[ Well the weather may not be as ideal as Lucy would have wanted it, cloudy and all, BUT it wasn't raining. So it was good enough for her! She'd sent out personal invites to her friends, and encouraged them to bring THEIR friends, as Fairy Tail's motto is always, "The more the merrier!" She actually hoped to see some new faces at the party in fact. Under Erza's supervision, the guild was tidied up and made presentable for guests. Most of the rooms were even open to the public.

Regina, Neveren and Justyne had even pitched in, helping with the cooking; their dog Herb was content to lounge outside and watch the fuss. As for Lucy, she was putting the final touches on few of the tables near the pool, keeping an eye out for guests.

[ OOC: Just setting up extra threads, but go nuts! Everyone is welcome who has positive, neutral, or no CR with the Fairy Tail gang and wants to play in a pool and be exposed to the madness :D For visual reference the guild closely resembles this ]

[She's just trying to get someone to apologize for being so rude.]

[He stops. He sniffs the air. Is that barbecue he smells?]

[She knows full well by now she wasn't going to get this rude guy to apologize and she knows she can't force it out of him no matter how many times she tries, but at the smell of food she does turn her head slightly. Could that be what he stopped talking for?]

You must be hungry, right?

[He sniffs at the air like a starved animal. King Hippo this is why you're fat.]

'Course I am!

[Still so gruff and rude, but he's climbing out of the empty pool now.]

[She went and moves, going to fetch something to eat. Right her she herself is standing there holding up a nice delicious burger.]

You know this smell wonderful. You do want it right?

[Of course he does! But he squints his mean little yellow eyes, and his frown deepens.]

What's the catch?

[No one's nice to King Hippo without strings attached!]

[She figured he would guess there was some catch and honestly, she usually wouldn't have one, but today she just wanted that one tiny thing.]

I just want one little sorry. [She figured he wouldn't still, but she sniffed the food slightly.]

It smells so good. I'm sure it tastes it too.

HUH! Forget that!

[He hoists himself bodily out of the pool, stumpy legs working to get him up over the lip and onto the sidewalk.]

Who do you think you are, tryin' to push King Hippo around? I ain't your lapdog!

[He looms over the smaller summoner.]

[Yuna continued to stay her ground. She's confronted bigger things than Hippo before. After all one of her friends kind were pretty tall themselves. She wasn't afraid and that showed.]

No, but at least I understand what good manners are, unlike some.

Like holding food ransom tryin' to make someone lick your boots! I got news for YOU!

[He rears back his glove...AND SNATCHES THE HAMBURGER TO SHOVE IT IN HIS MOUTH! Whatever he says next is unintelligible because he's yelling with his mouth full.]

[She had a close her eyes when food came flying out of his mouth and started hitting her on the face. That was really gross and rude and didn't help in Yuna's anger and she didn't like being angry one bit. When he was done, she moved her hand and started to wipe her face, she didn't have time to go fetch a napkin as she was about to speak.]

I'm sorry, I don't think I quite hard you over the sound of you eating. It's not that hard to chew with your mouth closed.

[King Hippo doesn't care if she didn't hear him. He just laughs raucously, more food and spittle flying out of his mouth before he turns to waddle off. That was a pretty good hamburger! He needs about ten more.]
