Why do they not seem to be approachable to you?

Well... Whenever I spoke to Jaune, the conversation just seems to end very quickly. As for Weiss, I've seen her be engaged in conversation with all sorts of people on the network, but whenever I try? She helped me get to safety when the barriers over Everglade and Genessia broke, but whenever I try to talk to her, she comes off as stand-offish and it feels like she just wants me to go away.
