[Waking.

It's a very unusual feeling. Seth looks down at his hand and rotates it with a curious glint reflecting in his pale yellow eyes. This is very new. New can be many things and as Seth drops into the pool of water he tries to figure out what sort of new this was. Good new? Usual new? Shocking new? He doesn't think it's bad but the word to describe his current situation escapes him.

With surprising calm he walks towards the video and eyes the pamphlets. He empties the box he'd been given into the pockets of his jacket before playing with the phone. He knows about phones, he's watched the world develop over time, but this is the first time he's gotten to use one.

He likes it.

Seth chooses to stand at the mouth of the bay, playing with his new phone and watching those who walk by. He likes watching. You can learn a lot by watching and he's interested in learning. Anyone walking by will see a man standing just shy of six feet with white hair, a lip ring and overly form attire.]

[Seth flicks on the video when he decides that he's done playing with his new phone. Pale yellow eyes stare at the screen, complimented by messy white hair and a smirk on his lips. The bay is visible behind him but not much more.]

Hey all. [It feels like the best way to address the masses.] Name's Seth and it looks like I'm your new neighbor. One of them anyway.

[His tongue flicks along his bottom lip, making his lip ring glint noticeably.] There are a lot of questions out there. I'm sure I'll learn. Any tips for the new guy would be great. If not, what do you like doing around here? How you holding up? I'm sure some of you are doing better than others.

[He's curious by nature.]

[Pink hair, new, bright eyed, cute: he quickly asses before nodding his head with an amused expression. He's happy for the warm welcome. He likes people as a general rule.]

Thanks for the welcome. Don't worry about me though. I am used to traveling and mange just fine.

What about you? What do you do around here?

*She does look a little relieved - she is so used to people freaking out when they arrive*

Me? Well...I spend my time doing different things. But mostly, these days, I sing. I'm a musician. I suppose...

*She does seem a little embarrassed to talk about herself*

[Seth has seen too much to be freaked out now. His long life has been spent fading between worlds, not really existing anywhere. He doesn't think it's safe here either but he's warmed by the diversion.]

Oh?

What is it that you sing? [Pale yellow eyes glance upwards while his tongue once again drags over his lower lip. Playing with his lip ring is a bad habit.] I'd be interested in hearing you.

Well... I sing all sorts of things.

*She glances down, really quite bashful to be speaking so much about herself*

Usually, rock, or perhaps rock pop, is more of my thing. But I've been trying to do more acoustic lately. I've also lately taken up a singing spot at a club, Velvet Lust. That's a bit more smooth and jazz, I suppose.

Sounds like you have a taste for a type.

[He remarks in a warm tone.]

Velvet Lust? I'll have to come by and see you perform. In a non-stalkerish way. Though with a name like that, it's hard to take it as anything else. [He's only teasing. For someone so seemingly docile he's curious about where she works. It doesn't sound like a docile place.]

Please, feel free. It'd be great to have more customers there.

*She smiles and tilts her head, glancing aside in her embarrassment of the name of the place*

Yes...But it's a good place. At least, downstairs is very classy. I, uh, don't know much about the upstairs...

I'll just stay down stairs. I'll only be there for you.

[It isn't that Seth isn't interested in learning what a place called the Velvet Lust has in the rooms above but it isn't his intent. He's curious to see this girl in that setting, as calm and docile as she appears to be. Maybe he's wrong about her and there is something more. There is only one way to find out.]

When do you play next?

Oh. Of course.

*Don't blush, Sonico. You haven't even met this guy - surely his comment is innocent*

Hmm...Tomorrow night, I think. It's an earlier slot, around 8pm, I think. But yes, tomorrow night.

[Seth smiles a little more genuinely.]

I'll be there. You're of course welcome to join me after your set but I won't force you. [He's a fairly relaxed guy.]

Perfect!

*Sonico smiles, despite how bashful she feels*

It's always nice to get feedback after a show.

[Seth chuckles softly, his voice low and silky.]

It's a date but I warn you, I can be a cruel judge of music. Not sure that you'll want to hear my full review.

*That chuckle, and calling it a date, Sonico can't help but colour a little. As he talks about judging, though, her expression becomes more serious*

Oh, no, I'm sure I will. I'm always interested in hearing how I can improve.

That's good. Generally speaking, everyone has the ability to improve.

[He smiles when he see's her blush. It's cute and innocent. She reminds him of someone he knew a long time ago, a little girl that had offered a lost soul some ice cream.]

I'll see you then. We can talk more then as well.

*Sonico smiles again and bows her head gently*

I look forward to it. And I hope you can enjoy my performance.

*Later, if he is to visit Velvet Lust, he'll find her in the classily decorated downstairs venue. She is on a stage with a small band, but they are just the right accompaniment to her smooth and sultry jazz. She is dressed to reflect the mood of the place too - a black, fitted evening dress, flattering in all the right places. Of course, she wasn't think of the allure of her outfit and make up given that most of her fans and clientele are gay men*

[Seth nods his head but says nothing more. There is something in his eyes that speaks volumes but only for those who listen. When he arrives he's wearing the same vest and button down shirt that he'd worn before. His belt is a little older, worn leather with runes burned into it. His eyes are focused on the stage as he finds a place to sit and watch the young woman play. He orders himself a bottle of wine and asks for two glasses, in case Sonico is inclined to drink after her performance.

His eyes are only on her, despite those milling around him. The second empty glass at his table makes it so that no one else approaches him. When she's done he claps, lifting his hand only when he knows that he's caught her gaze. Making sure that she knows the offer to join him is still open.]

*During the applause, Sonico smiles as she bows, looking pleased but very bashful. She makes sure that plenty applause is given for the band too. Then she makes her way through the crowd, pausing to talk to those that she recognises, waving away their compliments.

Sonico waves to let him know she's on her way, then finally arrives at the table. She smiles gratefully*

Hello. Thank you for coming. I hope you've enjoyed your evening so far.

[Seth's patient, he has no other plans and isn't going anywhere any time soon.]

I have. Would you like some?

[He waves to the glass in front of him.]

*Sonico looks at the glass of wine, surprised as she assumed that it was for someone else*

Oh, I'd like that. Thank you.

*Smiling, she takes the seat opposite his, smoothing out her dress as she crosses her legs*

[Seth pours her a glass and then relaxes in his seat.]

You surprised me. How long have you been playing?

[She doesn't look that old but he knows that looks can be deceiving.]

*Sonico nods is thanks when he pours the wine and pulls the glass closer to her. She smiles a little when he says he's surprised*

Hmm, a couple of years or so. I have always been singing but... it's only recently I've had the confidence to be on stage in public.

Why's that? A cute thing like you. I imagine you have a hundred adoring fans all over the worlds.

[It's an easy comment though one that Seth feels is true. While he might embellish, he tries not to lie.]

*Sonico just laughs at that, awkward at the thought and shaking her head to show how strange she found the idea*

Oh, no. It really isn't at all like that.

Modest too.

[He takes a sip of his drink.]

I think you have more fans than you know.

*Sonico smiles shyly as she takes a sip of her own wine. She seems to savour it quite happily*

Oh? You think so?

*She takes another sip*

As long as I can make people happy, that's the important thing.

You're a good entertainer. In it for the right reasons.

[He watches her with a curious eye but also watches the people around her. How they look at her and how they treat her. It's interesting the way she catches peoples gaze and holds it.]
