[9th artes:] Ice, ice baby
[There's a video of Jade in a school yard playground. There are kids around still playing, waiting to be picked up by their parents.]
"Hello everyone, I just got off from work teaching the children. I want to show you what hatched from my egg a few days ago. When I first got it, it's very, very cold and I tried to keep it warm, but to no avail. I thought it was a goner, but I kept it anyway, thinking it would hatch someday...and it did."
[In the video, on screen, Jade shifted his phone to an ice cream cone shaped pokemon. Her body is made of ice, the head shaped in an ice cream scoope swirl, and well...it's an ice cream cone. What's there to be said? It's a Vanillite! The ice pokemon levitate around, playing with the swings, the merry go round, and she keeps saying "Vanillite" a lot for speech.]
"It turned out that wasn't the case as it seems this one is naturally made out of ice itself and it's her special ability. Unfortunately, she accidentally turned everything into ice by just breathing on it, including testing her powers on my furniture. I was wondering if I should name her Vanilla Ice?"

But then again, if someone asks one its name, isn't it wonderful for it to respond fully and correctly?
And so many have such clever [to him] and witty portmanteau's to begin with; they seem named by men already, don't you think?

These creatures, they're not capable of human speech do they? But she seems to understand what I'm saying. She felt bad when she freeze a portion of my couch into hard ice and I chide her not to do it again.

One knows English, but he's not much for humanity. The rest can say but one thing, as well as a variety of grunts and laughs. Otherwise, yes, they listen--er, can listen just fine.
Aha, well, it has the capacity for guilt! Wonderful; something you've no doubt learn to instill in your teaching career.

I don't think she appreciates being touched or be a source of emergency afternoon snack! You see, I discovered the snowy part of her head, if I pet it, her head melts from heat and the professor...ah what is his name again? Professor Sycamore, he recommends I should take her to the mountains. I believe there is some cold mountains in Fayren I recall?
I scold teenagers most of my life. I believe that is easy. It's the listening that is the hard part.
[With a thought.]
Have you met Luke, Sync, and Anise by the way? We came from the same world and live in the same house. Though I pay most for the montage, so I usually see them in the morning and then they're off for the rest of day.

Yes, Fayren has mountains! Just mind yourself, lest you stumble upon a Youkai or something equally, fantastically hazardous.
Ha, sounds like trying work. Thankfully I'm too old for teenage scolding. [Adult scolding, on the other hand...]
Anise? Yes, I met her upon arrival. I suggested she be a mascot, but it didn't take. I hope she's safe.
Luke? Ah, same situation, though our conversation was very curt.
Sync, yes, I work with him on occasion. Decent young man. [He sounds a touch deeper at that last one.]

I haven't been to Fayren in a long while, so I do remember there some monsters roaming in the forest.
Anise lives in my house, so I always see her come and go. Same for Luke. Ah, as for Sync, that's good to hear. He's...he's one that doesn't see the bright side of life. Very pessimistic child. If you ever see him, cheer him up. He's a bit of a fatalist. That's one of the reason he wears the mask, even inside and outside of the house.
[This is Jade being subtle about Sync being a clone child. Luke too.]

[He knows all about Sync's tragic circumstances; not the part "The Necromancer" played in fomicry, though.]
[Video]
[Anise was unfortunately very familiar with the pokemon since several eggs hatched last night in their house to cause chaos. In fact, she looked pretty tired conversing with him at the moment.]

[Yeeeep. Thankfully the house has not turn into an igloo yet.]
video;
[She hat'es cute things okay? Sure at least these cute things can fight, but it's still horrible.]
video;
All the more reason as to me being curious of its origin of DNA of this particular species. Until then, I don't mind.

Well, before you call someone gross or a monster, at the very least, I would try to figure what make them look that way. In this case, for Vanillite, her ancestors must adapt their entire body and DNA structure to survive a cold harsh tundra climate, as their environment and home originate in the mountains for her ice cream cone look.
[C'mon Icy, Jade is a scientific guy.]
