I am one of the terrible things."

Who: Cassian Lynch, Trahearne, Abel Nightroad, Tannusen (and possibly more, will add as needed)
What: Multiple threads involving the Quiet Minds event and its aftermath.
When: First thread is on Friday the 13th. Subsequent threads are anything from a few hours to over a week later.
Warnings: A LOT. Graphic violence and gore, on-screen character death and dismemberment, cannibalism, attempted sexual assault, mentions of past assault, and more angst in the aftermath than you can shake a tree at.

"Everglade.... reminds me of home, actually. It's very close to how I recall my own home being for the longest time. Fog and all." There's a soft, weak laugh attached to that. "I really should move out, there's no point in being stubborn and sticking around. I can't move the subgate though, and that is where I live there. If I could just pick up the entire thing and push it somewhere else, I'd do it in a heartbeat."

"Not wanting to leave what little bit of home you have here is understandable." Trahearne had considered a subgate before but what would it do him but make him miss those he couldn't return to more? "One would have to be quite capable to live there I imagine, even withen a subgate. It reminds me of a place a travelled a great deal in on my own world. I wouldn't call it like home, however."

"Understandable yes, but it doesn't stop it from being silly." He checked the pasta as he went on. "What place was this then? You don't sound terribly fond of it."

"Given that we're all trapped here, I wouldn't call it silly." Trahearne finally set the bowls down near the sink and turned to lean against the counter. All green and brown and glowing faintly even with the light on, Trahearne didn't look like a thing that belonged in a modern kitchen.
"I can't say I am fond of it, despite how much time I spent there. I doubt the name 'Orr' means anything to you. It's- was a corrupted land, though it is still plagued with hordes of undead. Not controllable or manageable undead." An important distinction when one was a necromancer. "I'm afraid I have trouble reacting calmly to Everglade's native undead. From what I've heard, it's not a safe place."
