[ Waking up for a second chance at life after you sacrificed yourself for the galaxy may sound good, but to Cassian Andor it mostly sounds too good to be true. There's always a catch, but sulking or getting angry in this very large, comfortable prison won't help him figure it out any sooner.

Thus, as soon as he has overcome the first shock of not being dead, it's time to get to work. Explore your surroundings, acquire gear, and most of all, search for signs of Rebel activity. Yet it's near impossible to find agents laying low here without revealing yourself first, and bound to be even more daunting in Nova City.

And thus, Captain Andor who has never been interested in art, can be caught spraying the orange Starbird symbol of the Rebel Alliance here and there in Genessia City and Nova City.

Or, for the rest of the multiverse, it's just a sour-faced man looking oddly misplaced engaging in sloppy graffiti. ]

[It's the orange symbols what catches Kay's attention. He wonders if the crew of the Ghost is in the city and starts looking for the sprays, trying to find a pattern or some clue about who might be the person making them. It's only by chance that he spots the man after an hour of looking around for the 'artist'. Kay stops in his tracks, back straightening because his optics can not widen to show his surprise.

He's been looking for a long time all around the different cities, he had hope that perhaps the rest of the Rogue One team made it here too. But for weeks it has only been Bodhi and him and now this almost doesn't feel real.

Cassian is here.

Cassian is here, and alive, and well. And maybe Kay's processor is failing and his optics are only showing him what he wants to see. After a few more minutes, the droid approaches him slowly, he knows Cassian isn't fond of people sneaking up on him. There' so much he wants to say, to ask, to do.]

[He'd felt that uneasy prickle of being watched, but with chances higher that it's by someone who isn't suspicious, but will get so if he acts suspiciously, Cassian finishes the symbol. It's an eyesore, but he is no artist.

Cassian turns at the first sound of footsteps, spray bottle ready to be thrown, and sorely regretting he's not managed to get a blaster yet.

He stares, thoughts grinding to a halt.]

[And at that, Kay's shoulders relax and slumps again. It's really his Cassian then, they were never good with normal pleasantries. Kay likes it this way.]

Very rude of me, I know. If it's of any consolation, I took like two dozen of bucketheads with me before that happened.

[Kay sounds so causal that it might seems he's merely talking about the weather and not his own death. His tone is more serious a moment later.] I didn't think I'd see you again. I'm glad to see you alive and well, Cassian Andor.

[Cassian's composed facade falters for a moment, betraying anguish beneath before he schools it back into neutrality. As he takes a few steps towards Kay he still feels unsteady, though he knows his gaut won't actually betray him.]

They fired on Scarif. [He presses his lips together.] But the plans made it out. We succeeded.

[He stops, tilts his head back to meet Kay's eyes.]

[It doesn't take a genius to figure out all the implications of that statement. He takes his own step towards Cassian to offer some comfort.]

Sometimes, I have being right about my calculations. Oh! Bodhi Rook is in the city too, we arrived here at the same time.

[Perhaps a little while afterward, Bodhi was out and about. He had mostly been keeping to himself, still nervous about being here even with K-2SO around for some sort of company. But he was walking today, looking to see what was around - and up ahead... No, couldn't be. A familiar figure. Uncertain, he stepped closer, uttering a short, soft word.]

Hey.

[If it wasn't who he thought it was then maybe it could be taken as just a casual greeting as somebody passed them by.]

[They are close enough thst he could just place his hand on Kay's chest. He doesn't, content to let their proximity seep into him and chase away the anxiety of being here alone, almost hopeless to find the ones he was truly seeking for.]

Bodhi is here, too?! I did not... [He should have asked first. Getting distracted by the joy of reunion. Sloppy work Andor.] What about Jyn? And the guardians? Did any of my Pathfinders... [He trails off. Kay spoke of Bodhi. Only Bodhi.] They might be late, too.

[Cassian turned to him, less startled by this miraculous reunion, but finding himself a little bit wary still on principle alone. After all he had yet to believe this was more than an elaborate imperial prison.]

I was told you had survived... of a sort. I'm glad to see it is true.

[Kylo Ren noticed the symbol before he saw the man making it. He knew what it was at once and it brought a frown to his face. He didn't have his helmet here so that expression could clearly be seen as he stared at the graffiti before glancing to the artist.]

What is the meaning of this?

[His tone was clearly a demand as to why Cassian was doing that and not mere curiosity about the symbol's meaning.]

[He looks confused for a moment before he gives a smile.]

[The bounty hunter had an eye out for trouble. Troublemakers could be profitable if they were wanted and he brought them in. The symbol was not a familiar one to him so that provoked no reaction in itself. Cad Bane was more interested in the man making the artwork. Now was this commissioned or was it vandalism? Not that he cared overly much unless somebody complained enough to put a bounty out on the perpetrator - but maybe more information could prove insightful.]

[An innocent remark in itself - the reaction to it was what was important, Bane thought.]

[Kay wouldn't mind the touch but this is good enough. He never thought he would see Cassian again. Kay actually hasn't expecting nothing after he realized he was going to die.]

Yes, they are late. Knowing Jyn Erso she might be somewhere, getting into a barfight. We will have to wait for them to come here. [He's used to be the bearer of bad news but this time it upsets him too.]

The Empire build the Death Start twice and it was destroyed again in the same way as the first one. I know because there's an imperial in the city but he uses a different name.

[He sized up the stranger. Friend or foe? Hard to say just yet but he did seem to know the meaning of the symbol. Maybe he should have stuck to his first idea and sent out an anonymous message as Fulcrum to the entire network.]

It is art. I'm following a whimsy. [So much wasn't even a lie. That hadn't been a good plan, just a desperate one.]

*Sonico was going about her usual day - a trip to a coffee shop, a trip to the library, nothing out of the ordinary. What was strange, though, was this man who was spray a wall with orange paint. Sonico stands nearby, but gets gradually closer, eventually standing just behind him, tilting her head at the design*

I'm not sure yet if it's a good thing.

[He looks around, subconsciously searching for a sign of cameras or surveillance droids.]

Death can be preferable to some kinds of imprisonment, but this one seems to be harmless for now.

Of course there's an imperial in the city... I would bet there is more than one, surveillance isn't the same as feet on the ground.

[Cassian hesitates. Time to bring up the obvious or not? Maybe not here, if things turn sour this is a bad place for a fight. He subtly inspects him. Every familiar scratch looks like K-2SO, but...]

[Hm. Disapprovement. That doesn't bode well. Figures he would run into someone who takes offense before he gets a blaster.]

[Definitely should have gone for the text message. At least this person seems to be taking more offense to his art skills, admittedly atrocious, than the symbol. But he's also a sentient of his own galaxy. Mixed bag, there.

Cassian lowers the bottle, careful not to move hastily like someone trying to hide it, and gives the man a bland look.]

I don't consider myself much of one, but it will do.

[Kay wasn't exactly happy.] There's another man that when by the name of General Hux but I haven't seen him in a while. I'm not sure if he's in the city any more.

[He tilts his head, optics moving. He's not sure if the Captain is checking him for damage or any signs of that his programming might have been hacked.]

[He lowers the bottle, and regards her calmly, exactly like someone who should be doing that.]

Actually, yes. This is necessary. Is this your house?

[Cassian's brows rise slightly.] Hux... I have heard that name before, Brendol Hux. But if I'm not mistaken he is a Commandant. I didn't expect us to be personally honored with the presence of an alleged General. Interesting.

[His softens slightly, and he heaves another sigh. He finally reaches out and places his hand against Kay's chest plate.]

I have missed you, too.

[He just isn't convinced it's you.]

Perhaps something happened and his rank changed. He wore an emblem but it didn't like like the one on my shoulders.

[The droids leans forward slightly, into his touch. Kay doesn't have that problem, if only because he's been hoping to see Cassian again.]

I kept wondering what must have happened to you and Jyn. Bodhi didn't know, he only remembered a bright light. But you got the plans across and that changed the course of the war, the mission was successful. [At a high cost, but It was worth dying for.] Did you just arrive to the city? I woke up on the bay at first, I'm still cleaning sand from my joints.

[Cassian grinds his teeth together That... that sounds so like the K-2SO he reprogrammed with his own hands. But letting yourself hope is dangerous.]

I'm sorry, Kay, that sounds awful. [His voice is far gentler than it normally would be with such complaints.]

I woke up at the beach, too. I found my assigned barracks, and immediately started familiarizing myself with this prison, and tracking down allies. These have been my priorities. Now that I have found you I can proceed to secondary objectives.
