Who: Whitley Schnee and Koishi Komeiji
Where: starting at the Schnee Company office in Genessia City, going... wherever the hell Koishi decides
What: Whitley has actively avoided a responsibility he sees as beneath him; Koishi comes to collect her reward.
Warnings: Indignity and absurdity!
===========
Even now, Whitley can't believe someone had the gall - the nerve! to sign him up for a date auction without so much as pretending to ask him for permission, or even running the idea past him. Is this how people behaved in this world? Acting on whims without consequence, making others suffer freely for no discernable reason?
Rubbish. Utter rubbish. He would have to see to it that meddlers and troublemakers were cracked down on a little more harshly, but it would be some time until he had the real pull it would take to start enforcing policies. All in due time, all in due time.
For now, he's burying himself in his work, seated in his office as he pores through a spreadsheet of expenses, trying to figure out which corners can be cut and where funds would be better allocated. It's work that many would find tedious, but it's almost like a treasure hunt to him, and he's totally engrossed in the task at hand. If anything important happens he'll get notified on his device or get a call from the front desk, so surely nothing unexpected would occur out of the blue, right?

Right?

And thus, it wouldn't take long for Whitley to notice some strange happenings. His pen going missing. Things on his desk moving around. Even random keys being pressed without him pressing them! He wouldn't be able to work like this! Until-
"Hello there! Can you see me?" ARGH! Something was under his desk! And its eyes were glowing. "I won you. Why are you here? Don't you want to go have fun?"
There is no escaping the Koiball.

"Woah!"
He pushes his chair back and away from the desk so hard that he nearly knocks himself over, stumbling to his feet in a rarely undignified moment. Even as he remains unsettled his professional facade makes its way back onto his face, though it does nothing to hide his agitation.
"You did not acquire permission to enter my office."

Koishi's third eye swayed merrily from side to side, the artery over her left shoulder looping into a heart-shape. "I have all sorts of fun things planned! You looked so grumpy and so I decided that 'there's someone who must need cheering up' and also the nice lady in pink said I should." Now she was just babbling.
"Also, I got you a present! It's still under your desk though..." Sure enough there was a box wrapped in brown paper there. "I'm not good at wrapping things though. But I hope you like it! The auction man said what you wanted but I also asked sis what you might like. So there are two things."

A slow breath, in through the nostrils and out through the mouth. A Schnee doesn't falter in the face of absurdity.
"My... apologies, for the mishap. I'll have to make sure my receptionist buzzes me properly next time, but in the future please knock before entering." His tone is crisp, practiced and polite as he clasps his hands behind his back, chewing on the inside of his cheek for a moment as he tries to decide how best to tackle this scenario.
"Before I accept your... erm, gifts, I would like to ask who you are referring to when you speak of the 'nice lady in pink'?"

Koishi zipped down under the desk again and popped out with the brown package, floating back up to eye level. "Umm... I don't remember her name. I'm not good with names." And she held out the package. It was reasonably heavy.
"Oh! I almost forgot! My name is Koishi Komeiji. I'm a satori youkai. A youkai is a spirit monster demon thing and satori are carnivorous and live in the mountains. We're also psychic, but I can't read minds anymore so you don't have to be scared, okay?" Well, that was a lot of information.
Inside the package he'd find... a pair of Uggs. Great. They looked comfy at least? And black went with everything? next to the boots he'd also find a tanto, the blade made of a very heavy reddish metal and the sheath and handle carved out of what looked to be a single massive bone.
"The auction man mentioned the shoes so I found some. And I know your sister fights a lot but I've never seen you with a weapon so I thought I would give you one just in case. It's made of hell metal so it resists magic and fire and wont go dull. There's a whole bunch of swords like that in Chireiden but I had to get it cleaned up since it was so old."
She never stopped talking...
