Who: K-Bodhi Rook, Cassian Andor and K-2SO
Where: Kay's apartment
When: Afternoon-ish?
What: R1 Team bonding shenanigans
Warnings: N/A
[It's about time they had a little group talk. Kay hasn't seen Bodhi for a while and Cassian as been in the city for a few days as well. it made the droid anxious not to know of his team-mates hereabouts, lest they were getting themselves in trouble or almost killed. Kay's kitten, Fest, meowed at him loudly when he pulled the tray of snacks away from her.]
Those are not for cats. [The cat only meowed more pitiful and Kay gave in, tossing her a small piece of cheese.]

Bodhi Rook, you are the first one to arrive. Make yourself at home, please don't step on the cat.
no subject
You might want to watch out for the cat, actually, it doesn't like strangers, and it has sharp claws for something so small. [He sizes Bodhi up, automatically looking for signs of stress or ill health that could have made him keep to himself. Because he needs his team functional, not because he's concerned how he is coping with dying and coming back, of course.]
no subject
[He skirts carefully around the cat as he steps inside, his head turning anxiously as another figure comes in with him. He's relieved to see that its Cassian.]
Hey, good to see you again. I'll try to keep out of its way.
[All these warnings about the cat... Bodhi looks fine apart from being obviously nervous and on edge.]
no subject
[Kay gives the Captain a head tilt but holds the door open for him. Fest, either to spite Cassian or to prove Kay's point, rubs herself against Bodhi's pant leg and mewls softly. Ain't she adorable?]
Are you hungry? I got food. And before any of you look worried, I bought it, I didn't make it myself.
no subject
[ He turns to Kay, eyeing him suspiciously. ] I am hungry, but... Actually, yes. Show us what you got.[ If it's awful, they can at least get it over with. ] Hopefully no white milk, I still can't believe their milk is the wrong color. It looks disgusting.
no subject
She's not so bad...
[He may also have a softer manner that the cat can sense.]
And food sounds good.
no subject
She's not bad at all. But don't giver her more food even if she begs, she has her own.
[Int he livingroom, there's a comfortable looking couch next to some chairs that came with the flat, around a table filled with all sort of food. Kay can't eat himself and he's not sure what exactly Bodhi likes to have, so there's quite the variety: salad, chips, cheese, small pastries, cupcakes, fruit, something that looks like parfait...no one can't say that the droid's not an attentive host.]
The cat likes the white milk well enough but I can't really tell if it tastes differently than the Bantha one.
no subject
Cassian follows Bodhi into the living room, and gapes at the large selection of food.]
That looks all... edible? [It's aimed at Bodhi, and sounds more surprised than would be strictly polite.] I think we are set for today and tomorrow, too. That's a lot of food.
no subject
You maybe got a little too much, unless you're expecting more visitors.
[His words are to Kay as he picks up a pastry and tries it.]
no subject
Everything is edible. And no I'm not expecting anyone else but you could take with you some of the food, I won't be eating it. [He get used to having food in the fridge, though, in case Cassian crashes in his place.]
no subject
[He picks up a cupcake, focusing on Bodhi again.] Speaking of status, what is yours? Do you have an apartment and a job? [He's not quite sure what a pilot would want to do in a place without space ships. They're probably all a little lost.]
no subject
[He says about the food before answering to the latter.]
I... Yes. I moved in just two doors down the hall and I got a job in the planetarium.
[He'd indeed felt lost without any option for piloting but he could still at least work with space, in a way.]
no subject
You could both also come to eat here from time to time. I'm fine with any option. [And ey, making the meeting a somewhat regular things could be good for the whole team. To both catch up on what the others are doing and to make sure they're okay.]
A planetarium? What do you do there?
[Bodhi might find the cat at his feet now, Fest meowing and tugging at his pant leg for some food.]
no subject
[ He wants to keep an eye on them, he's still responsible for his team, that's all, right? ]
A planetarium job... That's a good choice. [ As close to the stars as you could come, huh, Bodhi? ]
no subject
[He gives a sheepish smile and shrugs.]
I mostly make sure everything keeps working the way it should. Make sure the displays are all running and everything stays in working order. When it's quiet I can watch the presentations for myself. The... star systems they talk about are different but it's good to learn about.
[Then he's distracted.]
Uhm... Your.. cat... I think it wants something.
no subject
Sounds like an entertaining job, I should visit the planetarium one day. I work in a Casino as security but I won't give you more details, Cassian already laughed at me for it.
You think so, Bodhi? How observant. [If Kay had eyebrows, he would be lifting them at the obvious statement. Fest, meanwhile only meowls more pitiful.] Ignore her, she has her own food.
no subject
That's important work you are doing, then, and the chance to learn new things is always good. Maybe you'll be able to report something useful to us.
The cat is forever hungry, though I know for a fact that Kay has been feeding it... [ His lips twitch. ] And speaking of him, you should get him to show you his work clothes. I did laugh.
no subject
[Maybe it wasn't as important as some jobs but so far he'd been finding it a nice change from the stress and danger they'd recently been through. He wasn't a fighter. He'd tried to be brave and do the right thing but doing that all the time would be unnerving. He could respect those who joined the rebellion and made it their duty every day to fight.]
[He tried to ignore the cat's persistence and glanced to Kay.]
They make you wear clothes?
no subject
We will visit. [He's curious now and it would be nice to see Bodhi working in a relaxed environment. Kay almost doesn't think such thing is possible. He reaches out and grabs Fest with a hand, cradling her to his chest so she stops being a nuisance.]
Uh...yes but not really. There's a uniform but it's a hologram. They don't make clothes of my since. [Kay's head snaps to the side, looking at Cassian in a way that conveys offence.] That was really rude of you.
no subject
And yes, we'll visit the planetarium soon. I'd like to take a look at the star constellations here. [ He lets a heartbeat pass. ] And your workplace, too. It'd be nice if you could show us around. [ This whole being encouraging to people thing is still kind of hard to remember, but he's trying. ]
no subject
[There's an awkward pause before he takes some more food, glancing at Cassian then Kay and back again.]
no subject
Do you really want to see my uniform, Bodhi.
no subject
What do you think, would you agree that he's rude?
[No shame about pulling other people into their quarrel, no shame whatsoever.]
no subject
I... guess you can be a little... um... blunt at times.
[He directs that at Kay, then adds, maybe trying to deflect the comment.]
And you can show me what you have to wear, sure.
no subject
I'm sincere, there's a difference. [Kay shoots Cassian a glare before he turns to Bodhi.]
Fine but you can't laugh. [The droid clicks the round and flat metal piece located in his wrist. Almost immediately, the device creates a holographic projection, making it look like he's wearing a suit.
no subject
It look better on you than the Imperial symbol, I'll give you that.
[He gives Bodhi a look.]
Do you have to wear a uniform, too?
no subject
It looks... nice. Yes, nice.
[He glances to Cassian at the question and nods.]
Yes, it's like a navy blue jumpsuit with the logo of the Planetarium on it.
[It's not far removed from his Empire uniform besides colour and insignia.]
no subject
Sounds comfortable enough. I have yet to see Cassian's work uniform. And did any of you figures out any kind of information about the barriers? I know some people are investigating them but no one seems to be doing any advances.
