[ Oh it's her again, the childlike, French vampire that hangs out in Castlevania with her little sister and a certain maid. ]
It is I, Remilia Scarlet, and I have a question! Would it be correct to assume that the current Guardian of Everglade isn't human?
[action]
[ Remilia has taken a moment to retire to her room for the privacy she feels she and Sakuya will need. There are things she wants to speak to the maid about, including the new laws put in place. While she has no intention of registering or anything like that, since she thinks she doesn't need it and doesn't trust the idea, she'll follow some laws when it suits her.

And now, she calls for Sakuya. ]

"You called for me, My Lady?" She straightened up, heels coming tightly together as she folded her hands over her apron.
no subject
"Indeed. Have you seen the announcement?"
no subject
no subject
"Sakuya... I want you to obey these laws."
no subject
"Since when did you have such high morals? And respect for humans and their laws?"
The question was out of line, but the outburst was not without reason, undoubtedly.
no subject
"You dare...! Children have always been off limits, as are the very old and the disabled!"
no subject
Sakuya's eyes were smoldering. "This and many other things you've never bothered to mention to me, and wouldn't have before you vanished some months back. You've changed and I can't help but feel that wasn't 'you' who left me behind. You are Remilia Scarlet, but you are not my lady."
Sakuya's hands were balled into trembling fists, nails digging into her palms. Remilia could undoubtedly smell the blood that had started to seep between her fingers.
no subject
"That can't... Sakuya!" Remilia slumps onto her knees... All she had here was Flandre, in the end...
no subject
"... I'm familiar with alternate universes and timelines. I suppose I was in denial up to this point. You are Lady Remilia. And I am your bound thrall. My fate is unraveled and woven back into your service. This I can feel, and so I know you truly are Lady Remilia. But you are not the one whose hands reshaped me as I am now."
Sakuya took a deep breath, looking somewhat relieved of her burden, though no less upset. "The Remilia before you came, though. That was My Lady. The one I swore fidelity to on bent knee. And she left me behind. I do not blame you nor her for this. And I will serve you as per my obligation but..."
She hesitated, the cold anger slowly melting. "Forgive me. I could not keep silent any longer. I cannot serve you the same as My Lady. Your expectations of me seem different. And I am still your maid."
on the bright side, she won't care who she dates?
"...I suppose I was in denial too. I... I am very close to Sakuya... the one I know." Though still, Sakuya would serve her even if she wasn't her Remilia...
"...It is better that we both know the truth."
Not much of a bright side.
Another pause. "Regardless, know that I am far from incompetent. As I said, I will serve you Lady Remilia. That is my duty. So please have more trust in me. Tell me what you want done and do not concern yourself so much with how I do it. I am as reliable as the Sakuya you knew."
She flinched slightly, the smell of blood becoming more potent as her fists unclenched, her right sporting several deep cuts on the palm. she stared for several moments as the blood pooled in her palm. Flicking her wrist, she produced a small teacup, tilting her hand and letting the crimson liquid flow into it. She would probably need some sort of healing magic.
"You have not answered my question, incidentally. Since when have you paid any mind to human laws, Lady Remilia?" Her tone was softer this time and she was no longer questioning the vampire's morals.
no subject
She sighs a little, watching the maid for a short while, trying to calm herself more. "Very well..."
And now she watches as Sakuya let her blood pool in her palm, and watch as she fills the cup with the vampire's favorite 'red tea' as she calls it. As for the injury... normally she bugs Patchy about it, but she isn't here...
"I only pay them mind when it suits me... But you've hurt yourself, Sakuya. Go get it seen to once you're done here."
no subject
Sakuya flexed her hand once and stepped forward, offering the blood raw. It certainly smelled like Sakuya's blood, and would no doubt taste the same. "I will... try to abide by your 'higher' morals, Lady Remilia. But if food is scarce I will not hesitate to turn my blades on a more defenseless target. Survival is more important than any law put into place."
A pause. "Besides, the people here are nothing more than hollow shells. Kill one and they return to life within days with no memory of the previous incident. Truth be told, why anyone cares to 'save' or 'protect' them is beyond me."
no subject
What happens should be very familiar, the vampire's eyes glowing a touch as she closes in, the familiar scent tugging at her instincts... She moves in. "Perhaps... but I am no beast."
She takes her hand, bringing it to her mouth where she licks at the wounds.
no subject
She remained still and quiet, fighting to keep her focus as the vampire's saliva took her pain and deadened her arm slightly. She didn't try to pull her hand back should she intend to take more, but, at the same time, she refused to lose her composure.
no subject
Remilia shivers a little, the thought going through her mind that the blood, the taste, everything about it was the same. She realizes she forgot the teacup, though, and let herself get carried away...
So she'll just stop and pull away sheepishly, releasing the maid. "Ah... pass me the cup, Sakuya."
no subject
She pulled her hand back, regaining the sliver of lost composure as she picked up the cup and offered it. This time, however, Sakuya offered an accompanied plate containing several bite-sized tarts.
no subject
Remi takes it, and notices the appearance of the plate of tarts in the corner of her eye..."Ah? Thank you, Sakuya."

[Not that she honestly cares either way.]
