...Somehow I doubt that the...good...people...will need intimidation to keep them in line. And those who truly wish to start trouble likely won't be intimidated by your statement. They'll cause trouble regardless.

I was speaking with Weiss about Guardianship...partially because I would like to attempt a Guardianship in Fayren. As I understand it, a Guardian is supposed to make people feel safe, not intimidated. So that's something I will have to work on between now and this coming election...

Let them cause rebellious trouble. They will soon learn that it is a mistake.

I am not a Guardian. I am a Deputy and keeper of the order. Those who have no guilt will have nothing to fear.

The people decide upon Guardians. That is what I have heard.

And a..."Deputy"...represents the Guardian, does it not? So how people see you will affect how they see the Guardian. That goes for any kind of leader, really. You said you have led armies, right?

I have and I do not see how making sure that all potential troublemakers are warned that their actions have consequences is in any way a slight upon the Guardians. Anything less would be a weakness.

It's not a slight upon the Guardians. I'm just saying it would make the citizens see the Guardians in a negative light. Most new arrivals are already on edge about being brought to another world that they know nothing about. They don't need to hear a threat first thing upon arrival.

I am not here to be a welcoming committee. That part is already covered.
