[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]

GCBL Tournament
The GCBL (Genessia City Baseball League) has announced that it will be holding a tournament to decide the most dominant team in the city. The tournament will feature 16 teams with single match eliminations. Meaning, if a team loses one match, they are out of the tournament. The teams are as followed:

It's the magical version of the flu. Get some rest, drink lots of fluids, don't do anything stressful. Really. You need rest and medicine. Genessia General will be shipping some NyQuil and DayQuil to Fayren to lessen the symptoms. We'll work on developing the equivalent of the flu shot in Genessia.
Uninfected medical-based mages please contact Genessia General to work with our pathology department on a way to temporarily suppress magic casting during hyper-expressive symptoms of the infection.

Fallen Storeowner
A local business owner in Everglade, as well as his family was found murdered in their homes over the weekend. Beheading is the apparent cause of death in this particular case. The symbol of the Children of Elo was found carved into a single wall inside of the home, traces of blood was found in the carving as well.
It is believed that the same weapon that was used to kill the home’s occupants was also used to make the carving upon the wall. Storeowners that knew the murder victim can’t understand why he would be targeted. A small vigil is being prepared for the store owner in question as well as his family.

Lights, Camera, Murder: An actor on a television show was found murdered in his dressing room similar to how a character on the show had been murdered. It's unknown who is responsible, but a level 2 payment is being offered for their capture.
Nova City
Think Tank: 5 Scientist in Nova City have teamed up and are using their invention to wreak havoc upon the city. A level 2 payment is being offered for the capture of each one.
Tristen – A Scientist that has invented what he calls a “Vertigun”. When used on a person, the gun induces a strong case of vertigo into the victim.
Darinell – Created a set of high energy laser claws capable of slicing through most metals.
Sirah – Invented what a weapon that fires a strange sticky substance that is hard to escape from. Victims have been stuck in place for over an hour.

Title: Weiss Decisions for Weiss Schnee's Schnee Company Departure Project
Info: Despite recent turmoil about ownership of the company, founder and recently resigned C.E.O. Weiss Schnee decided to finish one final project before her departure from the company. This long-standing project has been kept close to the chest given its cooperation from the company Aster Tech, which had recently come under fire given the incidences with disgraced former employee, Dr. Seek. Work continued on the project confidentially between Schnee Company and Aster Tech.
So what is this mystery project? "Project Ways" is a dual quick-travel and criminal tracking alert system that will be accessible to anyone with one of the readily available devices. Aster Tech's contributions allow new fully tested teleportation technology to move users from one tower to the other in a matter of only a few seconds- meaning you could be on one side of town faster than you can say "How convenient is this?!" In a collaboration with Schnee Company, the technology is being distributed through all five cities utilizing employees with the capability to cross archways. Each archway will have a Ways Point located just at the gates to make quick travel across subarchways accessible.
Ways Points activate using user data from devices. No data is retained unless the user is flagged by the local City Guardian's office as a wanted criminal. While those with past records may still use the system, active or wanted criminals will effectively shut down the system until they are out of usage range and send a notification to the City Guardian's office that includes the name of the criminal and which Ways Point they were in range of. This prevents the Ways Points from becoming quick escape routes during law enforcement pursuits as well as offers monitoring at the subarchway gates and throughout town. While it can't detect anyone if they leave their devices at home, anyone within a 15 foot range of the Ways Point is in range for a scan.
"We don't retain any data from regular users, so there's zero threat of privacy invasion. All the system does is run through the CPU to make sure that there's not an outstanding warrant for the user before they utilize the system. The Nova City Guardian's office will be running routine checks both through Schnee Company and Aster Technology to ensure that data mining isn't an issue," Weiss Schnee shared with the Tribune after the press conference announcing the project's near completion.
Aster Technology representatives mentioned that it is their intention to help make life easier for everyone regardless of previous employees.
"Innovation doesn't stop because of some bad PR," said Aster Tech's Public Relations Officer J'Kin Onk, "We're just happy we're able to be a part of such a noble project and that Schnee Company beared with us while we went through some difficult times. We look forward to future collaborations with their new leader Mr. Whitley."
The Genessia Tribune did not get to try out the new system yet, but were told that they were looking at a mid-June launch date for Project Ways's implementation.
