Hello! It looks like everyone got these eggs yesterday, but so many of you don't know how to properly care for them! You can't kick your egg, you can't put it in a fridge, and you definitely cannot drop it out a window. You have to treat it with love! These poor things have been separated from their mommies, so it's up to us to keep them safe and warm. Wrap them in a blanket, keep them on your lap, or sit on them like a chicken does. It also might help to talk to it and give it little kisses so it knows that it's still loved, right, Little Egg?

[She pecks the top of her egg and rubs her cheek against it, giggling lightly.]

Now I know that some of you are really busy with work, and you're worried that you won't be able to care for your egg properly. So if you need it, I'm willing to come check on your eggs while you're away to make sure that they're getting all the love and attention that they need to stay healthy.

If you have any questions about caring for your egg at all, please let me know! These babies are counting on us to keep them safe, and we can't let them down!

I wouldn't! I wouldn't cook an egg that hasn't been proven safe for human consumption. But my partner tried to make me breakfast.

That was nice of him! Maybe they didn't realize that it's alive. I know sometimes people get confused in the morning.

Hmmm... well they're pretty big so maybe a cockatrice? We have lots of them back home.

A cockatrice is a giant bird, like the size of people. They have a long beak and a big bushy tail. They're a type of monster but I'm sure if we raise them they'll be friendly!

What if they're vicious Alienz or Predatorz style eggs and as soon as they hatch we're all going to be food and nesting material?

They won't attack us! They're going to just be little babies that will need us to feed them. And if we love them and take care of them then they'll love us too much to ever hurt us, even when they grow big.

Nope! I just know that if we treat them well and raise them right with a loving heart that they won't be bad!

I get that it's all in how they're raised, but... all creatures are gonna have a primal instinct.

We could raise tigers with all the love in the world, but that doesn't guarantee we won't get mauled, y'know?

Sure it does! Back home my friend Lloyd had this really big dog we used to ride around sometimes that lots of people were afraid of, but Noishe would never hurt us because he loved us too much. The same can happen with these little guys if we just raise them right.

Some eggs can be put in the fridge though. I mean eggs are part of peoples breakfasts after all.

[She gets she means these ones though, they could make a huge omelette or something, but she didn't want to do that anyway. She made hers cute. You can;t do that to something that's cute.]

I have mine wrapped up in a blanket though, but can't eggs get too hot?

You can only put eggs for eating in the fridge; these ones are going to hatch, so we have to keep them warm!

[She frowns. She hadn't considered that.]

Maybe? Chickens always sit on their eggs though... I think as long as you don't let it get too hot it should be okay, so don't keep it on a heater or in an oven.

[Of course, Colette's far from an expert on the subject, but she really hopes she's not wrong.]

Nope! I just know they have to stay warm and lots of people here seem to be accidentally almost breaking them.

True, eggs usually do minus those that we eat. But these are not normal chicken eggs, so they might need different temperature to be the right kind of warm.
