archway that is deeply immersed in technology.

If you prove yourself, then perhaps I could pull a few strings and provide you a head start.

What kind of test are you proposing?

Nothing too difficult, merely proof that you can do as you claim.

[She gestures for Rui to follow along.]

If I am left unimpressed, you will be left on your own from there on of course; I have projects of my own to maintain.

You won't be left unimpressed.

[Rui is sure of that. He follows after Satsuki easily.]

But if you are, that's fine. I haven't needed anyone to look after me for awhile.

[Satsuki smirks a little; consider her curiosity piqued even further. Though she also feels the need to clarify.]

Look after you? I'm not quite that generous. But I am willing to guide those I find worthy of my cause. In short, you could play a vital part in everyone one day returning home.

[Though her methods may go against Rui's philosophy.]

Independent? No family?

I have goals to achieve at home so that would suit me perfectly.

[Rui arched his eyebrow at the question.]

Not really. I live on my own. Fortunately my invention in GALAX keeps me rather comfortable.

As do I. A good number of us, perhaps, share the same issues.

[It's going to be quite a walk, but thankfully there is transportation to cut down time.]

You mentioned earlier that you could be referred to as 'LOAD'. Would you mind explaining that.

It's possible, hard to say though if we're not from the same Japan. How strange that is to say, but here I stand in some other world from my own so it must be possible.

[He exhales softly, thinking about it for a moment. He doesn't mind a long walk, despite how it might look uncomfortable in his heels.]

It's my handle. I go by LOAD online and since I do most of my work there, that's how people know me. The people I do communicate with also called me LOAD. It's probably easier.

I mean in the sense that we have urgent matters to attend at home. However there are also many that have become content with settling in Genessia for one reason or another.

Like a code name. I suppose it is the choice of word that truly puzzles me. Why not something like 'Creator'? or 'Headmaster'?

I can't imagine myself doing that.

[He seems to be thinking how best to explain it.]

I don't think there should be heroes. The way things are now, when someone gets power everything goes terribly. I'm often on the network myself and going by a title like that ordinary people might know who I am otherwise. I don't want people to think I'm better than they are, because I'm not. The thing about GALAX is that through the connectivity of social media most problems can be solved without anyone of authority. People by nature are goodhearted for the most part. It's a wonderful system.

[Satsuki frowns a little- She's almost envious of Rui's words, but it's more the disbelief that social media holds that kind of potential. It just.. Doesn't seem like reality.

Perhaps she'd understand better if she saw how the program worked with her own eyes.]

It is a shame I cannot see what your world is like.. It sounds like something very worth seeing. Perhaps it shall meet similar success in Nova City.

[It is a very complex system and he was continuously working on it, although X does most of he maintenance.]

It has really taken off as of late. Not quite everyone is using it, but the numbers are growing daily. The world is...

[He frowns a little.]

Corporations try to sneak things by consumers and politicians are corrupt. It's not that great on its own. I just think it can be done better.

[Idealistic? Maybe. Ever since he'd gotten his NOTE he's been on a mission and that was four years ago.]

Is that so.. An interesting goal, all the same.

And so your GALAX is the means of improving said corrupt systems.

[It isn't long before the city becomes increasingly busy around them once they walk far enough.]
