[ action | closed ] so I guess I’ll just believe it that tomorrow never knows
Who: Cassian Lynch and Tannusen
Where: Genessia City - Regency Apartments - Penthouse
When: Feb 13th
Warnings: discussion of past sexual trauma
Wanna see the fancy new apartment? Genessia, Pine and 9th - Regency Apartments, Penthouse
Tannusen didn't expect much of a response to his text to Cassian, of course. But things were quiet, and boring, and he knew he'd be busy tomorrow with Velvet Lust.
Plus, he had something he wanted to give him.
Plus plus... any excuse to poke at the guy, really.
Shit, it was almost like he liked him.
Depending on Cassian's response -- if there was one -- Tannusen figured he might end up heading over to the guy's subarchway with that gift. But for now, he stayed on the couch with his book, his phone within easy grabbing range.

Will arrive at noon
And so.... he did. There was no reason not to visit Tannusen, and hearing that the fae had finally found his own place here was rather nice.
In short order, at noon exactly, there was a rap on the door.
"Ye do somethin' to scare me, I'll knock yer head in, Tannusen."
no subject
The blond opened the door and stepped out of the way to let Cassian in. "What would I possibly do to do that? Damn, what a missed opportunity..."
That reply text had surprised him, but that in itself wasn't a surprise. And Cassian's punctuality wasn't a surprise at all.
no subject
"... Aye, tis a nice place ye've hunted down, haven't ye?"
no subject
Right on cue, one of said 'little cats' ran up to see the priest, the other walking up much slower. They'd had time to get used to at least half of Cassian before, after all, when he'd been stuck at the old apartment for several days.
no subject
"Tis a great deal of room for ye here, ye ain't gonna complain about a penthouse suite, are ye?"
no subject
Both little cats were hoes for attention, the slower one trotting to catch up as soon as he saw the other getting pets. Him, too! Tannusen watched this with some amusement, not having seen any earlier interactions. He'd been busy avoiding that half, after all.
"Want some tea? I put some oolong on a little bit ago," the blond moved on into the apartment proper, so that Cass wouldn't be stuck by the door. He went for the kitchen, which was... big. Of course it was. And yet Trahearne had to have cans of cold ravioli confiscated right out of his hands on any given day.
no subject
"No nae not ever, yer a right sufferin' saint, ye are." He finally stood once he'd had his fill of kitties, taking his tote and moving further inside.
"Of course, of course. And look at this a right proper kitchen too. Made it big now."
no subject
Cats.
Tannusen poured them both cups of steaming tea, and passed Cassian's over to him. "Yes, we're regular rock-stars now, with a big kitchen only I even vaguely use. At least it's easy to keep clean."
He just watched the other man for a moment, still a little dumbfounded by the situation. The whole situation, not just right now. It still simply refused to sink in properly. To him, Cassian was still so far out of his league it wasn't even funny. Tannusen took a drink of his tea to help cover his own shy silence.
"...Hey, I uh, have something for you," he finally said, and gestured over into the living room. "It's in the bag on the couch."
And indeed, there sat a black duffel bag, right in the middle of the couch. The better to transport its contents safely and unseen, whether by motorcycle or by foot.
no subject
He took the offered cup, taking a small sip from it before answering. "Tis a lovely apartment, Tannusen. But then, I liked your tree's house as well." And being easy to keep clean was always a benefit.
Keep thinking that, Tannusen, but one of them here is a five foot five asthmatic and one of them is a tan blond motorcycle enthusiast.
"Aye? Do ye now?" He picked his head up and away from the tea to glance at the bag. So he did. "I've got a thing for ye as well." Not nearly as big as the duffle bag, he nudged the tote a bit, before going to hand it over.
"Do I get a hint to what it is?"
no subject
The tiger blinked, and set his tea aside to take the tote and peer inside.
"A hint. Uh, it... barely could be shoved into the bag, and it's not a dick?" That was a good hint, right? Or maybe that was more of a disclaimer.
no subject
"... Tannusen, if that was a dick, I'd have to ask ye why it's in a bag and what on earth it came from." SHIT'S BIG, YO.
He goes to open it as Tannusen opens the offered tote.
IT IS... what appears to be a small box for a piece of jewelry, a plate of lumpy, but still distinctly tasty looking cookies wrapped in plastic, and a tightly wrapped scroll.
"Don't read that scroll. Tis filled with explodin' runes. Figured what with the antics ye get up to, ye'll need it one day."
no subject
Of course, his eyebrows went up when he opened the little box. "...You like it so you're putting a ring on it?"
TANNU.
no subject
This was a lot... different. It took a second for it to sink in, and for a moment, his expression softened into a warm, awkward smile-
And there it goes. Gone. TANNU.
"It's a charm. Think of it like the ultimate set of bright and shiny keys when some dimwit wants to harass ye about fairies. Or God."
Ted.
"Temporarily wipes the mind, distracts and silences for a good few minutes."
no subject
So... probably not a conversation that'd get very far.
God though, the fairies bit about made up for it.
He'd seen that brief smile, though. And had relaxed minutely. Getting someone a six foot long anything was kind of a gamble. If they liked it, great! If they didn't, it was six feet of obnoxious. "That's the only white tiger plush I could find with stripes that didn't offend me."
Tannusen finally stepped into the living room, privately amused at how the fake tiger almost dwarfed the guy. As for why he'd gotten him a tiger plush to begin with...
"I know you don't like sleeping alone, and I can't always be there. So, now you've got that, too."
no subject
Everyone in this city is a moron.
"It's lovely, Tannusen." He'd become quite interested in it too, taking the plush to a seat to get a better look at it because... yeah it's a bit big for him to just haul around. Tail included, it was a few good inches bigger than he was.
There was a thoughtful pause as Tannusen recalled that little fiasco, the smile appearing once more.
"... Aye. I see. Thank ye, Tannusen."
no subject
That smile was certainly an encouragement against Tannusen's perpetual shyness. It was funny, he could be so incredibly bold with a total stranger, including with Cassian when they'd first met. But the more he liked someone... the more difficult it got! The difference was that it actually meant something. And meaning? Meaning was some scary shit. It meant vulnerability, and risk, and everything else Tannusen tried to avoid.
But he drew closer, and reached to brush a bit of the priest's hair back with his fingers before leaning down to attempt a kiss on Cassian's cheek.
no subject
But ye should eat him."
Meanwhile... Cassian just seemed genuinely happy. It's not really a common look on his face, and for a moment it was almost enough to lessen the heavy lines under his eyes. Almost actually look like a real twenty six year old man for a moment.
The kiss was unexpected though, and he jumped, if only slightly, surprised as color bloomed across his face for a moment. No of course he wouldn't swat Tannusen away, but there was a quick, awkward wheeze as his brain attempted to get the rest of him to cooperate.
".... Thank ye."
no subject
His hand was already nearby from the earlier gesture, so Tannusen dared to set his palm against one blushing cheek. "I'd do that all the time if I could get away with it. It's almost like I like you, or something."
no subject
"For... yes. That." He fusses with the plush next.
"And this."
And well...
"And everythin' else so far." The general good feeling really was all Tannusen's fault.
"Aye, almost like we're seein' each other or somethin'."
no subject
Probably not the cheek, if he's asking.
no subject
Very content.
Ridiculous amounts of content.
There was a hesitation, but not due to having to actually ponder if he wanted it. He did.
"... Aye. Of course ye may."
no subject
no subject
Again, it wasn't like he didn't want it!
He just didn't know how to do anything.
After a point, there was an awkward, but earnest attempt to return it.
no subject
Tannusen's kissing itself was very patient, very leisurely. There was no rush, no pressure except of the literal variety. It took a while before he broke away from it, and even then only because he thought he might give into temptation to go too far if he didn't.
He offered Cassian a smile, still quite close. On his knees on the couch, he wasn't exactly just sitting next to him like any 'ol pal. "...I even like the way you taste."
no subject
It may have taken a while, but it still only felt like a moment before it was broken, the smaller man looking a touch dazed-
Not that this stopped the instant response of:
"Potatoes and beer your thing, is it?"
