[A skull-like being appears on the network - but no, it's not a human skull and it isn't the creature's actual head. Instead it is some sort of mask, through which yellow eyes glare angrily. These are the only part that looks to be truly alive, however. Much of the rest of his body is hidden by a cloak wrapped around his shoulders, but what other parts that can be seen are robotic, yet skeletal - including a claw-like hand currently clutched into a fist. Some may be able to tell he's some sort of alien cyborg. His metallic voice is harsh.]

Where are these so-called City Guardians and your military operations?

Your explanations are not satisfactory. It was a mistake to bring me here and I demand that you return me to my ship at once.

There are always wars. If not this one, then another.

[That just gets a shrug.]

Perhaps. But that's what the Guardians are here for. Things are generally peaceful here, but should trouble arise, we put a stop to it.

Are you the only protectors of the city?

Hardly. Which city has an official Guardian, along with some deputies to assist them. Even without the title, there are many others who stand up to the threats that arise.

[He makes a thoughtful 'hmm' sound that almost sounds like a low growl. After a moment, he introduces himself.]

I am General Grievous.

[Karla bows her head again.]

General Grievous. It's nice to meet you.

Tell me more about these potential threats. Are they Jedi?

"Jedi...?" That's not a term I'm familiar with...

As for potential threats...we don't really know that either. Many strange things happen unexpectedly, and we deal with it as it pops up. Hmm...

[She pauses as she tries to think of a potential threat that she's seen recently. Freeza comes to mind, but she hasn't heard from him in a while. And Battler...she really don't know what to think of him anymore.]

Hmm...there was a woman who had announced that she was going to attack one of the cities. She hasn't done so yet, nor has she given any specific details on her upcoming attack. We're just keeping an eye out...

What sort of woman? Has she some sort of power that you should fear her?

I don't know. I know nothing about her. She may have been bluffing, for all I know...but it's safer to assume that she's not...

So there are threats but no impending, ongoing attacks.

[It was strange to think of no constant fighting nor wars going on.]

...I have seen my fair share of people who try to announce ownership of this world, or otherwise imply some sort of impending attack upon their arrival. It's...quite redundant, really.

So you're saying that nobody has yet succeeded.

Exactly. Trying to force one's way into power just does not work. So I don't understand why people keep trying.

[She gives a bit of a proud smile. She's proud of all they've overcome in her time here.]

Maybe because there are new arrivals that have been kidnapped? You have to expect resistance from all but the most weak minded.

Um...when someone is kidnapped, they usually look for ways to escape, not try to claim the place they're taken to as their own.

Sometimes the best way to fight is to tackle the enemy head-on.

...You do realize that we are not the enemy, do you not? I thought we had already established that.

Maybe you are not the enemy but somebody is. The nameless ones who brought me here. They are cowards to not show their faces to me.

They haven't really shown their faces to anyone. If you try to get their attention...well...you'll be at it for a long while.

How long have the people been trapped here?

I'm not sure how long this has been happening, but I've been here for about three years myself...

That doesn't sound very promising.
