You could say no, but we might break in and just drag you off with us anyways.

Blake, Are you busy today?

You better not be because Yang, Jaune and I are going shopping and you're coming too!

Be ready in like an hour, an hour and a half tops.

[You know, it would be easy to just get up and walk over Yang's room and tell her the plan, but Ruby's already on the phone so why bother getting up?]

Yaaaaaaang! We're going shopping with Jaune and Blake today, get ready!

[Raye smiles a little, honestly touched at Ruby's thoughtfulness before she starts scrubbing the napkins over her damp sleeves and hair.]

This stupid city drives me nuts sometimes. I was just walking down the street minding my own business when suddenly this huge snowdrift just drops on me out of nowhere! Thanks a lot, Genessia.

You too!? I think it's happened to me like three times now. Once I wasn't even near a building when it happened, just bam! suddenly covered in snow.

That's exactly how it happened to me!

[She should probably stop complaining now, though. She didn't come here to be a major bummer, she'd rather spend some time with her friend.]

Hey, since we're both here, why don't we go pick out some clothes together?

[In fact she likes that idea so much that she's going to leap up from her seat, take Raye by the hand and start looking for a store to start in. New friend, yay!]

[Raye blinks in surprise. She's usually the one who drags people along...mostly Chad, to help her carry stuff home in exchange for letting him sing horrifically. So this is new to her! But it's kind of nice, too. Ruby's got that same friendly warmth to her that Serena has, and it still works to win Raye over.]

Well...how about something casual to wear out on the town?

[Like white jeans and wide-necked blouses. More 90's clothes can't be wrong!]

[Raye is Ruby's new pal, so she's going to have to deal with awkward girl dragging her around. She really appreciated how nice Raye was to her when she got here and wanted to show her how much that meant to her.]

Great idea, I don't really have much to wear at the moment. I've picked up a few things here and there since I got here, but nothing that really goes together.

[Okay, the dragging has turned more into skip as they walk go on toward the first clothing store she sees.]

[Raye does not skip. She is too serious and mature for that. But she'll let Ruby skip if she wants to.]

[Once inside the store, Raye detaches. She seems to avoid the clearance rack for now, instead focusing on what seems to be most prominently displayed. It's always good to know what's in style. She moves past a rack of sweaters and pauses, running her hand over a sleeve.]

Have you ever had a chenille sweater before? Feel this, it's mega-soft.

[Ruby will stop shortly after she realizes that Raye wont be joining in on the skipping. It's a little embarrassing if it's just one of them doing it.

When Raye asks about the sweater, Ruby will move to run her hand along it as well.]

No, I can't say that I ha- Oh wow! This really is soft, I think I'll get two!

[Raye chuckles.]

Wait until we find one that's angora. They're expensive, but perfect when you've got someone to cuddle with.

[Hers hadn't seen much action other than a couple of evenings spent with Darien, but he didn't even seem to notice. What a waste! She'll have to get one just in case a decent guy does show up here, but she's not going to hold her breath.]

[Raye blinks in surprise. Try on a scarf? She holds the accessory for a moment as if Ruby just handed her an alien serpent, then shrugs and winds it around her neck.]

Seems pretty cozy. I could do with a scarf, I suppose. Good color, too.

[She tucks it under her arm. Ruby wants her to buy it, right?]
