So.... hi. Hello.

I've been here for a few months now and everyone's been pretty friendly. It's a nice place.

[He fidgets, clearly a bit nervous but continues on.]

I now work in the Planetarium in Nova City and it's a really good place to visit and this is an invitation for more people to... umm... do so.

[He gives a quick little smile.]

You can learn more about space and star systems and planets and all of that. Most of the things to see are free so... come and check it out.

Which space and star systems is the planetarium focusing on? 'Cause we're like... all from different universes and shit. Is it actually clarifying Genessia's?

I think so. I'm not from here and I don't recognise any of the ones on display.

Hey, guy who's good at breaking rocks. You must be really smart. Do you have one of those 3-d simulations or whatever of the stars and stuff?

[He looks a bit uncomfortable at the first. When he tried the rock it would have been with some sort of crowbar and probably didn't achieve much. He also didn't think he was all that smart. He was taking the words at face value...]

I'm... not.

Uhh...

Yeah, they have displays like that.

Yeah you are. [Frowns. He doesn't like to see others doubting themselves.] Cool. And since you work there, you probably know a lot about the star systems.

I... Not really. I just make sure everything is running smoothly and not breaking down. I haven't had a good chance yet to study the displays. You'll have to come and see them for yourself if you want more knowledge about them.

I know a lot about the star systems back home though. I was a pilot.

[Well, he hadn't gotten to travel as much as he had wanted to, mostly going back and forth between a couple of places, but he had liked to learn about other systems.]

You know you're not very good at making people want to go to your museum. Haven't you heard of faking it til you make it? However that works.

[Cue the long, exaggerated gasp.] You flew IN SPACE?!?!

It's... well, it's not my museum. I just work there and it's been pretty quiet so I thought... maybe... more people might like to see it.

[He gives a shrug then lights up.]

Yeah, I always wanted to fly. It's... a shame there aren't any ships here.

You know what would make it less quiet? Explosions and a pancake bar.

Wow... [He's staring at him in awe, completely star-struck.] Yeah...it is. So why don't you build one?

Um. I'm not a ship builder but it has been suggested to me that we could try. Maybe if we could find some parts...

And I don't think we need any explosions here.

[He suppresses a shudder from a distant trace of a memory from just before he arrived here.]

If you need parts for a ship, Nova City's the best place to start. I'm sure there are plenty of companies with used tech that you could recycle. Want me to look around for you? [Too late he's already looking.]

But you didn't disagree to the pancakes.

[He chuckles.]

Pancakes would be fine. It's just not my place to make any here.

Have you met K-2SO?

[That nervous advertisement has Cassian smiling slightly.]

That reminds me, I still owe you a visit.

Yeah, you should come by when you're free.

I got distracted by taking care of the Pokemon, but I'll drop by soon.

[ Having taken off early the next day, Cassian finds himself at the planetarium, and asking around until he has been pointed to where Bodhi is currently working.

He looks a little bit awkward as he stands there in civilian clothes, coughing to get Bodhi's attention. ]

You told me to drop by... here I am.

[Armed with a spanner, Bodhi was turning some screws on a display when he heard the cough then the voice. He turns his head then breaks into a beaming smile at seeing the familiar face.]

You made it.

Of course. I told you I would, and I try to keep my promises.

[He looks around, still feeling a little awkward, and even more so for Bodhi's genuine joy at seeing him.]

It's nice here. Larger than I thought it'd be for sure... and it feels a little bit like home.

Yeah, it takes a bit of work to maintain everything although luckily it doesn't all break down at once.

[He chuckles softly.]

[Cassian responds with a small grin.]

I would hope so. I wager you don't want to be here on the day it does all break down at once. But if it's not now, do you have time to show me around?

At least it's not usually too crowded so I won't be too overwhelmed by demands to get everything working again quickly...

Sure.

[He glances around then points off to the right.]

We'll go this way.

Alright. I'll just follow you.

[Which is different from his usual take-charge attitude for sure, but... It feels right here and now.]

You look happy with your work. Do you enjoy it?

I do, yeah. It's... not so stressful here.

[Even before their mission, work had been stressful under the Empire.]

You're right, it's... different. [ He snorts. ] The difference the lack of war and a dictatorship make.

[ Cassian falls silent for a moment. ] I don't think I like this peace.

It would be useful to learn more about the stars of this world. Specially fi we somehow find a way to build a proper ship.

There are still the barriers.

Yes, I know but we could still fly without touching them. For the pleasure of it.

You don't miss flying?

Yes, of course.

I didn't know you did things for pleasure.

I usually don't, not often. But I like being useful and I was programmed with the ability to fly.

Is Cassian the one who programmed you?

Cassian reprogrammed me and altered my Imperial protocols, I was ordinary build by Arakyd industries.

So you remember all of the... before.

What it was like in the Empire.

Not everything, part of my databanks were completely rewritten or erased.

I remember enough to know I don't want to go back to that.

I will admit, never been to that place before in the years I've been here.

[He had no reason to, at least he thought so anyway.]

Places like that tend to be, but we don't really know of things outside of Genessia, so I always wonder how the people there might know, or if it's based on other worlds or what.

I don't know who made the place and I don't run it I only work here.

[And he thought some extra company around, even just milling around looking at the displays, would be nice to see.]

[That is why it was so interesting, because they know very little.]

You must of had to learn a lot though if people ask questions, right?

Well, I'm not a guide so, no, not really. I'm more... behind the scenes. Repairing stuff that stops working properly. Putting in new lights. Sweeping up. That sort of thing.

Ah, so sort of like the repair guy. They still have a tough job to do as well and you make it sound so secretive.

Uh... Do I?

I'm just doing the maintenance work, yeah.

Yeah saying behind the scenes makes you sound like your being a ninja. I know it's not true, but it made the job look interesting.
