[There's very definitely a new face on the network this evening! It looks like she's still in the bay area, so it's unlikely she's had a chance to check out the brochures and whatnot yes. Mirai has so many questions right now it isn't funny. Nothing about her current situation is funny!]

Help!

W-what are these things?

[She keeps backing up slowly as she turns the camera around to show off an Eevee and Mawile.]

Why won't they stop following me? Are they dangerous?

[...that's probably a dumb question. Neither of them have attacked her yet.]

And where am I?

[A dark haired girl with pig-tails stares curiously at the panicked girl. There are a lot of books behind her and wherever she is at is very quiet.]

Hey, name's Anise Tatlin. To answer, I think those are called pokemon if I remember correctly? As for if they're dangerous, I think they're fine as long as you don't provoke them? Since they're following you, I'm going to guess they like you a little~

[She then tapped a pin gently against her cheek.]

As for where you're at, you're in Genessia.

[Books are good. Unfortunately, she doesn't have time to try and see if she recognizes any of the titles or anything.]

...Pokémon? [That doesn't sound familiar. Mirai pauses for a moment, staring at the two creatures that're following her.]

Are they some kind of Youmu?

[No, she's not going to elaborate.]

I've never heard of Genessia before.

What exactly is a youmu?

[Anise looks a little confused over the term before giving her a brief explanation.]

Really it's a place you never hear of until you get here...But it's a home for a long as necessary...But we all woke up in the bay where you did, you should have a necklace and some red paper? Don't lose that and you have temporary housing here in the city called The Commons. So make yourself at home and find a job so you can afford to move out in a month.

They're... [She pauses for a moment. They're not easy to explain, considering the term covers a wide variety of odd creatures.]

They're like monsters. Most of them are dangerous.

[That's probably the best way to put it for now.]

W-wait, I only have a month to find a job?!

I don't think they are really considered dangerous unless provoked...

You do have only a month...But if you're good with office work I could strike you a deal~

These don't seem very dangerous.

[Actually, one of them is pretty cute.]

[ She can't get rid of her Slowpoke, but this is her third Pokemon rodeo so she doesn't look remotely confused. Just concerned about the thing yawning at her wall in the video behind her.. ]

You're in Genessia. It's a different world than your own, but as far as safety goes in a kidnapping? You're likely to be OK. Make sure you read the pamphlet and I'd recommend heading to the Bay's entrance, where there's a hologram that'll explain in more detail.

[The egg kinda fell out of the pod when she woke up and it hatched right then and there. Needless to say she was surprised.]

There's nothing okay about being kidnapped! [But even so, she's going to take the advice and dig up what info is available nearby.]

They're called Pokemon and they're not harmful to you as long as you don't mistreat them. They're probably following you because they recognize you as their master. Try giving them a command and praising them when they do it.

[ She rolls her eyes at the response, but manages to compose herself before she responds so that it doesn't come off too irritated. She's been having a trying day, sorry. ]

I didn't say it was okay, I said it was relatively safe and that you're going to be OK. Which you are, as are most people here.

[ Mostly. Eventually. ]

So they're like pets? I've never had pets before! This is too much to deal with right now!

[Not only did she just get tossed into another world, but she's expected to take care of baby animals now too? This is extremely unpleasant. Even if the Pokémon are pretty cute.]

You'll get used to it. I've been here for three years and I'm one of the City Guardians, I'm sure.

[ She better be sure, it's her job to keep people safe. At least in Nova City, though she won't hesitate to save someone elsewhere if they need it. ]

[She cuts off. WAIT A SECOND.]

Three years?! I can't be here that long!

Time won't pass back home, so you won't miss anything and no one will miss you as far as we can tell.

"Hey Miss!" Woah! When did this person get there? She hadn't been there before, had she? And she had a distinct aura about her... Also, she was floating?!

"Oh good! You can see me now. Hello there!" Koishi had shown up where she usually does. In the area surrounding the bay. "You're new right? I've never felt your mind before. Welcome! My name is Koishi Komeiji! I'm a satori youkai! But you don't have to be scared. I can't read minds anymore."

She reached out without permission to vigorously shake the cute dork's hand, her third eye floating up and swaying merrily from side to side. The artery over her left shoulder had looped itself into a loose heart. Wow this was a friendly monster...

"Your hair is the same color of pink as my sister's. It's a lovely color and I really like it!"

[The floating definitely gives away that this new girl isn't human, despite her...mostly humanoid appearance. Koishi definitely has her attention, although not necessarily in a good way. Mirai was already feeling pretty on-guard as it was, and the sudden presence of what seems to be a Youmu is not helping.

Most of what Koishi just said more or less went right over her head as she tried to figure out the best way to combat this potential threat to herself and the baby...'pokémon' that kept following her.

As the creature reaches out towards her, Mirai practically jumps back, tearing the bandages off her hand in the process. With a little motion of her hand, a little crimson droplet blossoms out into a solid blade, which she holds out in front of her defensively.]

Stay back!

Koishi blinked and drifted back, holding her hands up defensively and to show that she was unarmed. "Please don't be scared miss. I wanted to shake your hand. That's what you humans do as a greeting, right?"

She cautiously drifted forward, tilting her head to one side, but she didn't hold her hand out again. "That's a neat power you have. A nice bat lady can use blood like that too. Well, not exactly like that. But she uses blood magic. It's really pretty. But I've never met a human who could do it!"

She wasn't inclined to start a fight at the moment. Her muscles were still very sore from being stuck in the Kamui.

[Well, that's a good start. Mirai doesn't lower her guard yet, though. Even though Koishi doesn't appear to mean her any ill will at the moment. She's very on-edge thanks to her current predicament.]

You're not human. [Clearly. She tenses up a little at the mention of blood magic. Her abilities were supposed to be the last of their kind.]

W-what're you talking about?

"Well, she's a vampire! Of course she's going to use blood magic!" Koishi was absolutely beaming, though still a little wary of that sword. "But don't worry too much about that. I'm here to welcome you because you're here in Genessia now and I'm here to say hi! So welcome!"

Clearly Koishi had no sense of danger, despite the big sword pointed at her. "You woke up just like everyone else. And now you're here too." She straightened her hat. "If you're hungry I can buy you some food. There's a lot of little food carts nearby. I like to help people out when they arrive because its scary to be here."

She tilted her head the other way. "Oh. Here, I'll show you." And rummaged with the collar of her shirt, pulling out a pendant with a green stone. "See? Everyone that woke up has one of these. You have one too."

[That doesn't necessarily make a whole lot of sense. Not to Mirai, anyway. She lowers her sword, before calling her blood back into her body. There doesn't seem to be any threat at the moment. She hopes she's right, anyway.]

This is unpleasant. [She shouldn't be here. She shouldn't be responsible for a handful of baby creatures, either. The mention of food does get her stomach to growl, but she tries to ignore it.]

I have one. What about it? Do they mean something special?

They hatched from eggs and seem attached to whoever they see first... Kind of like... ducks is it?

[Kobato literally has no idea.]

I didn't have any eggs before I showed up here though!

[Honestly, she should probably be more worried about where she is. But maybe this will keep her from outright panicking for now.]

B-but I've never kept ducks before! I don't know how to care for them.

Nor did I, but poof this egg appeared not long after I arrived. it was strange.

Well they live in ponds...so plenty of water.

Mine sort of hatched just as I was getting out of that weird pod thing. It was really unpleasant.

Does that apply to these things? They don't seem to mind the water, but I don't think they belong in it.

That's an odd thing to wake up to.

[She paused again.]

I think so, I mean mine seem to really, really like water. [Considering they are water types and are a penguin and a seal.]

Very.

[She's just glad that the little things aren't dangerous. One of them is cute and fluffy...the other one? She's not quite sure what to make of it yet.]

I should probably find someplace warm to bring them.
