Sonico Surviving [voice and action]

 *Since healing some more, Sonico has been trying hard to get back to everyday life. Not just work and hiding at home, but living a normal life. Or something like it. Trying to get out and about more, she can be found:

A) Nova City Mall
Sonico is looking for some new clothing - everything from hoodies and skirts to underwear. Between times, Sonico sits at the mall food court, alone as she quietly eats some fries, or sips on a coffee.

B) Some Bar in Genessia or Nova City
Again alone, Sonico can be found sitting at a table or in a booth, sipping at a beer bottle through a straw. Her headphones are usually on, and she looks much more engrossed in her music than her surroundings.

C) The Library
Sonico wound up with some overdue books, living like a hermit like that. So she takes a backpack with her to return them, then goes on a hunt for some new things to read. She might even try out the fiction section this time.

Hello, everyone. Sonico here. First, I'd like to say thank you to everyone for being so kind to me lately. It very much appreciate it. Second, I'd like to ask if anyone might be interested if I had a gig in a smaller venue, playing acoustic instead? It's not my usual but...I thought perhaps it would be nice to try.

Very sure! After all, if Jigglypuff can sing to them, I don't see why you couldn't. Though I'll understand if it's not possible; goodness knows I'd raise an anxious brow if I knew I'd play host to a veritable zoo.

[ Mariko haven't been shopping much ever since she got her. She got enough clothes and necessities to last her a while, and she mostly stuck to online shopping. Because why not? She's in Nova City, everything here is high-tech, so why bother with going to a mall? Well, sometimes going to one can be a vacation of sorts. Shopping in person is a stress-relief exercise of it's own. The familiarity it brings and the welcoming atmosphere brings her back to her own world, but the advanced technology and the more diverse populace adds an extra interest.

So that's what Mariko planned for today, just going around shopping for various things. She drops by a casual clothing store where she spots Sonico browsing. Not one to say hello, especially to someone who wear's headphones, Mariko just taps Sonico's shoulder and gives a lazy wave hello ]

[Action] - Nova City Mall

*Completely zoned out and in a world of her own while she listened to her music, Sonico is totally caught by surprise at the finger tapping on her shoulder. Thank goodness she wasn't holding anything or she would have dropped it as she yelled out in shock.

When she realised it was Mariko, Sonico stopped panicking, though she was still flushed and wide eyed*

Oh! Mariko! I'm so sorry! I just - oh, I got such a fright!

You're in a mall, chill.

[ She's not even sorry, or at least it looks that way. Mariko remains stalwart, just looking at Sonico with a puzzled furrow of her brows ]

Everything okay? Even before I scared you, you just look so lost in your own world.

[ She knows about the headphones, and how some people can get really absorbed in the music they listen to. She's one of those people. But given how Sonico was in their video conversation last, Mariko wants to be sure if Sonico's trauma is still really consuming her. ]

[She's only alone until some jerkoff who can't take a hint comes by and bonks the top of her head with the back of his hand. He puts his other hand on the back of the other chair at the table.]

*Sonico starts when the head touches her head, nearly knocking over her bottle by mistake. She breathes out deeply in relief when she realises that it's Namur, and she removes her headphones carefully*

H-hi! And no, it isn't, so feel free to take it if you need it.

[Namur deftly flips it around and sits backwards in it, leaning long arms on the table.]

[Kay has no use for clothes and rarely gets anythign for himself. Today's not exception, he's looking for new clothes for Cassian when he spots Sonico. He waves at her to get the girl's attention but she seems too distracted to notice him and the droid walks over her.]

*Sonico is indeed very distracted, but fortunately it's hard to miss a giant droid so she can snap out of it before he gets to her. She puts the dress she was holding back on the shelf and turns to him with a smile*

[Even after 8 years in teh Rebellion, some people still got started and suspicious when Kay approaches them. Here in genessia, because no one knew about the Empire, that happened less often and Kay was able to relax around people. That's another of the reason why he likes Sonico so much, she never seems scared of him.]

Doing well, thanks. I'm looking for new clothes for Cassian, he would wore the same ugly green uniform he always does if left alone. How are you feeling? Sleeping a bit better, perhaps?

[Blaze happened to be in today, looking a bit scuffed up and drowsy, but he was still efficiently checking books back in. He had headphones on and a lidded coffee nearby on a separate table from the books, both to keep him as awake as he possibly could be.

He glances up when he sees a familiar face lugging that backpack with her, tilting his headphones off slightly.]

*Sonico smiled when she saw Blaze was working and gave a shy little wave. She would have let him get on with what he was doing but she looked grateful when he offered since she struggled with her backpack*

Oh, thanks. I just have...so many books to return!

[He'll rest the backpack on a clear part of the desk, looking back over to her. He certainly wasn't going to open the backpack himself, though, that'd be a dick thing to do.]

Acoustic means that it will just be me and an acoustic guitar. I usually use electric and a big band on a big stage. So it's quite different.

[There was always one advantage to living in Nova City even if it was the more expensive place and it was the shopping. There was so much one could get and it was sim ply amazing for a girl who was taught by a friend what good fashion was.

Advantage of knowing a model, really.

However when lunch came was always something Krista didn't know what to do. Mostly because she didn't know what to eat or at least what would be a good thing to eat. So wondering around, she looked at the various places to offer, hands full of bags as she looked over. Sometimes it was okay to ask for help.]

Excuse me? This... might seem awfully strange, but um... [Krista cannot help but feel rather awkward about it.]

I need help in deciding where the best place to eat will be. Will you help me with that?

*Sonico herself had a few bags over her arm and was trying to choose what to eat as she stood near the entrance of the food court.

When she hears someone trying to get her attention, Sonico turns to her with a smile*

Of course! I often work in the mall so I've eaten here a few times. What kinds of food do you like?

Honestly... not food that one would normally find here, but I thought, mum's not here so why not.

[Another thing her mother always made sure of, that she ate well and ate the right things, even if every now and again she wanted to have a little unhealthy snack.]
