Never could figure out the difference between robes and a skirt, though. Other'n one being all fancy-fancy an' dumb and the other making a real good target for a torching.

I'm pretty sure humans wear pants both for modesty and protection. You don't want to leave certain things open to the dangers of the elements.

That said, I don't see the appeal. [But he's made of durasteel, he doesn't need protection.]

...I don't know how humans choose their apparel, but in Sornieth, dragons either wear apparel to look pretty, or they choose apparel that reflects who they are.

I see. There aren't too many dragons that I've seen wearing pants, but they do seem to provide better warmth and protection than robes do.

I've worn all sorts of clothing but formal dress seems to be my preference.

It is usually a dress one would wear on formal occasions. You would wear to a play or an interview.
