[Lunafreya sits with her device in her hands, searching over the feeds until she comes across a term that she never heard of before. She nods to herself and turns on her own feed for aid.]

Could anyone explain to me the concept of a "Valentine's Day"? I have seen it mentioned.

Elrios has something similiar; basically it's a day for couples. I guess some try and pass around familial affection too. A bit overrated.

Anyway, you give a gift to someone you have romantic interest in. That's as simplified as it can be made.

I always forget people don't know this one. Okay so, it's like a day specifically designed for being the sappiest thing ever. It's a holiday to celebrate love in all forms. So like if you got somebody you kiss, you make it your business to be extra nice and buy them boxes shaped like hearts filled with confectionery nonsens and like a nice gift. Maybe a necklace or edible underpants, whatever. And then go out on a date and shit. If you just have friends, you can give them a card and like a smaller heart and hug them.

And if you got nobody maybe you go ahead and ask a crush out or sign up for a blind date and give love a chance or you say fuck it and buy yourself chocolates and sit in your pajamas all day and decide you're a single lady that ain't needin' none of this corporate holiday nonsense.

Certainly; I'll even go one better and delve into its history, too. [Whether she likes it or not.]

In the Middle Ages, it was seen that the birds--those wonderful, frivolous creatures--began to pair midway through the second month. That is, February 14th. Thus, it's been looked upon as a day specially consecrated to lovers. Those who choose each other under these auspices are called one another's 'Valentine', after a saint by the same name. Though that's more hagiography, if you care for it.

It's a holiday for lovers.

[So right now, something he once again has very little interest in.]

Some people call it a day that card makers and candy people use in order to make a lot more money.
