[Today, Kaguya is surprisingly not appearing from her apartment! Instead, she appears to be standing behind the counter of a cozy little shop, her Chimecho floating contentedly behind her.]
Well, now that the excitement has died down a bit, I suppose now is the perfect time to announce that my quaint little shop is open for business!
[She grabs the device and pans it over to show off the rest of the shop's interior, which is mostly a variety of bonsai, pots, and other supplies one would need to begin and groom their own miniature tree.]
This is 'Princess Kaguya's Bamboo Forest', located on Maple Avenue & 7th Street in Genessia. [Kaguya can't help but smirk a little. Yes, she may be slightly vain. There are actually a number of bamboo plants around as well, and peeking out from behind one is her Lurantis.]
Feel free to come in and browse, or join me for a cup of tea.

[ Ayame nods as Kaguya excused herself to gather the tea, so the visiting woman just resumed her appreciation of the store while not straying far from the counter. ]
So what was your occupation before being sent to this world?
[ Ayame asked, inspecting a particular bonsai tree on a platform ]
no subject
My occupation? I suppose you could say I was a spectator of sorts.
[It's pretty spot-on, really. She more or less just watched incidents in Gensokyo go down from the sidelines. Except for that one time she was the cause of one such incident. And the time she and Mokou accidentally set the bamboo forest on fire. Oops.]
I've never had much in the way of a profession, unless you count my relatively short time as a princess.
no subject
Certainly. A princess is quite an occupation as good as any.
[ Ayame lets Kaguya lead the way to wherever the princess wants to have tea. ]
Though I'm curious, what made you stop being a princess? Did you relinquish your title?

[She leads the way to a small table towards the back of the shop, complete with chairs. Setting the tray on the table, she gives the woman a smile.]
Oh, no. I'm afraid I was exiled. [She actually sounds a little amused. She'd been kind of miffed when she'd first been exiled to Earth, but well, she ended up liking it more than her previous home.]

[ Ayame's eyes narrow for a moment, watching both Kaguya and the table she was setting up with the tea with near equal fascination. ]
If possible, I'd like to hear the story of that.
[ Ayame paces towards the table, gesturing towards the empty chair to ask permission to sit, just for formality's sake. She was taught manners since she was young, and it helps that she is in the company of royalty. ]

That part of the story isn't so long.
[She takes a seat herself, giving the woman a brief nod. Formalities were nice and all, but sometimes they just made things excessive.]
A friend of mine created the Hourai Elixir, which was forbidden to take. You might otherwise call it the elixir of immortality.

[ Ayame pulls the seat after that nod of confirmation, gently placing herself on it and waited, continuing to observe every minor detail her senses could soak in ]
I am familiar with similar tales from books I've read and myths I've heard as I child. It's quite fascinating and exciting to meet a person like you who are connected to such stories. Traveling the multiverse, I've met many different entities. It's something that never ceases to amaze.
Your friend, though. Are they from the Mount Hourai? I'm more familiar with it under a different name, but I know of the place. The one in my homeworld, at the very least.

Ah, no. Like myself, she is from the moon. She joined my exile a while after. Although I suppose I shouldn't call it an exile. More of an extended vacation, really. I liked my new home more than I thought I would.

[ Ayame repeats the words under her breath, taking a cup of tea from the tray and quietly appreciating its aroma before taking a quick sip for a taste. ]
And is your former "new" home more like Genessia than any of the other cities here?
no subject
[Except for the countless men who wanted her to marry them. The tea is definitely some sort of black tea blend.]
Hm...it's far more advanced. I honestly have only paid a visit to Fayren out of the other cities so far.

[ With the rule of having needed to work for at least a month to be able to start a business, Ayame guessed it was around that time. It's a new rule that was implemented after she got her business started. She suppose she lucked out on that one ]
In any case, if you ever find yourself feeling some wanderlust. I recommend a visit to Nova City. My world is much like it in technological level, there even is a subarchway that leads to one of the cities of my homeworld, albeit from an earlier time than I was drawn from. I would gladly show you around. Nova City has technology that could be useful for your business.

Closer to four or five, I think. I arrived here sometime before Christmas.
[And she started working not too long after that.]
Oh, I'm sure I'll have a little free time at some point. I'll admit much of the technology I've seen here is fascinating. I'm sure the Kappa could learn a few things from some of it.
[And hey, most of this stuff actually works.]
no subject
That they could. Come to think of it, there aren't many yokai in this realm. I have met a satori of all types, and they don't look at all like I'm used to seeing. Have you met them? They're very energetic and friendly I would be surprised if they don't approach every newcomer.

Indeed, I'm familiar with the Satori sisters, although I'm not that well acquainted with them. Even so, the younger one gifted me a pet rabbit for Christmas. She's a sweet girl, if not a bit misunderstood.
Fade-to-black here?
Yes. Despite her recent predicament that got a few people hurt, I do believe that Koishi is an entity of decent character. In fact, a bonsai tree is what she gave me for Christmas.
